I’ve been using this vertical MacBook dock since December and honestly it has met all my expectations. I have it hooked up to my MacBook and a monitor, plus I installed one of those little NVMe drives inside it to expand storage when my laptop is connected. Everything just works. The build feels solid and it looks really good on my desk. Having my MacBook stand upright saves me a bunch of space and keeps things looking clean. All the ports have worked like they should. My monitor connects through HDMI without any issues, my keyboard and mouse run smooth, and the extra storage shows up right away every time I dock my laptop. I don’t really get why the product is sitting at a 4.0 rating on Amazon. For me it’s been a 5 star experience. No complaints at all, it has done exactly what I wanted it to do. If you want a dock that gives you extra ports, a neat way to stand your MacBook, and even storage expansion built in, this is definitely worth it.

Works great for me. I have an M1 MacBook Pro with an extra wide monitor plugged in. Does what I need it to do and the extra ports are enough for my work. I have 2 at home that I purchased last year and just bought one for my new office. All 3 work great.

The product overall feels solid and the construction is good— aside from the base, which is not padded on the edge that the product makes contact with the surface it rests on. It will scratch the surface it rests on and will slide around if you’re plugging in and unplugging cables. Could you put it on a padded surface? Yes. But that wasn’t the look I was going for. I’d rather just go with a different product.

Great little hub for my Mac. 6 months in and still working perfectly. Added the extra internal storage and love it!

inputs do not function consistently

looks great, small footprint, lots of ports BUT - no video over USB3.1 - MBP was getting hot - over 150 degrees with minimal load; the entire dock was warm

inconvenient for my setup. I have an ultrawide monitor that I dock my laptop behind when I'm working. I thought the 2 USBC ports on the dock would allow me to plug in my monitor and speakers, but it is not the case. I still have to plug the usbc from my monitor into the laptop, and then the dock to the laptop. I will get a laptop stand and plug both the speakers and monitor into my laptop for a fraction of the price.

Uno de los mejores docs de conexión que he tenido, muy buena construcción de aluminio, muchas entradas y conexiones, poner un ssd m2 es un gran plus y en parte por eso elegí este, 100% recomendable.

Je cherchais un dock élégant et pratique pour ma Lenovo Legion Go, et tout ce que je trouvais ne me convenait pas. Ce dock, bien qu'assez onéreux, rempli parfaitement les fonctions que je souhaitais. Esthétique, riche en connectiques, solide, pratique. En un mot : parfait !

Here’s my short review after using the Pulwtop hub for a few days. The vertical stand works great for enabling some airflow for your laptop while also giving it a couple of new ports, HDMI and ethernet. I am using a Macbook Air M3 (2024). I have not tried the HDMI-port. The bottom of the stand has a cutout for airflow so that you can put a Macbook with the Apple logo the right side up. The stand does not support DP Alt Mode so it’s not possible to use one of the USB-C ports for a display. The host port supports 10 Gbit so even though the two USB-A ports support 5 Gbit each and the two USB-C ports support 10 Gbit each, they all of course share the same 10 Gbit connection to the computer. I would not recommend to install an nvme drive because with one installed, the hub gets very hot. The drive bay gets very hot even when the drive is not in use, so the SSD will be constantly very hot. A thermal pad is included, but it does not make contact with anything so it is pointless. If you really need to use an SSD, please make sure that you also purchase a heatsink for your SSD. This hub will NOT cool your SSD! It seems to be plenty of room in the drive bay for a large heatsink. Without an SSD, the back of the hub (where all the ports are) gets warm but not hot. It’s extremely easy to place and remove the laptop from the stand since when you put it in the stand, the stand will automatically ”clamp on” to your laptop to hold it in place. As soon as you lift the laptop, the stand will loosen its grip and you can pull the laptop straight up instantly. The bottom of the stand is some kind of rubber or silicone material, so it will not scratch your laptop. The top of the stand has pads on it, so when it ”clamps on” it won’t scratch your laptop. The very bottom of the stand (the ”feet”) is aluminium but the bottom is rounded, so it won’t scratch the surface it is on as easily. However, since there are no rubber feet or similar, you might want to be careful if you have a desk with an easy-to-scratch surface. The color is Space Grey.

Sam produkt dobrze wykonany, niestety gniazdo pamięci i sposób mocowanie pamięci beznadziejne. Sama pamięć nie chciała się sformatować, po sformatowaniu w inny urządzeniu raz jest widoczna raz nie.

Questo è il miglior hub che abbia provato per usare il mio Macbook Pro M1. Prima di acquistare questo, ho provato delle docking station anche più costose, ma con continui problemi di connettività e di supporto per l’NVMe. Supporta tutte le lunghezze più diffuse di NVMe, e anche di tagli importanti; ho provato a connettere il mio Kingston KC3000 2TB, ed è stato subito riconosciuto, anche se presenta i chip di memoria da entrambi i lati, cosa che per altri HUB rappresenta un problema. Con questo PulWTop posso collegare tutto ciò di cui ho bisogno, grazie a 2 porte USB 3.0, 2 porte USB-C, una porta per la corrente in input e in output, lettore di schede SD e Micro SD, porta ethernet da 1 Gbit e HDMI 4K 60Hz HDR, oltre all’NVMe. Una feature che non ho letto all’interno della descrizione è proprio il supporto all’HDR, cosa estremamente apprezzata. Tutto funziona istantaneamente, senza bisogno di driver o app dedicate, per fortuna. Avevo paura di dover tirar fuori il pc ogni volta lo volessi usare, ma essendo il supporto in gomma, si può allargare leggermente, consentendo di aprire il pc quanto basta per farlo accendere senza rimuoverlo. L’unica pecca è che non presenta porte sul davanti, per il resto assolutamente raccomandato.
