Having had two sets of official Focal Bathys pads fall apart on me (on one the leather began disintegrating and the other the leather began detaching from the plastic to expose the foam underneath) I decided to give these a go as I didn't want to fork out the astronomic price on another official set. I had concerns that the ANC wouldn't be as good because across the Internet people constantly complain about that for any non-Focal brand pads. However, I can say that I have not heard any noticable difference. I'm sure that audiophiles will argue with me over that, but at the price I paid for these I am very happy indeed.

I've had my Focal Bathys for a few years now, and I absolutely love them. However, the original ear pads were starting to show their age. They were getting a bit worn out and uncomfortable. I decided to try these AHG Accessory House Global replacement ear pads, and I'm so glad I did. They're a perfect fit for my Bathys, and they're incredibly comfortable. Bathys are very expensive headphones, and it’s obviously worth getting the pads replaced as they wear out. But as these pads are made by a third party and not Bathys themselves, there’s no justification for them being as expensive as this, as they are just basic PU and foam pads, nowt special, and certainly not a great replacement for the original sheepskin pads. Something of a rip off then.
