Someone got this for me, hoping beyond hope to replace a homemade wrist rest that I have used for several years. It’s perfect. Previously, I had a cushion made from a cell phone case, wrapped in a soft towel, with Velcro attaching it to the right corner of my desk. It worked well, but it needed maintenance and replenishing. That foam cushion would shrink down and it was wearing thin. So I know what a poorly-made wrist rest is like. They squish down and stop supporting your wrist, and you get pain in your arm, wrist, hand, and the base of your thumb. When this arrived, I was a bit skeptical. It was a little taller than my last one. But I liked the larger size. The Velcro straps it came with make it a bit easier to install and remove for cleaning under it. I think it has a drawback if you use it standalone, because the bottom doe not have a rubberized, non-slip area - it is plastic with a grid-like area. Mine is on my desk on top of a rubber, oversized keyboard mat. But on my desk, the straps go around a part of my desk that has a hinge, so it stays in place without a rubber bottom. And unlike their picture, mine is sideways. The wrist rest has lessened the fatigue I feel when using my trackball mouse all day, even compared to my old wrist rest. The best part is the cushion is very resilient. It’s soft, but it doesn’t flatten out. It’s stiffer than my last one, which is part of why it’s better and more supportive. It’s very highly recommended for trackball users.

I have awful neck and shoulder problems and it's definitely NOT because I sit like I'm a yoga instructor at my desk all day (i.e. legs swung over the side of the chair, crisscross apple sauce, knees to chest, etc.). So, I'm trying to be less slouchy, and more ergonomic. One of my biggest issues is the gap between the arm of my chair and my mouse, so this looked like the perfect solution. The padding on the armrest is nice and thicker than I thought it would be. It does extend to my mouse pad so that's nice. The velcro fit perfectly on the front/top part of my chair, but not the back. However, the back of my chair's armrest does widen towards the back (but not by much). I was disappointed because I feel like, for the price, they could have added more velcro. So in the picture (pardon the dust, I, moved my mousepad!) only the front part is secured by velcro. I will either have to buy more velcro (which defeats the purpose of this purchase) or give it to my husband to try with his chair. I think it will work fine if you have a chair that has a thinner armrest, it just didn't work out for me.

The arm rests on my computer chair are already padded, so I got this mainly for the extension that it advertised, to help support my wrists better when I'm typing. The padding of my arm rests are also more soft and comfortable, this seems to be a sort of memory foam that's a bit stiff. Not exactly sure what it is, but it is foam. And the plate which surrounds it is cheap plastic. I have included photos to show you how mine does, and it seems to extend the arm rest for about two inches. Effectively, it's supposed to bridge the gap between the arm rest and your mouse pad/mouse, or keyboard so you don't have to lift your wrist up so much, and prevent it at least help with wrist fatigue. And for that purpose, it seems to do a pretty good job, so for now I'll rate it four stars. Will update with a long term review later.

Okay, I'll admit it - I messed up. When I ordered this Ergonomic Arm Rest Chair Mouse Pad, I somehow glossed over the part where it said "single unit." Yep, you read that right. ONE armrest. So, imagine my surprise when a tiny box showed up instead of the pair I was expecting. If you want support for BOTH arms, you gotta buy two. Seriously, who made that choice on this thing? It feels like a blatant money grab, especially given the price. But let's move on to the armrest itself. Attaching it to my chair was a struggle. The straps felt flimsy, and no matter how much I adjusted them, it never felt secure. In the end, I gave up and just plopped it on my desk. It worked okay for a while, but the padding was pretty thin, so it wasn't all that comfortable. After a week or two, I stopped using it altogether. Now it's just gathering dust on my desk. Honestly, this product was a huge disappointment. It's overpriced, uncomfortable, and the whole "single unit" thing is ridiculous. I definitely wouldn't recommend it, and I regret wasting my time on it. There are much better armrests out there for the same price, so do yourself a favor and skip this one.

They clip on to the desk really easily and snap down when you're not using them. When you are using them, you just rest your lower arms on them as you type and move around, they swivel with you. I didn't realize that when I purchased them--I assumed they were fixed in place but they're not. It didn't take long to get used to and they really support my arms well. If you're working in a tight space and/or you have a chair without arms and need support, I definitely recommend them! One was a little tighter and not as loose to swivel when I got it but as I used it the first day, it loosened right up. Definitely look at the types of desks it WILL NOT clip onto before you buy it to be sure it will work on your desk. Another plus: they're lightweight so they're portable. I WFH but will probably take them into the office next time I have to go, just to clip them to the work station I'm at, to help keep my arms supported there, because they're that easy to use. Definitely recommend 100%

The stiffness of the foam is perfect and it's not too soft or too hard. My only wish is if it was slightly longer and broader. The Velcro straps are a little short and should be longer. I had to swap one out and put in a longer one so it could wrap around my arm rest more effectively. But this thing is REALLY comfortable and typing my keyboard while having my elbow rest on it is super comfortable. I'll probably get another one for the other arm rest too!

Straps are not big enough for armrests that are a bit wider. The straps are half/half down the front with Velcro, which means when the strap is barely long enough to wrap around the armrest that the grippy portion of the Velcro folds back on itself rather than grabbing the acceptor half of the strap. I had to grab two of my own velcro straps (grippy on front and acceptor on back) for this armrest to stay. THEN I've been using it for a few weeks now and it has an indention where I put my elbow typically. So, the cushion of the extension is now a bit moot. It is soft, but it is not thick enough for real comfort. It has a forward and behind so you cant swap it around. It's just a bit underwhelming to be honest. I had it at four stars, but after explaining all of this I'm moving it to three. It is a bit softer than my current armrest and now that I have the added straps it sticks HARD in place. So, I'll leave it at three stars.

I really like the concept of this armrest cover, and I can see where, if it worked better on my chair, it would do exactly what it says it would. Unfortunately, the straps are super short, so you need to have a smaller armrest for the straps to be of any use. On my armrest, which has a thicker profile, I was only able to get one of the straps secured, and barely so, at that. The second strap was too short by maybe two inches to be of any use to me. I will be looking around to see if I can find longer straps elsewhere, but I hate to have to do that for the price of this single item, especially since you only get one. Nonetheless, I would have liked it, if it fit better.
