onlyfire Igniter Kit for Weber Spirit Genesis, Platinum, Silver and Gold Gas Grills

I was finally replacing the burners on my Weber Spirit gas grill and decided it was time to replace the ignitor also since although it still worked, the housing was a rusted mess. I actually just replaced the ignitor portion and used my old push button and everything works great. Installation is pretty straightforward, you just unbend a tab on the old one, and bend a tab on the new one. I used a flattened out Amazon box to lay the grill grates and flavor bars on while installing.

This is the third time I replaced the igniter in my 19 years old Weber Silver A grill. I decided to go with this off-brand igniter as they are very simple devices. It works fine. I didn't use the new button part since the grill has a lever switch. Delivery was acceptable and the price was good.

It worked! That’s all I wanted out of it. Easy to install. That’s all I’ve got.

I had difficulty with a prior igniter that did not fit the Weber Genesis Silver grills manufactured between 2000 and 2005, but this one was easy to fit and works well. I found that I needed to remove the white wire (needed plyers) inorder to fit the tab into the small hole. The spark box fit easily into the larger hole after threading the black wire through. The tab with no wire keeps the spark box in place. I did not have to replace the push button piezio electric device, so only had to connect the black wire to the bottom of the existing push button device and the white one to the side.

Igniter works flawlessly. Easy to install. I used a rat tail metal file to slightly enlarge the hole where the ignitor body goes into the existing hole in the cast aluminum body. The square ignitor body fits snuggly in the round hole. Do not over enlarge the round hole (if needed).

This igniter set is perfect for 2002 Weber Genesis Silver C series grill. I did have to drill the small hole in the grill to make it a little larger as the new wire was a little thicker. Other than that, worked fine. YouTube video helps as the instructions were somewhat vague. 86 female!!

Fits perfect for my 1994 Weber 2000. I replaced the ignition chamber (electrode) and the wires (included) to my existing ignitor. Did not need to change my ignitor. Quick install, all of the install time is removing the grates and bars. No tools required. Bracket can be bent by hand. Scrapped clean all of my bars. Replaced these last year. I use a cheap painters multi tool to scrape. The curved part is perfect when cleaning the top grille. These replacement parts look to be well made and I recommend.
