DREO Smart Electric Wall Heater for Indoor Use, Works with Alexa,Large Room

Purchased 2 of these wall mount heaters for an addition we built onto our house that isn't connected to the main HVAC system. These 2 units quickly and easily heat this space which is approx 500 sq ft. They are thermostatically controlled via an app that is easy to set-up and use. Excellent heat output and they cycle off/on as needed when the temperature of the room starts to drop. They are very quiet and compact, not bulky and don't require a lot of wall space for mounting. There is no exposed infrared heating elements so safety is a key feature as well! I do highly recommend this product if your looking for an additional heating source. I hope this is helpful

I originally purchased this DREO electric smart wall heater to use in my camper, and in moderate cold conditions it performed very well. The unit is compact, easy to install, and includes an economy mode with a built-in thermostat, which made it appealing for winter use. In temperatures in the mid-30s and above, the heater does a good job maintaining comfort in economy mode and keeps electrical usage reasonable. It warms the space quickly, operates quietly, and feels safe in use, as the exterior does not become excessively hot. The app works well, the remote is convenient, and integration with Amazon Alexa is seamless. Where expectations need to be managed is in extreme cold. Once outdoor temperatures dropped into the negative teens and below (typical Alaska winter conditions), this heater could no longer adequately heat the camper on its own. To be fair, the camper is not underpinned, fully weather-sealed, or insulated for deep winter use, which significantly affects performance. Another important consideration is operating cost. In colder weather where the heater must run more aggressively, electricity usage increased noticeably. During a particularly cold month, my utility bill rose by over $150. While this is not unusual for electric heat under heavy load, it’s something buyers should factor in. Ultimately, this heater turned out not to be the ideal primary heat source for an unmodified camper in extreme cold. However, it still performs very well in less demanding conditions. I have since moved it into the house, where it now heats a master bedroom efficiently and reliably. This is a well-designed smart heater with good features and solid performance, but it’s best suited as supplemental heat or for milder climates rather than as the sole heat source in sub-zero environments. I will definitely return this heater to the camper in the future as supplemental heat. With a small wood stove installed, this heater would be useful during shoulder seasons, cool summer nights, or to help maintain temperature overnight as the fire burns down. In those roles, it makes much more sense than relying on electric heat alone in extreme cold.

Love this heater so far. It looks really modern, feels solid, and even on high, it’s super quiet. Just a heads up, the finish is glossier than the pics. Definitely more mirror-like which wasn’t a dealbreaker for me, but worth knowing. The app and scheduling are great, and the heat output feels strong. My nitpicks, the touch panel isn’t backlit, so it’s hard to find in the dark, and the display only shows your target temp, not the actual room temp, unless you check the app. That said, overall, it looks sharp, runs quiet, and feels like a keeper.

First time buying an open-box product on Amazon, and I am satisfied. No signs of wear at all, all parts included. Heater itself is easy to use and interface easy to figure out. Clever installation template with drilling holes and bubble level. Note: the wall anchors they supply are NOT for drywall! Supply your own anchors with flanges that prevent the anchors ending up inside the wall cavity.

So far so good. I know that's not a good start to a good review but I am very impressed with this product right now. Installed in 15 minutes with easy to follow instructions. I installed it in a 8x10 bedroom inside a fifth wheel where I reside. I was very surprised with the flow of hot air that this puts out. It warmed my bedroom about 10° in 10 minutes. Works much better than a floor heater has ever. Considering buying another one for the living room. Also the Alexa app was easy to connect and the remote works well so I don't have to get up to increase the temperature in the morning.

Great unit, exactly what was needed to take the edge off the cold in a small bathroom. It has a sleek look and runs super quiet. Heat output is great. One feature that was a must for me was the ability to select the heat intensity. I run the unit on H2 (medium) and it warms the room super fast. The higher setting is actually too much for most days but I'm happy that I have the option to really crank it up. The placement is in a small bathroom in a log home with radiant boiler heat. I mounted it above the radiator and it tucks in to the area nicely. A bonus is that I placed a towel rack above the heater and that makes it double as a towel warmer. Using the house heat to bump up the temperature in the bathroom worked fine except that other areas on that "zone" would also get warmer and I didn't need (or want) that. This unit allows me to heat just the bathroom. I am very pleased with the unit and would buy again (actually, my wife is now asking for one in her bathroom too!).

An awesome wall mounted heater. The unit is a reasonable size, is cool to the touch aside from the vent, and puts out very nice heat. We actually installed this in our chicken coop for the winter. Other heaters we've used were too loud and the chickens hated them. Heat lamps are a fire hazard. This unit is very quiet and you can turn off the full display so it's not bright in the dark. It has 4 modes: low, medium, high, and "eco" which is the mode with a thermostat setting. This is what we use. The app works really well. The unit connects to WiFi and we can see the current ambient temperature, change settings, turn the unit off and on on our phones. The system supports schedule settings, so you can program it to turn on or off at different times and days of the week. It has an overheating safety feature that shuts it off automatically. Highly recommended.

This is 'Just' Three Stars> This has NO direct Temperature Setting or Simple Time On|Off. Settings should be simple and leave no room for interpretation. This design has customers go to a setting then bust out the calculator the add or subtract from their preset H Temp setting to get the temperature desired. Ridiculous. Customers should be able to see a certain temperature (number) and select it. Done. Note> As the Temp design is completely hosed, the remote control is useless other than turning it On|Off. The Optics, Quality, SetUp and Size are pretty nice however 'again', designers put WAY too much thought into the temperature settings. Ich bin absolut positiv überrascht von dem Heizlüfter und möchte mich auch an dieser Stelle bei den anderen Käufern bedanken, welche ihre Erfahrungen niedergeschriebenen haben- diese waren für mich der ausschlaggebende Punkt, dieses Teil zu kaufen! Unser Hintergrund: Wir haben uns vor 2 Jahren ein Haus gekauft, BJ 1987, und wollten nicht die Ölheizung von Viessmann (von 2008) rausreißen und für 50 TEURO (!) eine neue „tolle“ Wärmepumpe einbauen. Blödsinn! Und Wucher dazu, aber lassen wir das Thema hier… die Viessmann funktioniert tadellos. Da im Wohnzimmer im Erdgeschoss noch dazu ein schöner großer Holzofen steht, haben wir uns für die „Hybrid-Lösung“ entschieden. Wir haben somit unser Haus Stück für Stück „smarter“ und effizienter gemacht, für überschaubare Kosten. Alle Heizkörperregler gegen smarte Regler ausgetauscht (AVM), sinnvolle Zeiten für jedes Zimmer eingerichtet, dazu die Vorlauftemperatur der Heizung gesenkt, dazu die Warmwasser-Aufbereitung an unseren Zeitplan angepasst (nur morgens), die Zirkulationspumpe ebenfalls schaltbar gemacht. Damit konnten wir den Ölverbrauch von früher 2.200 Liter/Jahr des Vorbesitzers auf rund 700 Liter/Jahr senken. Dazu Fenstersensoren, schaltbare Steckdosen, alles einheitliches System auf DECT-Basis, damit es jedes Familienmitglied bedienen kann. Dazu ein Anker Balkonkraftwerk mit 4 Modulen a`500 Watt und 5,5 KWh Speicher, dazu eine Klimaanlage von Mitsubishi Electric für das Esszimmer und den Wohnbereich im EG, dazu die beiden Kinderzimmer im OG. Schlafzimmer ist egal, da mögen wir es frisch, hier reicht eine offene Tür zum Überschlagen der Wärme abends kurz. Fehlten ergo nur das kleine Büro-Zimmer und das Badezimmer. Hier kommt der DREO-Heizlüfter zum Einsatz, siehe Bilder. Im Bad haben wir den ersten Lüfter verbaut, funktioniert einwandfrei. Kann am Gerät bedient werden, über die mitgelieferte Fernsteuerung oder- wie wir es tun- über die App am Handy. Mit Zeitplan, Timer, vielen Funktionsmöglichkeiten… für uns perfekt! Im Bad schaltet um 6.10 Uhr der Heizlüfter wochentags ein, da ab 6.20 Uhr die Familienmitglieder im Badezimmer eintrudeln… das Teil läuft auf Stufe 1 sehr leise, zieht rund 800 Watt und wärmt schnell das Badezimmer auf, welches nicht soooo klein ist. Täglich somit eine halbe Stunde Betrieb, somit 0,4 KWh am Tag Verbrauch… top. Dafür ist die Öl-Zentralheizung nur noch an den wirklich kalten Wintertagen in Betrieb, in Summe 3-4 Wochen im Jahr... ansonsten wird in der Übergangszeit und an Tagen über 0 Grad alles mit der Klimaanlage (is ja ne Wärmepumpe) und gelegentlich mit dem Holzofen geheizt. Für uns die perfekte Mischung… und der Heizlüfter ist für den Preis somit absolut zu empfehlen. Mit Bohrschablone inkl. kleiner Wasserwaage, gute Verarbeitung, im WLAN zuhause via APP steuerbar… was will man für 120.- Euro mehr. Uns reicht die erste Stufe morgens, ganz entspannt, um das Bad vorzuwärmen. Stufe zwei zieht rund 1.100 Watt, Stufe 3 zieht 2.000 Watt, nutzen wir aber nicht. Im Standby verbraucht der Lüfter 0,8 bis 1 Watt für die WLAN-Verbindung, dies noch informativ dazu. Passt aber für uns. Habe einige Bilder gemacht, ich hoffe es hilft anderen Interessenten ebenso bei der Entscheidung… viele Grüße aus der Pfalz! 😊

Ha sido el mejor calentador para el cuarto de mi bebé. Me gusta mucho que se pueda programar, porque me ayuda a mantener la habitación a una temperatura cómoda sin tener que levantarme a prenderlo o apagarlo. Es práctico, funcional y me da mucha tranquilidad durante la noche.

Fantastic little heater. We got this for our Tiny House and our guests LOVE IT! Very impressive how efficient this little heater is. Being a fan heater it is noisy on the highest setting. On the other hand, I have slept comfortably in the winter weather, with the heater being left on ECO setting all night. It kept the temperature at steady 18 degrees (which I set) and I could barely hear it coming on and off. Can't comment on durability as it's not been long enough usage, but hope it will last! Will buy the same one once this one breaks! Simple to use and remote control is handy. I also use the app, very nicely made and simple. Looks pretty too, we got the "wood" design one. FANTASTIC little heater!
