A case for Clorox All-in-One Algae Killer over Yellow Gone/Out
This product worked in a quick, fantastic manner. After 24 hours, a noticeable clearing was taking place and within 48 hours water was completely clear. I had used 2 applications of Yellow gone/out but each time the yellow algae returned. Also, Ai stated that yellow gone/out was a better product because it was a different active chemical. The thing about yellow gone/out is it eats a lot of chlorine to kill the algae. On both applications of yellow gone/out, I dumped 6 gallons of liquid chlorine. This product being a different active chemical did not consume one half that amount of chlorine. I also had some metal staining and this Clorox product lessened the color whereas Y O/G did nothing. One strong word of caution, once added to pool water, use your brush to ensure it does not settle along the edges and corners or it will definitely lighten a liner pool. Do this even though you run your pump/filter for the full 48 hours.

Best algaecide on the market!
This is the ONLY algaecide I use! I have tried several over the years and it was always a fight to keep my pool clear(24×52) This does not foam, just pure clean. I put in .5 ounces twice a week around the edge of the pool and have ZERO algae issues with a pool in full sun and a yard full of trees. The copper in it is the vital ingredient to keeping the pool in check!

Works quickly!
This is the best. The first item to get my chlorine up, plus we can get in the pool 15 minutes after application . I trust the Clorox name.

Amazing
Great product. Even when my chlorine levels run low or close to zero with a few days of rain, the pool doesn’t turn green. And my pool is prone to it. So this product is a part of weekly maintenance , a little goes a long way. One bottle will probably last you a season (my pool is small, 6000 gallons)

Effective
The Clorox XtraBlue Algaecide effectively tackled the algae in my pool within days. I love that it’s non-foaming, making it easy to use. The only downside was needing more than I anticipated for my pool size, so it may not last as long. Overall, a solid product that gets the job done!
