New Balance Men's Fresh Foam X Hierro Mid GTX V1 Trail Running Shoe

Decided to take up trail running. Been wearing New Balance shoes for some time, been very pleased, so thought I'd try NB running shoes. They were on sale! Ordered standard size, but they were just too narrow. Returned them for a Wide pair (though I've never worn wide shoes). Perfect! I've since read reviews that say these shoes run a bit narrow.They are dreamy comfortable to wear and to run in! Very good support, great traction. I don't feel like I'm wearing shoes when I run.New Balance makes a quality shoe, so I'm not worried about these shoes lasting. Of course, time will tell.Sale or regular price, these shoes are worth it! Highly recommended!

I spend much of my day working on a hard concrete floor including walking 4 to 5 miles a day. You can really feel the foam in these shoes relieving the tension on your joints as you walk and work. My only criticism is the attachment of the tongue of the shoe by the ankle bone is a rather pronounced sowed in knot which was becoming very irritating. I had to use a scissors to cut about 1/2 inch of the tongue out at this point which solved the problem. Otherwise a great shoe that comes in a extra wide size and true to fit.

These look well made and were comfortable for most of my foot, but they were too narrow in the toe box/balls of my feet area. I ordered 4E (which for other NB shoes like 990s is fine or maybe even a little too wide for me) but these were just too tight. Too bad.

Color is exact to photo. Size is true to fit. Super strong material and sole. Great ankle support. Breathable. Love these and will purchase again. Highly recommend.

I've owned 2 pairs of these for 3 months and I have to say thatthey are comfortable to wear daily as a business casual office work shoe and are excellant walking and trail hiking shoes. The Vobram soles make these very durable and have solid grip (even in wet weather) on dirt trails and pavement.This is for people with straight lasted feet and need extra wide versions (the opposite of Nike which is a curve lasted shoe). They are GoreTex lined, but breath very well in hot weather like we have in Texas during the summers. I walk 7 miles each day (5 to 6 days each week) and they have been stellar. I highly recommend these New Balance shoes for exercise and daily walking. New Balance's quality is top notch and justifies their higher price. They hit a home run with these shoes!

I have purchased New Balance shoes for many years and I'm a fan of their quality and fit but these NB trail running shoes were too narrow for me. They are good looking and well made from quality materials but didn't fit me well enough for me to keep them.

Non-gore-tex version. These shoes were great on our hike up to Old Rag in the Shenandoahs. They fit wider than most wide shoes which necessitated the laces being tied very snug and required a re-tie after a few hours. Recommend trying the normal width out if you normally buy EE/2E widths just in case.

My 2nd pair of gore-tex New Balance shoes and first mid-ankle. Great grip on rocks and natural terrain and I can tell you it's water-proof. There'd been lotsa rain since and I've taken it through my bushwalks which include shallow creek crossings and it passed with flying colours. It's only a pity that the colour I wanted (green) wasn't available in my size but still very happy with this purchase.Shoes are a little narrower than my other NB Fresh Foam X v7. This model is not as wide so be mindful of sizes when ordering.
