Don't let the low reviews scare you
These are great sheets at a value. However, these will only be great sheets for you if you understand the material and how to launder them. If you have never owned Egyptian cotton sheets, do not let the 1 star reviews scare you off. They have never owned them either, and have never been told how to properly care for them.Egyptian cotton sheets start out rough. Google it - this is the norm. They soften with each wash, but there is a specific way to launder them. First and foremost (as with anything), wash them according to the tag. To prevent shrinkage, maintain color, and extend their durability, wash cold on a gentle cycle, with gentle detergents. You don't even need to use the normal amount of detergent, either. Follow the instructions of your washing machine on your top or side loader (i.e fill the top loader with water first). And don't use fabric softener. If you don't want to see your sheets ripping up or have their seams busting or unraveling, wash your sheets separately from other garments so there is plenty of room. And don't wrap your sheets around the agitator. Overstuffing your machine or circling sheets around the agitator tends to beat them up and cause the issues of sheets (and other clothing) falling apart.Don't leave them sitting in the washing machine when done. This increases wrinkles. And of course there will be some wrinkling - it's cotton. Wrinkle-free sheets have formaldehyde added to them, so best of luck if that's what you want. Dry on the lowest heat setting. Heat shrinks cotton, and adds wrinkles. It also reduces the life of the sheets. If you want to try to hasten the softness of the sheets, you can use dryer balls or clean tennis balls in the dryer. And don't over-dry them. They actually are best taken out when barely damp.If you know what you're getting and know how to take care of them, you will really like these sheets. I think the main problems with the low reviews are that people aren't really taught how to launder their clothes anymore, and that is not the fault of the manufacturer. When you invest money in clothing, bedding, etc., it's always a good idea to put some effort into taking care of them properly.Edit: 4 years later and with a regular rotation between 3 sheet sets, these are holding up well and are in great shape!Added a pic to show depth. This will absolutely fit 15".

They feel wonderful !!!
There are lots of cheap sheets on Amazon claiming high thread counts with the "feel of cotton", when they are in fact cheap polyester. Microfiber means synthetic polyester not natural real cotton. These are 100% cotton and "breathe next to your skin" if you are a lady, or simply "soak up sweat" if you're a guy.I am a side sleeper and scratchy feeling pillow cases are a nuisance when falling asleep. These pillowcases and sheets are a dream before you even fall asleep! My only small complaint is the color. I ordered their "Walnut" colored, which looked brown in the picture, but the sheets are more of a dark taupe that doesn't look like brown to me. I would normally think of "Walnut" colored as a dark brown, but these are light brown with a "silver like" sheen. They look nice and more importantly to me, feel great.Other reviewers who said these sheets where scratchy, must have some sort of nerve disorder that makes them hypersensitive. Another possibility is that they have really hard water, so that when they washed the sheets, they didn't get risesed well of soap residue. I have hard water so I always add some baking soda to my first rinse, and I rinse my laundry twice to get rid of soap residue. On my second night sleeping on these sheets, I had been working in my yard without a shirt and was a bit sunburned on my back, neck, and shoulders. Even with my skin being over sensitive from the sun, these sheets still feel great.

Practically disposable. Don't bother.
TLDR: Avoid this product. They feel nice when you first use them, but they wear quickly (and badly). Ordered two sets: One set ripped in the corners of the fitted sheet on first use, the second set is pilling, showing tears at hems on the top sheet, and moments from ripping in two corners on the fitted sheet after four months of use.First impression was mixed. I purchased two sets of sheets to make laundering easier, and I washed both sets according to the manufacturer's instructions prior to first use. The fabric felt soft and luxurious, if a little thin, but the fitted sheets were conveniently labeled with "Top/Bottom" and "Side" tags to make putting the sheets on a little less tedious. Pillow cases were slightly small --queen pillows looked a little bit like stuffed sausages in the queen-sized pillow cases and left some pillow visible, but not a deal breaker for the price. When I changed the sheets to the second set the next week, though, the poor quality really started to show. The top sheet had uneven stitching at the top, and the threads were already starting to pull a little, and the fitted sheet ripped almost immediately in the corner when I tried to put it on. Not an extra deep mattress, and didn't use a ton of force. It was clear that the sewing machine had pulled and cut the fabric right as that corner was sown. Manufacturing errors happen, so I submitted a return on that set, ordered a replacement, and switched back to the first set.Replacement set never arrived. After three weeks, Amazon kindly refunded my money for the second (and subsequent replacement) set without issue, and I soldiered on with one set of sheets. After four months of use and laundering, the manufacturing defects of that second set are now fully visible on the first, "good" set, too. Fabric tearing on seams, stitch holes that are stretching and ready to split, fabric fraying in corners, and a sateen finish that is now fuzzy straight out of the dryer, and that pills after a couple of nights use. After this, I'm going back to the Costco sheets. They may not have the smooth, satiny finish that this product promises, but they are cheaper, much higher quality (fabric and manufacturing, and last MUCH longer than the Chateau-brand sheets. I'd say you get what you pay for, but honestly, I think I overpaid for that
