Firstly, I disliked how the FedEx delivery person left this long and heavy box at the bottom of the stairs without the courtesy of ringing the doorbell. It was quite a challenge to bring it in.But - once I unpacked the pieces - there are A LOT - and sorted them, I read the instructions and got to work. Unfortunately, some of the pieces were not marked so I had to be super careful when sorting them.My working space was limited, and connecting some of the sections together was frustrating at times because I was doing this alone. It took me a total of just over 3 hours to put together, but I was very happy with the results. It really is lovely bed and after sleeping on it last night I found it very sturdy and didn't squeak or creak.Again, have someone help you and it should take less time; and be sure to read all of the instructions first, because as I've said, there are A LOT of pieces to this.

This is a strong, sturdy bed once you get it assembled. Love it.
