Grinds are no issue
I was initially hesitant about purchasing because of most recent reviews / regarding grinds. Im thrilled that I made the purchase!!! I also purchased course ground coffee and happy to report ZERO grinds in my coffee. This press is quite large, I made two cups to 6 cups of coffee without any issues. Keeps the coffee hot for about 1 hour with 1 cup remaining and about 3 hours when fuller. I’m quite pleased, daily use and course ground coffee is the main key for no grinds.

Very well made
The STANLEY Classic Stay-Hot French Press Coffee Maker (48 oz) has been an outstanding addition to our daily routine. We use it every single day, and it has consistently delivered great results without any issues. It’s simple, reliable, and makes brewing coffee straightforward whether it’s first thing in the morning or for a second pot later in the day. The build quality is excellent—this thing feels extremely durable and built to last. Like most STANLEY gear, it has that rugged, no-nonsense construction that makes it clear it can handle regular use, travel, or even outdoor settings without worry. The insulation keeps coffee hot for a long time, which is especially nice when you’re not rushing to finish it right away. A big part of its appeal is the design. It has that classic old-school STANLEY look—sturdy stainless steel, simple lines, and a timeless, utilitarian style that feels both nostalgic and practical. It doesn’t try to be fancy, but that’s exactly what makes it so good. It looks like something that belongs in a cabin, a campsite, or a hardworking kitchen. Overall, it’s a dependable, well-made French press that we reach for every day. It’s tough, functional, and has that iconic STANLEY aesthetic that never really goes out of style.

This makes a great tasting pot of coffee, and the coffee stays hot too.
We are avid campers and for years now I've been brewing my morning coffee using a french press. The last one I had was metal like this one, but it wasn't vacuum insulated which was a major source of consternation as the second cup would never be hot, just warm. So when I read about this Stanley french press I knew I'd found the answer. I just had to wait for it to go on sale!! So when it did finally go on sale I scooped one up and after a close inspection I took the time to straighten out the filter-screen/plate so it would seal nicely along the edges of the pot and gave it a good first cleaning. I always measure the amount of water I need by filling up the french press to the water level I desire (usually about 1L) and then I pour it into a kettle so I can heat the water up on our camp stove. Once at the right temp I poured the hot water over roughly 7 Tablespoons of ground coffee, stirred it for 30 seconds and then put the lid on gently so the coffee would brew. I then wait for my 3-minute egg timer to run its course, and pressed the coffee grounds into the bottom of the pot. The resulting coffee tasted great and there was no issues with grounds making it into my cup. The best thing though is that when I was ready for my second cup, it was hot and delicious. That's what I wanted, and I'm glad it met my expectations. Overall this french press worked great, and cleanup wasn't bad either. I'm quite pleased with how well this works.

It's nice and big and sturdy, what you expect from a stanley
I've gone through about half a dozen glass french presses, for various reasons, they've all eventually failed under normal operation and shatterered, leaving an enormous, scalding mess on my counter to clean up. I've looked for a couple of months for a sturdy, all-steel french press that had enough volume to not be a total joke to use on a daily basis. I like the appearance of the purple color and my family and I have adorned the half you can't see in my photo with our homemade stickers. It's something we all look at every morning during breakfast and it's always getting used. I've noticed that a bit of grains are almost always in every cup of coffee I pour, but I don't really care and kind of like having a grain or three in my cuppa. It was great to be along for our 2 night camping trip and made plenty of coffee, when filled up, for three people. I'd say it's about the best stainless steel french press you can buy from a reputable american company, I can't think of any other competitors honestly.

Lost 30 degrees in one hour. You had one job.
I just received this coffee pot, so this is part one of my review. I have never had a coffee pot that kept the coffee hot enough for me. My regular coffee maker is a Bonavita ($$$) with a thermal carafe, and it doesn’t keep the coffee hot for more than about a half hour. I used a Technovorm previously, which not only didn’t keep coffee, hot enough, it also didn’t wet the grounds thoroughly as advertised. (The Bonavita does wet the grounds thoroughly.) I am not buying a coffee maker with a heating element for the carafe. My house is not a Jiffy Lube lobby. So, we shall see if this works. The pot arrived, undamaged, and fairly clean, although of course I cleaned the interior before making coffee. I made about a half pot, and the coffee was delicious and tasted like it came from a French press - that is, a little bit more chewy. The main thing about this pot is that it is freaking huge. This would be good for making coffee in the morning for three or four people. The hugeness helps with the logistics of using this pot. It’s easy to pour coffee and hot water in without splashing. And it pours out very easily, too. I poured one cup about 15 minutes ago, and will check back in about an hour to see if the rest of the coffee is still hot. Part Two: Nope. Not hot enough. I did another test, making a pot and leaving it sealed for an hour. 6:28p - 202 degrees F 7:26p - 174 degrees F I understand aficionados want it around 160, but that is NOT hot coffee in my book. Neither is 174. I want it around 180. But regardless of what temperature you drink it at, it’s pretty outrageous that it lost almost 30° in just one hour. I will be returning this pot and using my one-cup cheap French Press pot.

Better than expected... And I expected a lot from a stanley!
Typical stanley. Well made and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Love the size and it keeps my coffee warm for longer than I ever expected

Don't pay for the Stanley name; find a good press instead.
For almost $75, I expected better. This was bought to replace a smaller and less expensive Mixpresso (now listed as Secura) insulated coffee press. I thought the quality of the Stanley press would be leaps and bounds beyond the cheaper Mixpresso, but it's not. The Stanley press doesn't feel as luxe as the much cheaper Mixpresso press. It has various sharp edges and a cheap plastic handle. Beyond the Stanley's looks, its performance is abysmal. The spout is incorrectly engineered and allows coffee to dribble down the side and all over your counter. The plunger apparatus has a few issues, the first being it doesn't screen the coffee grounds all that well. This morning I pulled out the plunger to clean it and there was about an 1/8" of grounds sitting on top of the screen. Another problem with the plunger is the edge is very sharp, so you have to use something to protect your finger tips to unscrew it from the stem. The last problem with the plunger is the threading for the screw that holds the plunger base to the stem, in that it doesn't always line up on the first try, so you sit there trying to tighten it, but it stays wobbly until you unscrew it and try again to find the right part of the thread where it goes in. The only positive things I can say is, the green is a nice shade, it's easy to clean (once you risk your fingers getting it apart), and it does keep coffee steaming hot for over two hours (I'm a slow drinker). Overall, I would not buy this product again. If this is the current status of Stanley's build quality, I might even be hesitant of buying another product from them.

Also optisch top und edel.

Absolutely love
I love my French press. I mainly bought it for the colour to be honest and my friend had bought me a Stanley cup so I knew it would be good quality. My favourite feature is that you can turn the lid round to block off the spout so it keeps the heat in. Coffee stays hot for ages and when it does go cold I use what’s left for iced coffee In The afternoon
