KATSU Tools Corded Angle Grinder 115mm 720W Slim Body, Budget Range

What a great little tool!. The price belies it's quality. It has a die cast metal gearbox and standard M10 threaded holes for the handle or jig mounting. I was expecting a lot of noise from a so called "budget" tool, but it was not bad at all. It cut through both 6mm and 8mm diameter hardened steel bar with ease. The guard, often cheaply made, had attention applied to as a safety item should have. It has fairly heavy gauge steel and has a small return on it's open edge which adds a lot of rigidity. Lastly a small feature that wouldn't affect most people unless you ant to mount it in a cutting stand. In that scenario it is perfect as the nose distance (from handle mount holes to end of gearbox) is small and so will mount easily in a stand. many grinders don't. Overall, a great buy for an occasional DIY'er.

Excellent value for money

Works fine for small jobs but definitely not industrial.I cut 2 x 15mm nuts off, (admittedly I was cutting each one several times due to poor access) then had to wait for the grinder to cool down or it MIGHT have burnt out, no saying it definitely would but it was very hot, too hot to touch.Had a brew then cut the other two.Just a note, there are no discs included.

Bought this on spec and it arrived next day and I can safely say I am very pleased with it. Great build quality. The unit weight is superb The handle grip is perfect Not chunky Easy to hold onto. Alloy machine head appears exceptionally cast and rugged. Time will tell with the gearbox and motor. On off switch very good and positive Would recommend And at this price point it’s a fantastic product

KATSU Tools Corded Angle Grinder 115mm 720W Slim Body for Masonry Concrete Tile Metal Steel Grinding Polishing (Budget) 101676:This is a good value budget grinder, and a serviceable tool, with enough power for most jobs. Initial impressions are good. All the parts seem nicely made, as seen from the exterior. It is a little on te rattly side - probably due to play in the gears, but that's fairly common in grinders. It fits in the hand much more comfortably than my fatter 800W grinder did, and is lighter too, making it easier to wield. I don't think I will miss that extra 80W of power. Fitting the disc guard was a bit fiddly, as there is no quick-release clip; just a bolt to tighten with a screwdriver, but that's no problem, as a nut and bolt is lighter than a quick-release clip and doesn't get in the way as much. Unlike some, the switch is not excessively stiff, but still stiff enough to be safe from accidental switching. For £22.99, this is good value (assuming that it lasts).

It say most 4.5 inch discs will fit it. But normal discs are 5 inches. No one sells the 4.5.

I ordered these for my business in January, they don’t get significant use as I haven’t had much need to since purchasing them but they have both burnt out already. I am really disappointed as I now need to go and buy another.
