I’m really happy with this indoor security camera. The video quality is clear, the setup was quick and easy, and the camera provides a great view of the room. I especially like being able to check on my home remotely from my phone. The motion detection works well, and the night vision is also very clear. It gives me extra peace of mind when I’m away from home. Overall, it’s a reliable and easy-to-use security camera, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable indoor home security option.

So far So good
Right out of the box, I love it. User Guide simple, a template if you want to use the anchor and screws that are included, to drill into your wall and hang the camera. Amazon has a adhesive mount ill be ordering after this. Its around $8-10 I believe. The power cord has to be 8 or 9 feet.. idk but LONG. This is great for where I want to place the camera to babysit my Pups. I can easily hide the cord along the window (BIG kitchen window) and reach my extention cord (also purchased from Amazon) with ease. Setup was a breeze. Like not even 5 minutes, maybe 10, becausei like to explore the app. Unbox, admire the cord and read the Quick Start Guide. Download app, follow app instructions, plug camera in, wait for the red and green light on the camera and follow the app. You get a 30 day, NO CARD NEEDED free trial of cloud storage. Video is clear!!! I still have the plastic on and its CLEAR. Sound IS CRISP.. Just speak in a normal tone. But it picks it all up. Zoom... well you wont see a fly on the wall but it works.. its just so much for what I paid.. its kinda, Great. Geofencing so you can set up and forget about it but, alos stop and start monitoring from your phone.. As you can tell im excited.. I can't wait to leave the house and test the settings.. if everything goes great.. hey.. I might outfit my entire house with Tapo cams and tech. ** The photo of the camera view is a close shot (Pups), I was holding the camera in my hands. And THE PLASTIC IS STILL ON THE CAMERA** UPDATE coming soon. I found a fault... the detection. Everything is a person... maybe I have the wrong cam but its says they cam cam distinguish between people and animals. I get a ton of notifications for cars or the tree moving.. i had to turn notifications off. It was too much. **UPDATE** I LOVE THE CAMERAS.. I bought a second cam. But after loosing power not once, not 2ice, but 3 times.. my next order will be for a wireless unit. But.. I will say when the power came back on, both cameras went right back to work. No reconnecting, no resetting, just back to recording and storing.

Easy set up with the included QR code, and very inexpensive. Worth double their price.
These little cameras are inexpensive, and get the job done, they monitor the area you place them in, the 1080p is not bad if you are looking at the image through a cell phone. The human sensors (to detect when an actual person comes into the image area) work really well, no false alarms such as when the lighting changes. My biggest worry was set up, as I had recently switched internet providers and had to get a new router. The previous camera I was using to monitor my office space was a no-name foreign brand, and was the worst set up experience I have ever experienced with a wifi camera. The only good thing about that other brand was that cloud service was completely free. With these you can get a month free but they you have to pay approximately $3-4 a month if you want to keep it. I have put a micro sd card in so that I can avoid having to pay the cloud fee, but for whatever reason the card I chose will not properly format, so I had to order a new micro sd. I'm sticking with a known brand this time and when it arrives I will try it out. Overall, I am very happy with these cameras. The box includes a QR code, you scan it and it allows you to download the app. You plug the camera into power and it creates a wifi to connect to for easy set up. Once connected to the Topo wifi, you choose which network you want to connect to and enter the password. It's that easy, you are now set up and getting notifications on your phone. It does not have a battery, so you can only use these if you have a AC power source. The mount swivels all around so you can place them where you would like, or even mount them to the wall with the included screws and a template for drilling holes. It also includes some sticky tape for sticking it to a table or other smooth surface. These are worth far more than the purchase price.

Perfectly Good Dog Camera Without the Expensive Subscription
I got this specifically to use as a dog camera. I had been using a Furbo, but the subscription cost is just too much for what I actually need. I really just want to be able to check on the dogs when I'm away, see what they're doing, and have two-way audio if needed. This does exactly that without making the whole thing unnecessarily complicated. The 1080p picture is clear, night vision works well, setup was easy, and the app has been straightforward to use. I also really like having the option for local SD card storage instead of being forced into paying for cloud storage. For my purposes, this does everything I actually need from a dog camera at a fraction of the ongoing cost. Very happy with it.

Impressive for the Price
I bought this because I wanted a streaming camera for my birdfeeder, but birdwatching cameras are out of my price range as someone just starting out in birdwatching. It came with a quick start guide, and then everything else was explained through the tapo app. I'm not a techy person. I don't even have a smart phone, but I set the app up on my tablet, and it took me about half an hour for full set up, from downloading the app to connecting the camera. The camera quality is okay, but about as expected for the price. I do wish there was a setting in the app that let me chose which distance to focus on, as the autofocus seems to be for the farthest distance, so my birds are all a little blurry. The quality will change as well, depending on how many birds are in frame, the sunlight, and how much they are moving. Sometimes I'll look back at a video and think "wow, that's pretty clear" and others it's so pixelated that is washes the color out of the finches. I've included the video of the worst offernder for an idea of blurred and pixelated it can get. I haven't had any connection issues since getting it, though it did take me some tries to get it connected the first time. I use neither an SD card or the cloud. I manually record when I see something interesting, and it gets saved to my tablet's photo gallery. So far, this has worked out great for me. I set it to privacy mode at night to give the camera some rest as it gets very warm during the day, and night vision is pretty useless through a window (the camera reflects itself) It is fully plug-in, and has no internal battery, so if you lose power, you lose camera. When setting up, I relied very heavily on the tapo support webpage, but with that (and a lot of googling) I was able to create a camera account and rtsp link so I can now stream the camera to my laptop. The picture quality isn't as good as the app itself, but it is nice. I chose not to mount it, but instead have it sitting on my window sill, where I can adjust the positioning as I want. It has a wide base so I don't worry about it falling over without mounting it. Though it did come with a helpful sticker with screw guide so align it correctly.

Great camera
I needed these cameras to set up at my mom’s house so I could keep an eye on her after she had a pretty traumatic fall. The picture is clear, you can set it for person detection only (great if you have a dog or cat) and you can make it detect in only a certain section of the view so it’s not going off if someone is sitting or in bed. You can talk through the camera, there’s a delay but we have that figured out. We still have a few cameras that we can use and they will definitely be put to use! The app is easy to set up and once the camera is set up with WiFi there’s no additional fuss. You can view up to 36 cameras on the app. If you purchase the viewing package you can go back and view previously recorded activity or you cannot subscribe and watch real time only. Would be great for our loved ones and pets or to view outdoor activity such as bird or deer watching.

Good little camera
Had some issues with Set Up but once I figured it out, the camera seems to work good. I said it in my front window so it does not work at night. I also need a microSD card which I haven’t purchased yet to save video. Otherwise a great deal once you figure out the quirks.

I never write reviews. Well, very rarely. I have been searching for a small camera to place outside my apartment door that pointed at my door and the surrounding hallway. I have ordered multiple cameras, only to have troubles connecting them to the Wi-Fi, or them working for a few minutes and stopping,... It was one issue after another with each little mini spy cam I seemed to purchase. I couldn't trust reviews anymore. I wanted wireless. Obviously if I live in an apartment building it's not going to be easy if it it's not wireless. But that seemed to be the only things that were left out there, that I hadn't tried. I ordered this camera and I thought it was wireless. I was wrong. But hold on. There's more to this story... First of all, connecting it to my Wi-Fi and working with the app was so super simple, I was worried something was wrong. Could it really be this easy?? After I disconnected it from the cord that charged it .... it stopped working. That's when I realized I had made a mistake and it needed to stay plugged in. Duh. The thing is is that it was so simple to get it up and running, seriously less than 5 minutes! And the picture was good! And it seemed to have a lot of flexibility so I could angle it just the way I wanted to. I looked at it and said you know what? I'm going to make this thing work for me. I am not sending a camera that is this easy to set up, back. I have a mini SCD card. I don't want to pay for cloud storage. I don't want to pay for anything extra The cord that comes with this little camera is basically flat so I had no trouble putting it through the top of my door without the door pinching the cord! It was pretty long.... But I did not have an outlet near the door so up up on a step ladder this old woman went, and I taped it along the ceiling line and then I chose a white extension cord so it would blend in with the wall in my living room. I made it look good. I am thrilled with this camera! I can now see who's knocking at my door... I can speak to them clearly through my two-way audio. I can see if somebody has left a package. I am disabled so getting up and down is not always easy for me... And I live alone so sometimes I'm not dressed for guests if you know what I mean lol. This whole review, It does nothing else, I want to make sure that it shows you the ease with which this camera was set up. So that, along with the fact that the picture quality was excellent, so *completely* outweighed the inconvenience of having to figure out how to connect it to the nearest outlet in my home. If you are a frustrated consumer like I was tried multiple cameras only to have to keep returning them and not getting what you want, please consider this one. One. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
