MINIX 165W USB C Charger, 140W PD 3.1 GaN Fast Charging Station for MacBook

This is the second of these 140W chargers that work with my MacBook Pro Max, I got. So now ai don’t need to take one around. I have one at work and one at home. There is an improvement on this. The adapter plug has been turned the other way, so when you plug it into the socket the weight of the charger push down into the plug. Previously the plug was connected with the weight pulling out of the plug. Still provide the fast charging function in a compact block than the Apple version. And you can still charge your phone or iPad with the same charger at the same time since it has 4 ports. Looks great. Good quality feel to the block. Definitely value for money.

This charger is definitely worth having, especially if you have friends comes by, and may need to charge their phones or Laptops. Make sure to also aquire charging cables that are 60 wats and above for faster speeds. It's portable of course, and it doesn't feel dangerously overheated.

Works as advertised, looks sturdy. Gets really hot nearly concerningly hot while charging around 100+ W. the interchangeable heads have security pins but the brick does not have any place for it to sit. So the heads can come of easily.

Terrific charger. Light, small and powerful. The first one I got was missing one eu plug head, but Amazon replaced within 24 hours so an all around excellent experience. Currently using it on a plane without issues; have used in the UK and in Europe.

The unit and the plug are separate items and the unit keeps falling off the plug, no good absolute rubbish

Brilliant product. I had a slightly smaller lower power version, but it is so good I've bought another one so I can keep one at home and one on my work bag. Absolutely excellent quality.

Working well. It is getting a bit warm, but not excessive.

This is not a well designed product. But first let's just say under ideal circumstances it does work. However the main issues are the design of the UK plug adapter, which I think is supposed to click into place, but doesn't so the main body of the charger slips out of it's own accord leaving the adapter inconveniently in the wall outlet. This might just be the unit I bought, but it doesn't look like this was very well thought out. The second issue is the labeling of the sockets on the main body which is far too low key and very difficult to read.

Failed 1 month after purchase. Overheats.

Solid. Reliable. Great travel device - phone/laptop/ipad/pods/watch However: Mine did not come with the travel adaptor - it was not in the box.

If you bring a lot of electronics with you and travel to foreign countries this is a great charger with a lot of power. it does get super warm sometimes. Also has standard US plug as well.

Charges all my devices as intended. Good portability and different socket options for traveling make this a great companion for charging Laptops, smartphones etc. on the go. Even devices that seem a bit picky about their chargers accept this thing without any trouble. Also works on Laptop docks via PD no problem. Check description and images for specifications. I bought this to replace a 66W similar Minix unit that I have used as my travel charger for the last 2 years. I needed something a little more powerful, especially that could charge my laptop and a phone at the same time. These are great as the plugs can be changed which is very flexible if you live in the Uk, travel in Europe and the US. The unit is very well made, and fairly heavy - it definitely does the job and seems to be a quality unit. The unit will charge a laptop at up to 140W, with a second port capable of 100W (obviously not when the first port is charging at 100+W), a 30W USB C port and a USB A port for legacy cables and devices needing up to 22.5W. I agree with some others that the Minix plugs do have a tendency to come off the charger, but when new this one seems secure. It is also a little odd that when the UK plug is attached, the writing on the ports is upside down, but this hardly makes a big difference once you know how the unit works. Overall, very happy.. and my old 66W unit can be used as a hotel room charger for phones and other small devices :-)
