Neutrogena Hand Cream 56 g (Pack of 1)

I have to say that I'm quite impressed with this product. After buying hand creams from several well reputed and more expensive brands that did nothing for my extremely dry and painfully cracked hands, I decided to give this a go. My work requires me to wash my hands with soap upto 40 times a day. And no I don't suffer from OCD. The result is chapped and darkened skin that starts bleeding painfully by the end of the day. I even used a medicated cream recommended by a dermatologist but nothing seemed to work.The first time I used this it stung a bit but that's probably because of the cracked skin. I was really surprised at the results after leaving it on overnight. It is non greasy and my hands looked better after just one use. I've now been consistently using this for a couple of weeks before going to bed and I do use a little more than a dab. The fragrance is light and neutral - nothing to go gaga over but the results are amazing. My hands are returning to their original colour and the skin is much smoother. They are still dry but not painful anymore.So if you have dry hands just close your eyes and buy this.

I have been using this hand cream from many years. I think they have changed the formula because earlier it used to be a lot better in moisturising and got absorbed faster and was very very nice. The packaging is still the same though. However, even now i think it is better than many of the hand creams in this price range.I prefer the texture of this hand cream, it has a richer and slightly thicker feel than most creams. As mentioned by other reviewers, it is somewhat like petroleum jelly. However, it is not the same as applying Vaseline as Vaseline doesn't get absorbed into the skin properly and leaves a visibly oily layer on the skin whereas this doesn't form an oily layer, it dries matte. I feel this cream is quite suitable for even harsh Delhi winters because of its slightly heavy feel. During very cold winters my hands become extremely dry and start hurting and this was the only reasonably priced cream that worked well. (I tried some other effective high end brands also but they were very expensive, but i couldn't find an impressive one in this price.)I like it as it successfully keeps my hands soft and moisturised and shows results in just a few days. My hands start looking much younger and even the veins start looking less prominent. If you put it on at night and sleep with cotton gloves, in the morning your hands look way better. Also even if this tube looks tiny, it lasts for a very very long time as you need a very tiny amount. I use it as an undereye cream and lipbalm also and it keeps the skin hydrated and soft. My lips feel smooth when i keep it on overnight. The fragrance is fine and doesn't last long.When you put it on, it is clear like Vaseline, but when you start rubbing it, it turns white. So you have to go on massaging it into your hands till it disappears completely. Also don't use too much quantity as then it may not get absorbed properly and leave your hands sticky. Please note that it leaves a layer on your skin even after it gets absorbed. However it's actually not that irritating as hands don't feel oily or uncomfortable. Initially i was apprehensive to buy this cream for this reason, but in 3-4 days I got used to it and also the results were good so it wasn't a big deal for me. I apply it even at work, and the layer doesnt make any papers/laptop greasy or make the hands slippery.If you are looking for an extremely light lotion-like cream, this isn't for you. I personally don't like those because i don't find them much effective. Also if you stay in a hot/humid climatic place, it might get uncomfortable to use if your hands sweat too much.If you have very dry hands or want protection in very cold winters, give this a try. This is one of my favorite hand creams. Thick, super moisturizing, seals in the moisture completely. It has paraben so if you are one of those on the anti- paraben brigade then its not for you. But if you care about soft hands then this is one product that is a must have. I know for me at least. It lasts pretty long for me and I apply it several times a day. I love the mild fragrance. (I don’t like hand creams which do not have any smell and smell like a chemist store) . I have also use the other hand cream from Neutrogena ( the white and blue pack) but that one is a sorry state as compared to this.

When i apply it , first it is white. But then after two minutes it is completely absorbed by the skin. I can instantly feel and see the moisturizering effect. Superb.

Moisture is good for just dry skin and it’s effect stays long. But, not the best for very dry or chapped skins..

One of the best hand creams for dry hands. I carry it with me everywhere.Its quite small in size.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT - Product is really good. I have rough hands due to frequent washing of utensils and more exposure to runny water and other household chores for now because of the lockdown. This handcream came to my rescue. My hand skin started peeling off, bled and by "rigorously applying it just for 2 days" my hand skin started getting back to normal. I tried applying coconut oil and other hand creams but nothing worked and showed results in mere 2 days like this did.Best part is your hands are moisturized even after multiple washing. You just need pea-size cream for full coverage on your front and back of hands. It's white, thick cream which has texture like that of petroleum jelly but does not leave shiny layer like it, absorbs in skin very well, has very very mild fragrance to it. It's non-greasy (your plams will not sweat even in summers). It says it's an hand cream but I have tried applying on my feet and it has worked wonders (apply at night leaving socks on).Best for all seasons all across the year.Upon application it does leave a white patch if "not massaged properly".CONS OF THE PRODUCT - The only and the biggest is the product is not chemical-free. Hope the brand works on this soon.PRICE/LONGEVITY - It's expensive for the quantity given BUT I have never come across any hand cream which gives results so quick. Also small amount runs a longgg way only if applied on hands.PRODUCT AVAILABILITY - Was available the time I ordered.
