I bought this cayenne pepper because I needed a straightforward way to wake up soups and stews without adding salt or extra ingredients. It's described as pure dried and ground red pepper, and I like that it brings heat without changing the texture. It’s certified Kosher Pareve too, which is a plus for keeping pantry options flexible. In everyday cooking, a pinch goes a long way. I sprinkle it into chili, tomato soup, or a veggie dip, and the heat comes on quickly but stays balanced. It dissolves easily into sauces and spreads so I can adjust without any clumping. What stood out is how the heat starts and finishes without masking the other flavors. It adds a clean kick that lets the other ingredients shine. A small note is that a little goes a long way, so I start with less and taste as I go. There is a bit of a learning curve to dial in the right amount for different dishes. Overall, it earns a solid five stars from me.

Just note that the Lawry's Cayenne Pepper is a Premium pepper. The flavor is very robust, the spice flavor is strong just as you would expect. Color is vibrant which gives you an automatic sense of spiciness. As you may well be aware that Cayenne does have some health benefits, like Heart and Antiinflammatory benefits. All said and done, I am very please with the Lawry Cayenne and will use again. Perfect.

I got this to sprinkle on the seed in my birdfeeders to keep the squirrels away. I can say it is very hot/spicy and does the job. The birds are not bothered by it but the squirrels hate it. And no for anyone that says it’s bad for birds, it is not because you can buy bird seed with it already on it.
