Works well good customer support.
Highly recommend. I bought this cable two years ago and it stopped working. I emailed the company and they quickly sent me a replacement. Not only was this the few long affordable optical cables that worked with 4k but the company has good customer service as well.

Works great, excellent customer service
Can someone actually say Ruipro's customer service is actually 'too' good?! Read on... I did a lot of research, needing a 50 ft cable for my new home theater after moving into a new house with an existing theater. My previous theater used a 30 ft cable so the length was not a huge issue, but at 50 ft, I knew I'd be safer going with Fiber Optic. Ruipro kept popping up as one of the highest rated. Since I had to fish the cable through a conduit in the ceiling, I also figured a cable rated specifically for that purpose was also in order. Added to all that, I also wanted a cable that was certified, harder to find with Fiber Optic of this length. Ruipro checked all the boxes. So, I ordered it. It is indeed certified, confirmed through the app. The cable arrived in a sturdy box and was well packed within it. Careful instructions made sure to let us know this cable is not bidirectional. While I knew this, it seems some people do not and connect it the wrong way then have issues and blame the cable. One end is for Source (BD player, Firestick, etc.), another for Display such as TV or Projector). Good for Ruipro to spell this out clearly. I tested the cable and all was fine. I fished the cable through the ceiling and set it all up. It worked great. Good picture quality and refresh rate. Works well with my Nakamichi sound bar and Epson LS11000 projector. Blu-rays 1080 and 4K, great! I watched several movies with no issues. Now...a couple of weeks later we decided to stream a movie rather than watch one on Blu-ray. Halfway through the movie, the video blacked out for about 10 seconds while the sound was still going. It did this a few times. My heart sank. My previous home theater had a BenQ projector (my second one) which gave us enough of a hassle for me to change to Epson this time, so now having new issues and knowing it was not the projector I was like, "WHAT NOW?!" A litlle research pointed to the HDMI, which honestly is like a therapist blaming the parents but alas, I reached out to Ruipro not expecting much. I also placed an Amazon replacement order for the cable because unless I had a second cable to test against, I would not be able to tell if indeed it was the cable that was the problem. When something goes awry in a home theater, the process of elimination begins and usually starts with the HDMI cable. Lo and behold, while Amazon was already sending me a replacement, Ruipro contacted me and sent me one too! I tried to tell them not to, but could not stop it because Ruipro was THAT fast! Ruipro asked me to send the 'defective' one back for testing, which I would do. So, I got Amazon's replacement cable and tested it out. The streaming video still blacked out once in a while. Ugh. Well, at least now I knew it was not the cable. Then the Ruipro cable arrived. Now I had THREE cables sitting here. Guess what ended up being the issue? The Amazon Firestick! More research led me to test the Firestick (reboot, change HDMI ports, etc.) and then buy a new one. The new one worked with no issues and now streaming is perfectly fine. Apparently, this loss of video while audio still runs is a known Firestick issue, even though until now I never experienced it (I own two...well, three now). Good to know it is not always the parents...er...cable's fault. Thankfully, it was not the sound bar or projector, which would have been a nightmare, but it would have also made no sense since Blu-rays worked just fine. Why would streaming be the issue? Duh...it was the Firestick.... Back to Ruipro. I wrote back to Thomas at their customer service to explain it all and asked them how to return the one they sent me, which was unopened, so they could sell it. While I need to send back the Amazon replacement so as not to get charged for it, Ruipro told me to keep theirs! Wow. Bottom line: it is not always the HDMI cable. Also, and more importantly, Ruipro's customer service is fantastic. They go above and beyond, stand behind their product and care about the customer...these days, a miracle. So, they now have a lifetime customer in me, because I know should I ever have an HDMI cable issue, they'll stand behind it. Of course, don't expect you'll get a free cable from them just by yelling 'defective,' as my issue was a complicated one, and they WILL want your defective one to test it out (which ultimately helps us all), but the fact that they went above and beyond for me, that spoke volumes! And this tale ended well.

Ruipro Customer Service For The Win
UPDATED REVIEW – Original review below. After the initial poor review, Ruipro reached out to me directly. They apologized for the trouble, offered a free replacement of their flagship model (B0DPWRQVHZ), and issued a refund. Their customer service reps were pleasant to talk to and quick to respond. Shipping arrived in a couple of days, and I am now using the new HDMI cable – everything is working as it should. I don't know if I won the customer service lottery – this level of service is almost unheard of these days. However, it was a smart move. Ruipro went from a brand I'd never buy again to a top choice, and I buy more than most. I did not have a good experience with this specific HDMI cable, but Ruipro doing everything they could to make it right really means something. I hope your experience is just as good as mine. Bought 50 length for home theater setup with AVR in the rear of the room. The cable worked for about 6 months, then started dropping signal. The cycling happens so often now that the theater is unusable. I paid a lot of money for this HDMI cable – very disappointed.

overheats, signal degradation over time, and causes flickers.
it was fine for about first 6 months until i started to get problems with flickering. it was rare and infrequent so i ignored it. then at times it gets into a fit of constant signal loss for the tv and causes the screen to flicker on and off constantly. imagine this happening in the middle of a game or a movie... it's really jarring. lived with this for 2 years and found out today the cables are going bad because one of them just refused to connect anymore. i thought my PS5 was broken until i used another cable. in case you think this is just a one-off defect, it's not. i bought three of these cables at $90 per cable. do not buy this.

Best cable for running display signal over a decent distance in your home
I've used 2 of these cables for 15 months now connected to my streaming and gaming pc and these cables work perfectly. I looked into multiple avenues to move my gaming and streaming pc into my office closet, and they all cost a lot more. My gaming PC is running a Red Devil 9070XT, 32gb ram with a 9800x3d and without fail the cable is pushing a 4k 120hz signal to my 42in LG C4 TV that I use as my primary gaming display. Pairing this cable with a 50ft USB 3.0 fiber with Anker powered USB docks and I can run all my peripherals (mouse, keyboard, speakers, xlr mic, hosas, ext) as though my pc is next to me but its 25ft away across the room locked in a closet.

It worked!
Luckily when building the house in 2007 I ran 2" CONDUIT to the tv locations instead of any wires at all. People always talk about running the best wire, or a bunch of different types, or extras if one goes bad, to 'futureproof' their install. In technology and wiring there is no such thing as futureproofing, it's a term thrown around by SALESMEN... CONDUIT is your only chance at installing something that may be as close to futureproof as you can get. Well since then we have gone through variations of HDMI from 1.2 now to 2.1, features like ARC, ATMOS, 4K, and types like Active, Powered, Optical etc. And I have re-ran cables multiple times over the years and now once more. Luckily it is an easy pull with the pull string I leave pre-ran in the conduits each time so that I don't even need a fish tape any more. Well after upgrading the theater room to a 2.1 Receiver, Sony 4K UHD, RTX 4090, and PS5, the display would not do 4k/120hz, took forever to sync and lock onto inputs when set at 4k/30hz, and would sparkle, dropout, fail to handshake, etc... Did a bunch of reading and decided to try an optical cable vs powered or active, and after enough positive reviews on the forums about RUIPRO I tried this cable. As soon as I ran the cable receiver and display Handshaked immediately and then I enabled 4k/120hz and everything just worked! It has been a few weeks and everything is working perfectly except the only small glitch I have seen is a few times the FireStick4k output will turn a solid color usually yellow or green, pressing home a bunch of times or resetting the power to it fixes it, but since this is the only device I have had an issue with and it is few years old I feel it could be either the colorspace setting I have selected in the Firestick menu, it's starting to go bad, maybe overheating as it is plugged directly into the back of the receiver, or just a glitchy compatibility thing between the Firestick and the Receiver. I have not looked too deep into it, I doubt it is the cable since I have seen zero glitches on any other source or resolution since swapping to this cable. My only concern is that the optical conversion circuitry that is built into the heads of these type cables will burnout/die eventually and not last. Since a passive cable is basically good forever unless it gets physically damaged or the wires/connections develop corrosion, these cables now reliant on internal circuitry just by design cannot last forever. But hopefully it will last until another forced upgrade due to technology changes and not failure... We will see. When you are building a home, run CONDUIT not cables people!

Undecided due to defective cable - will update when resolved by RUIPRO
Update as Promised!! The replacement cable has worked perfectly for years on both my RTX 4090/5090 GPU's - the issues I had with the first cable were clearly just a flawed unit, this has been literally perfect and provides the bandwidth and stability to ensure the cable is not limiting the raw power from my current RTX 5090 GPU - when you spend $3500 on a GPU, why spend $10 on a crappy cable? Just buy something like this! Like many, I use an LG OLED (C2 42") as my PC monitor, using it's full 120Hz refresh rate with HDR and Gsync (Nvidia) active. I've been through several so called 'certified' cables from other sellers, only to be disappointed with spotty connections/screen artifacts - it's very true that the vast majority of the HDMI 2.1 cables being sold will not work for those who seek to use a PC GPU to push a screen image that uses the full feature set offered by the HDMI 2.1 format. I'm sure those playing games at 60hz do not have these problems as they are not using the full bandwidth of the HDMI 2.1 format, and I suspect that's why many much cheaper cables get the great reviews they do. Initially the RUIPRO 8K (10ft - this was the really surprising part as it's usually at much longer cable lengths such issues arise) had no signal, so I used the provided 'USB 5V power adapter' that acts as a bridge between the RUIPRO and the GPU, providing additional power from one of your PC's USB ports. This worked, but then I read another Amazon customer review where it would seem that RUIPRO customer service seemed to indicate that the use of this optional USB 5V adapter was "prohibited" for use with GPU's. The customer quite rightly assumed this meant the adapter may have the potential to cause damage to a PC GPU and asked RUIPRO for full clarification, which was never received. Update: RUIPRO stated that the 5V power adapter will NOT harm my GPU (RTX 4090), mentioning that there's also no need for it as modern GPU's are highly powered (true), and that in their opinion the problem is a faulty cable. I am more inclined to align to this viewpoint now that the cable has begun to deteriorate even further, losing the signal completely, and refusing to show anything, regardless of whether the 5V adapter was used or not. Perhaps this cable was a 'dud' all along and was just going through it's 'death throws'. The reason they say why they go to the trouble of sending replacement cables directly from their factory in China is that they have the cable certified as fully operational by one of their engineers, who takes the time to test it with similar hardware. This seems like a very thorough process, however I am curious as to whether the same thing could likely have been achieved by just sending the defective one back to Amazon and requesting a replacement, since this specific cable option (Gen 3/C) is advertised as being compatible with all recent RTX GPU's. I am very curious to see if the cable currently in transit from China is any different from the defective one in terms of 'Gen' or other changes/updates to their cables, and hope it resolves what has been a trying period. Coming from using only dedicated PC monitors (not TV's) that prefer DisplayPort cables, using HDMI 2.1 has been a rough introduction, but I do feel that I have just been unlucky and that things will be fine when I receive the replacement cable. I am updating my review (plus one star) to reflect RUIPRO's willingness to work with their customers and answer questions. I have read from other customers that they have a track record of solid customer service and will warranty the cable for life if it's a defective cable, and this is a big deal with the market flooded with mostly 'very average' generic cables promising to do a lot of things they end up failing to do. The HDMI 2.1 standard still seems like it's in it's infancy with regard to reliability over the usual 3-6ft distances, something that will hopefully improve over time, because the LG C2 OLED 'Evo' 42" TV is the best computer 'monitor' I have owned, and if it weren't for these issues, I could never imagine going back to my 3440x1440p ultrawide for daily use and gaming purposes. There's just no going back after using 4K OLED, and on the dedicated PC side, prices are still VERY high in comparison. Fingers crossed this new cable resolves, if it does I will update my review again to reflect a 5 star rating.

Did not work for my setup.
Edit: I am a moron. As I was packing this up to return it I saw a card in the box (who needs instructions for a cable). The card noted the cable was directional. I unraveled it, plugged it in the right way and it worked perfectly. It turns out instructions can be handy. Cable arrived in perfect condition, but it simply did not work - no signal. I have an older HDMI cable and sometimes it doesn't connect and I have to reboot everything. So, I figure a higher quality cable will fix it - wrong, it simply doesn't work. I tried it with other TV combos as well nada. Just in case you have a similar setup - mine is a short throw projector -> sound bar -> accessories (xbox, fire cube)

Handles all the bandwidth consuming formats -- has solved my random video blackouts at 4K60
I made this cable upgrade mainly anticipating needing to drive a new upgrade 4K UHD laser projector cleanly at 60Hz or faster. I need to handle all the high bandwidth formats like Atmos, DTS:X, HDR+ and HLG trouble-free. But as a huge immediate benefit it has apparently solved a persistent problem I have been having with my existing 9-year old Optoma UHD60 projector: frequent random video blackouts. I have been driving this older 4K projector at 4K60Hz and for the most part that's been fine as its within spec. But at least 2-3 times per hour the screen would go black and resync annoyingly. That has completely vanished since installing this 8K fiber cable. Hooray! This cable is very flexible and I had no trouble inserting it into a flexible cable management hose I have been using to eliminate cable clutter. It has quite compact HDMI connector shells that plug in confidently. So this has been well worth the expense and time spent installing. I recommend it.

RTX3080 compatible
Great cable and works flawlessly with Nvidia rtx3080 and LG CX. 4K 120Hz with VRR. It didn't worked stable however with Denon X2700H but it's more likely due to some incompatible HDMI2.1 issues with Denon/Marantz receivers. Expensive cable but the results are great. A no-brainer for me, buy it.
