The camera quality is very good with clear 2K video both day and night. The pan and tilt functions work smoothly and the motion detection is accurate. Easy to set up with the Tapo app and the WiFi connection has been stable. Great value for the features included.

Used at the back of our garden in the corner to see behind a mancave & shed & back alone the garden wall & fence, our 1yr old cats are exploring & we know they like to venture out of sight, the camera also shows when other cats have come in the garden by the wall at the back. I made a wooden top cover for it to reduce any water getting into it & keep it in good condition as it’s at a difficult place to get to, hence needing this much valued camera, we’ve several TAPO cameras around our house & in the mancave to watch my 3D printer & another to watch my mobility scooter & smoke alarm to warn us if they hear a baby crying noise or cats screaming 🙀 TAPO are very reliable & easy to set & use, highly recommended for everywhere in the house at a great price for their performance at recording everything that moves!

Bought this to expand my Tapo-integrated smart home setup and, like the other Tapo products I’ve used, the installation process was quick and straightforward. While this is obviously a consumer-grade product rather than a professional CCTV system, the overall build quality, ease of setup, and smart home integration capabilities are genuinely impressive for the price point. Everything connected smoothly within the ecosystem, and the automation options make it a really convenient addition to my setup. Because of the strong integration features, simple setup process, and solid overall quality, I’d happily give this product 4.5/5 stars.

Brilliant camera, easy set up and connection. You can fine tune your setup in the app so i do not get false alarms, picture is very clear during the day and also at night which i had not found with other brands, it is a fantastic system. You can buy an sd card to fit it if you want to be subscription free, although the subscription is great value for the money. You will not be disappointed in this camera, you will feel more secure.

Never had any issues with any of the Tapo cameras I’ve bought. This is the first I’ve had with a light. It’s used in a sunroom so light isn’t necessary. It can be reduced to 5 minutes if triggered, but would be good to cancel that function altogether. However no issues. Setup was easy and is a sturdy setup.

Overall great value as the image quality is great, Wi-Fi also works well and the price point solid. I was looking for something good that would not need extensive wiring through the house and this fit the bill. I had to buy a 220v to 12v transformer to feed the camera which I put in a weatherproof box. I reused the wiring for an outside light that served no purpose. It would be much easier to install if it worked on 220v. Setup with the app is easy and straightforward, the camera connects well to wifi and is consistent. Not having to pay a subscription is a top bonus. Image quality is great and following movement is also great. Night vision is also very decent. However, the AI detection is rubbish and plants and rain are all consistently detected as people or camera being blocked. It’s not a

captures peeps and cars no problem, which is just what we needed for our car park and alleyway easy to set up, excellent pics, camera can format the micro mem card, 3m lead from 3pin charger plug to the camera we bought two cameras, recommend you buy these, not the cheaper ones below: previously tried ieGeek Magnetic Security Camera Outdoor Wireless and WUUK 2K Wireless Outdoor Security Camera neither of those able to record cars reliably going in and out of our property, missed more than it captured, recorded pedestrians no prob, how can it fail to capture a car when it captures pedestrians ??! tech support for either of the two above not able to fix the car issue, send them both back for a full refund

Good cheap camera but it loses its calibration quickly requiring resetting the calibration. Image quality is good. I have it in a garage to monitor the dryer to save a journey when it's complete. Offers security too. I am considering outside property cameras

Ich hatte bereits eine Kamera eines anderen Herstellers in Benutzung. Die positiven Rezensionen dieser Kamera haben mich dazu gebracht, das Modell anzuschaffen. Vorab... ich habe jetzt insgesamt 4 von den TAPO Kameras im Einsatz und bin sehr zufrieden. Meine bisherige Kamera habe ich demontiert und verkauft. Auch deshalb, dass ich nur eine App benutzen muss. Vorteile der Kamera sind meiner Einschätzung nach folgende: Preis... einfach unglaublich für welchen Betrag man eine gute Kamera bekommt Speicherkarte... TOP.. kein Abo erforderlich APP.. die ist auch einwandfrei. Man kann alles mögliche einstellen (Empfindlichkeit, verschiedene Nachtmodi, Alle Bewegungen erkennen oder nur Personen... usw.) Die Integration weiterer Kameras ist kinderleicht... also alles einwandfrei. Weitere Sensoren: Man kann weitere Sensoren kaufen und das Haus noch detaillierter überwachen (Bewegungssensoren, Wassersensoren, Öffnungskontakte... usw.) Das finde ich auch super... wenn man das möchte kann man also erweitern. Zuverlässigkeit: Bis jetzt laufen alle Kameras ohne Ausfälle. Bewegungen / Personen werden zuverlässig erkannt. Gegensprechfunktion: Man kann über die Kamera mit einer Person sprechen.. war schon einmal hilfreich als der Junior aus der Schule kam und keinen Schlüssel hatte.. ich konnte ihm sagen, dass er zur Nachbarin gehen soll. Ich habe auch das etwas teurere Modell C520 im Einsatz.. bietet fast noch etwas mehr Funktionen, hat einen LAN-Anschluss. Kann dieses Modell auch absolut empfehlen. Fakt ist.. meine vorherige Kamera eines bekannten Herstellers war fast 3 x so teuer als diese hier.. die Funktionen waren nicht so umfangreich. Also... ich bin mehr als zufrieden und hoffe, dass die Kameras lange ihren Dienst verrichten. Ich hatte zum Glück die Möglichkeit die Kameras sehr geschützt zu verbauen.. das ist sicherlich nicht schlecht für die Haltbarkeit. Ich empfehle die Kamera auf jeden Fall weiter!! Falls TP-Link diese Rezension liest... es wäre schön wenn es die Kamera auch im schwarzen Gehäuse geben würde.. das ist unauffälliger und sieht etwas hochwertiger aus. Viel Spaß beim überwachen....;-)

Debo decir que he probado 3 marcas diferentes con sus respectivas aplicaciones, y esta camara de tapo es sin duda la mejor camara, en calidad y funciones, y la mejor app para su control. La verdad es que me he pasado meses comparando app's, yo queria una camara que me permitiera vigilar mas de una zona, y esta al rotar 360°, lo cumple, y hace que me ahorre comprar 2 camaras para 2 zonas, porque esta sola lo cubre. En calidad de imagen, he reducido la calidad a 1080, y aun asi se ve de lujo, de esta manera me trabaja con menos consumo de wifi. La distancia llega a ver todo, pero con bastante detalle hasta unos 40 metros. Por lo que se refiere a la app, hablare de las funciones gratuitas que no requieren suscripcion, tapo te permite tener hasta 32 camaras vinculadas al mismo sistema, ademas, tiene 3 tipo de alarma, una cuando detecta movimiento, otra para detectar personas, y otra si detecta manipulacion de la camara. Se pueden activar las 3 simultaniamente y graduar la sensibilidad segun la zona, para evitar saltos. Cuando se activa, te envia una notificacion la app. Tambien tiene diferentes niveles de grabacion, yo queria una app que me permitiera grabar 24/7, de esta manera, tengo un mejor control de todo lo que pasa. Con una tarjeta SD (no incluida) se guarda todo, llevo una semana y la capacidad ni se me ha movido, no ocupa casi nada. Tiene varias funciones mas, como marcar zonas de privacidad, si quieres que algo no lo grabe, dispone tambien te marcar zonas donde no quieras que salte la alarma, por ejemplo, yo he marcado la zona de una lampara del jardin, que cuando hace viento, se mueve, y me hacia saltar el aviso de la app, de esta manera ya no me lo detecta. Tambien tiene la opcion de patrullaje horizontal y vertical, que la camara sola gira en ambos lados. Dispone de luz incorporada, que de noche hace que se vea al detalle todo. El modo noche infrarojo es brutal, se ve hasta con mejor detalle que con la luz. Tambien te permite crear zonas de vigilancia predeterminadas, y cuando quieras, cuando le des, la camara buscara la zona que tu hayad guardado previamente. Tambirn dispone de la opcion de seguimiento del movimiento, si detecta alguien, la camara lo seguira hasta que lo pierda de vista. Hay mas cosas, aunque todo lo explicado es gratuito con la app. Voy a comprar un par mas de este modelo, y me estoy pensando en pagar la suscripcion, que es de 4,99 euros al mes.
