Wonderful presidential rollerball pen. Picked it up on black friday sale for half msrp; 10/10. The pen itself is tasteful and understated; Black lacquer with gold highlights is simple and elegant. Comes with one black gel rollerball refill inside the pen (no extra refill) that I'd say is a Medium but can't say for sure because the refill doesn't say the size. Writes very smoothly and lays down a nice solid black line with no skips whatsoever. Small note, the gel ink smells a bit funny, like toasted rubber or kerosene; I assume that that is due to how this particular gel is made, most likely from petroleum. If you don't like the smell, you can always buy a Cross rollerball ink refill that isn't gel. This pen of course only accepts Cross refills, though there may be third party sellers that make compatible refills. Multiple colors are avaiable for refills which is very nice! Pen itself has a very nice hefty, solid weight to it, and is very comfortable to grip and write with. The pen cap posts very well and securely, this adds some extra weight to the pen but is not a problem. Unless you have very large hands, I would say this pen is long enough to be used unposted. I personally like using it posted because I like the extra bit of weight and the look of the pen posted better. Overall, a wonderful and luxuriouspen, writes fantastically, looks beautiful without being in any way extravagant. This is the pen that the President uses, with good reason! 100% recommended, especially if you can get it on sale.

This pens sleek design is perfect for me.

This pen is a great writer, however the first time I got it I did not receive a refill with it like it says on the description. So I decided to do a replacement of the item to get the refill along with the pen. The second one came and it also did not have a refill, be careful because Amazon cannot help you with this unless you return the full item. And after time wasted going to return the item and waiting for it to get back I am not confident that the third time around it'll come with the refill just a warning though, the pen is great and it writes very well. Feels good in the hand and it's weight is great. Note: Amazon cannot help you out in getting a refill, the only option they gave me was to return the item for my money back.

This is a solid and classic design at a good price when bought on sale. Cross Selectip refills work great and blue ink performs beautifully. Pen is balanced and feels great in my large hand. I’m a dedicated Cross pen purveyor and would highly recommend this pen!

Great pen for pen collectors

U.S. presidents with few exceptions have signed bills into law and other documents of international importance using the Cross Century II. Beautiful instrument; pleasing writing experience. Sure to draw attention and complements when removed from the inner pocket of a suit jacket for your signature.

J'ai adoré la prise en main, et il roule très bien

Ich habe den Century II nun schon über 3 Jahre und es mein Lieblingsschreibgerät. Wobei der Start nicht so überragend war, das lag aber an der Mine, die mitgeliefert wurde. Die war einfach für die Tonne. Seither erfüllt jede Ersatzmine, ob blau oder schwarz, perfekt ihre Aufgabe. Was man hervorheben muss, ist die Leichtigkeit, mit der man übers Papier gleitet. Das heißt für mich schon was, denn als Linkshänder passt nicht jeder Stift zu mir. Aber diesen kann ich jederzeit empfehlen!

Been using Cross since decades. This purchase finally completes the Cross family - Matt black ballpoint Century classic fountain pen, Cross Century Ii fountain pen. This is not matt black but is shiny lacquered. It blends with the matt black family well. It is beautifully crafted. The ink from the rollerball pen flows smoothly. It's grip is excellent - firm & is a well balanced pen. Not top heavy. Easy to use as expected from a fine quality rollerball pen. Like all Cross Century family it's size is at par with Century II fountain pen. Got it as price dipped below 80 £. It is definitely value for money and is a fine writing instrument for the discerning. Cross throughout.
