Measure well
I must’ve ordered a size 2 large because this is very very long. I recently had a bilateral mastectomy and needed something to bind my chest during the recovery process. Although this was much longer than I expected, I was able to fold part of it in still be able to adjust it myself. This is so much more comfortable than a 6 inch ace bandage! The ace will roll up almost immediately and become a tourniquet. And I am able to put it on and take it off by myself. This is a huge plus because during recovery, one’s comfort level shifts throughout the day. I didn’t want to spend a lot on a compression garment but right now the chest compression is necessary and I’m so thankful to have finally found something that I could use independently. I have returned no less than seven items that were intended for chest compression, but weren’t suitable for a variety of reasons. Several are currently in my car waiting to drop off at UPS. My husband and sons have tried different ways of wrapping of the Ace bandage, but still no comfort long-term throughout the day. This binder is absolutely perfect. The velcro is very strong and there is some “pulling” of the fabric but who cares. I have only worn this over very thin tank tops because it seems like it may be scratchy against the surgical wounds. But even wearing it in Florida over clothing I have not found it too hot. I may cut off the excess length at some point, but right now it adds an extra layer of compression and protection. If you are having a bilateral mastectomy, this is the only product I would recommend. I am currently 4 weeks post op and have worn this for about a week. I am headed to UPS today to return the other items I couldn’t tolerate for more than an hour at most. We have been struggling along with the ACE s that were recommended by the surgeon. I am printing off the product description for this item and taking it to her office when I follow up this afternoon. It is the only product she should be recommending, in my opinion. Best wishes

Great for post mastectomy/FTM top surgery
I purchased this chest binder in preparation for my bilateral mastectomy. I knew I would be wrapped in an Ace bandage but figured this would be an easy replacement whenever the Ace bandage needed to be washed. It’s stretchy. I ordered a size small even though I am ordinarily a size large in women’s tshirts. I’m glad I did! There is quite a bit of length left when I use it. I really like how this is easy to put on and take off. The ace bandage takes several minutes to get wrapped around me while this takes less than a minute. It’s quite supportive. The material does get fuzzy in the areas the Velcro attaches after several uses. I was expecting that from another review I read. But it doesn’t affect the stickiness of the Velcro. It just doesn’t look as neat. I wear this over a soft tank top, but under the mastectomy bra I was sent home with (the pink one). The tank top protects my sensitive skin. Very easy to wash and dry. All in all, I give this a 10/10. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that’s going through a mastectomy or FTM top surgery.

Ridiculous velcro, Bad compression, No support, Slips down constantly
Y'all, this compression wrap is NOT GOOD, especially if you plan to wear it POST-SURGERY. I know it’s cheap and looks decent, but do yourself a favor and buy something else. I have three major complaints and two minor complaints: 1. The worst feature is that the VELCRO IS WAY TOO STRONG. That might sound like a silly complaint, but no -- it's incredibly difficult to undo, especially if you have limited strength/mobility. I ignored another reviewer who said the same, and now I regret it. It’s beyond inconvenient, it can be a nightmare unless you have someone else to help remove it, especially if you’re recovering post-surgery. 2. It constantly SLIPS DOWN AS YOU WALK, requiring constant readjustment, because it lacks shoulder straps. Maybe not so much of an issue if you have a larger chest, but absolutely an issue if you don’t. 3. Despite it seeming infinitely adjustable, the FIT/COMPRESSION IS ACTUALLY PRETTY BAD. Since it lacks a firm, non-stretchy front panel, it doesn’t feel like it provides actual support at all, almost nothing, even if it does compress a bit. But it doesn’t hold anything in place, so you’ll feel a lot of vertical bounce (which can obviously be painful if you’re healing). And this is made worse by the fact it’ll keep slipping down. 4. Because the velcro is so strong and sticks to the wrap itself instead of another velcro panel, the velcro immediately begins tearing up the fabric the first time you undo it (which, again, will be quite difficult). And if it’s damaged like this (which it will be) you might not be able to return it. 5. Lastly, the top and bottom edges of the velcro are very scratchy, so you can't wear it without a shirt underneath. But that's nothing compared to the first three issues I listed. 0/5 Even if this chest wrap were free, I still wouldn't recommend it.

Only complaint is the velcro
Adequately compressed my chest. It rides down, yes, but not a disastrous amount, just normal from movement over the day. I have sensory issues but I still didn't find it too uncomfortable against my skin personally. The velcro, as other reviews have mentioned, is absolutely too strong due to the material being very soft, so every time you pull the velcro off to take off the wrap, you have to use a ridiculous amount of force—and I needed another person to help me for a few weeks into my recovery, because the angle combined with your motion restrictions can suck. This specific product was recommended by my surgical team and I feel like it is doing an excellent job with compression and (for me) being comfortable, but the velcro is way too difficult to open for you to do it yourself.

Effective compression wrap. Velcro closure a bit too robust and tears up the fabric.
Purchased following breast reduction surgery. The large 60" size wrapped 1 1/2 times around my chest (48" needed) and required assistance to get compression level right and secured (ending in the back) -- could never have managed it myself. The fabric length, stiffness and stretchiness was good, although for me, one side had double thickness, the other just one (started wrap in the middle chest area). The Velcro closure adheres very well, almost too well and roughs up the fabric. I wore a tank undershirt underneath for comfort. With the right level of compression, it stayed in place fairly well and didn't ride up nor slip down. All in all, it provided a suitable compression option for me opposed to a surgical vest/bra which has been torture for me due to the bottom elastic riding up into the incision area.

Best binder I ever bought!
I need more of these! They're perfect. Adjustable. Snug and comfortable.

This is way too narrow/short for my chest. And the bumpy texture is unpleasant.
And, as others have mentioned, the material is easily fuzzed up by the hook part of the fastener tape, as it just attaches onto the fabric itself, rather than a loop part. I think this is made as a back brace rather than as a compression bandage for the chest, and even the tag literally says it's a brace. I ordered a large, but even that's way too small for my chest, and it slides down easily, and doesn't cover my whole chest area. I'm a larger woman (and there's inflammation, which is why I need to compress the area), and so this just isn't a good size at all. It's plenty long, but not at all wide/tall enough to be effective for full chest compression. Also, the product comes with an insert that sort of begs us not to leave negative or neutral reviews, which is unprofessional at best, and rude at worst, acting like customers' opinions are a problem rather than important feedback. If you don't want negative or neutral reviews, don't sell a substandard product. Or at least be honest about what your product is in your advertising, so people aren't disappointed. ...
