Digipower ACP-WTA World Travel Adapter with Built-in USB Charger - White

I had great success with this adapter. I was able to continuously power up my GPS, iPhone, iTouch and Camera with it. It worked well and I liked the red LEDs- they told me I had things connected properly and the juice was flowing. One thing is- remember this does not convert 240V to 120V for US appliances- check your battery charger etc... to be sure they can handle 240V. I was lucky my camera's battery charger took 240V. It's also light and very compact and takes up no space in your luggage.

I bought three of these units because they had everything I needed, a USB charger and an electric outlet.The first one I forgot at the hotel, ok, my fault.The second one fried in London (only the USB port), while charging my iphone overnightThe third one fried in Tanzania (the entire unit was black on the inside), while charging.. yes, my iphone overnightI did get replacements for the two fried units from the manufacturer, but there are a few things that concerned me.1) The device has a fuse and a spare, why did it not protect the unit2) Is this a batch problem, or a design flow??3) Because it was each time with the iphone, is it just specific to the iphone, duration????Two stars, one because of the issues I had with this unit, and one star for the prompt delivery of two alternative units. Hopefully they will last longerOutside of that, the light that indicates what is charging works great and gives you an indication you are getting power.

This item worked well. and as expected. It is not the smallest adaptor and it fit loosely into the european socket so you had to be careful with the cord so it would not fall out of the wall. But for the price all of my electronics survived and I had not problems with it. I would buy it again.

I took this adaptor to Ireland. Used it every night to charge my iPod and my camera. I even used it prior to leaving because I only had a USB charger for the iPod to plug into my computer. The iPod charges faster with this adaptor. So, I'll continue using it instead of putting it away waiting for me to go on another trip abroad. I am VERY satisfied.

The first time I used the USB charger it burnt out - there is a melted, brown spot on the side and the USB wont charge. I was charging an iPad. The normal plug adapter works, and the fuse didn't blow.Seemed quite good quality, but turned out to be $20 bucks down the drain as I got back from my trip too late to return it.Buyer beware.I bought one of the cheapo (non-USB) adapters and although it isn't perfect it didn't melt.
