These certainly fit the bill for non-skid, however the strips are narrow and must be 'arranged' to give any cohesive pattern..and for water to be directed to the drain. Also, the adhesive is super sticky. You have one shot to get it down right! (I ruined 4 strips). Fortunately, ripping off the mistakes is like ripping off a bandaid. Pull it fast, RIP, off it comes. Pull it slow, sticky residue... The texture is 'pebbly'. Took a few minutes to get used to, not like the old time 'flowers or fish' that had a very low profile like sandpaper. A good point...they are nearly invisible, so clean your tub or shower well before applying otherwise, dirt and stains will be sealed under a clear product!. A plastic scraper is included with no explanation. I guess to give you an adge to grip to rip off the strips if so desired.

I read all the mixed reviews and decided to give these a try anyway. I already knew i was going to completely dry the shower out before I applied them and I did it late at night so it would be hours before they would get wet again. It's been two months now and they are still holding up as well as they did on the first day. I have zero complaints about them. Bonus, they feel like sandpaper so it stops my 6 year old from stopping up the shower drain and trying to turn it into a bathtub. Update to add it's been a little bit longer and ick started growing under these bad boys. Don't get me wrong- they still hold tight, but the ick was grossing me out a bit. Nothing a good spray down of Clorox bathroom cleaner couldn't take care of, but that bleach smell lingers, ya know. The shower was never perfectly smooth to begin with so I pretty much expected something like this to happen, but the bleach, MAN THE BLEACH! Anyway, just thought I'd give you guys an update.

We needed more non-slip help on the shower floor and on the side of the tub. I sit on the side of the tub to shave, etc. which can get very slippery so I decided to get these. They are just okay. I like the fact that they are slim, and can be put to fill in any gaps I have from the appliques already there. A couple of them didn't stay put although I followed the directions, placed them all in the same way, and not all of them became dislodged. You get a good supply of them so losing a few is not a big deal. If you have sensitive feet be aware that they are not smooth like the decorative appliques you may have and you may find them a little rough to stand on. Definitely too rough to sit on.
