Good high frequency response and imaging. For the price it's a solid selection compared to other similar options. Trying to get low end out of them is a fools errand and what is there is muddy so temper your expectations in that regard. These can function decently in a passive multi-speaker setup that includes a sub or other full range speakers, but I would not recommend them as a dedicated pair of monitors by themselves. There are better powered options for just a little more like the Eris ones. They also take a bit of power, which was a little surprising to me. If you don't have individual speaker pair volume control then these may not be as loud as you think they ought to be - likely an advantage if you are just buying these as inexpensive surrounds or rears - that's a good application for these.

They are very inexpensive for what they are , sound pretty darn good the way they are . But for my purpose,I am using the cabinets for my 4 inch DIATONE full range driver , so in a day or 2 I will install the DIATONE's and design the filter network and impedance compensation network . Bravo once again the Parts Exspress for a awesome product.

These are well built good looking speakers. Not sure why they are 6 Ohms, that is a rather odd impedance. By themselves, they don't seem very efficient, the volume is quite low with my 35 watt RMS amplifier cranked. That said, they are tiny bookshelf speakers and aren't designed for high output. When I pair them with a set of similar sized Pre-Sonus active bookshelf speakers attached to the amp's line outs and blend them together, they sound quite good in combination, and fill my living room with a comfortable listening volume with great clarity and presence. However, neither set of speakers (passive Daytons attached to speaker outs, or active Pre-Sonus attached to line outs) is really adequate alone.

Quality speakers, well built, no construction flaws, attractive look to them, very well designed connectivity options. A good amount of weight to them. I couldn't get the Bass I was seeking out of them, so they're on a smaller stereo system now. But they are capable of handling some high wattages nonetheless. Minimal distortion if any.

Great sound quality in a small, affordable sound package. Used as main speakers for home entertainment center.

Nice little speakers. Comparable in size and sound to the micca mb42x. Own their big brothers as well. The b65s had some build quality issues but these b40s were pretty good. Overall nice, cheap, attractive, speakers for the price. Not gonna blow anyone away with bass. Would be best suited for a nearfield setup like a PC desk or maybe some height channels in a ht.

Esta pequeña cabina sellada se escucha mejor de lo que uno puede esperar! Ahora talvez valla por las B65 Madera! Por lo pronto las B40 destacan bien para una sala promedio!
