DESIRETECH Black Electric Extension Lead - 4 Gang, 1 Metre Cable with UK Plug & 3 Pin Socket - Wall Mountable & Multi Socket Mains Strip for Home, Bedroom, Kitchen, & Office (1 Pack)

I’ve found this extension lead really useful around the home. Having four sockets gives me plenty of flexibility for plugging in several things at once, and the black finish looks neat and unobtrusive rather than standing out.I particularly like having the extra reach when I need to power things that aren’t close enough to a wall socket. It feels well made, is easy to use and has quickly become one of those practical items I find myself reaching for regularly. A useful extension lead and good value for money.

Picked up this 4-gang extension lead to sort out the cable management around a busy desk setup. White extension leads tend to look industrial and show scuffs instantly, so this matte black finish was exactly what I needed to blend cleanly into the background behind furniture. The Breakdown:• Pros: The build quality feels exceptionally solid—there is no cheap flex or creaking in the plastic housing when you apply pressure. The socket spacing is well-designed; it leaves enough clearance that standard plugs sit perfectly flush, and you can even manage a couple of slightly bulkier charging adapters side-by-side without completely blocking the adjacent outlets. The internal child safety shutters glide back smoothly without you having to fight or wiggle the plug to get it in.• Cons: The built-in power indicator LED is a bit on the bright side. If you plan to use this on top of a bedside table or directly in your line of sight while sleeping, you might find the glow a little distracting in a pitch-black room. Also, the heavy-duty cable arrives tightly coiled and takes a few days to fully flatten out and lose its memory.Performance & Real-World Use:I have this running a steady load consisting of a monitor, a desktop setup, and external chargers. The strip stays completely cool to the touch even under prolonged use, which gives real peace of mind regarding the internal wiring and components. The molded plug at the end has a sturdy strain relief boot that prevents the cable from fraying if it's bent at a sharp angle behind a socket. It sits perfectly flat on the floor or a desk surface without bowing upward.Final Verdict:A dependable, sleek, and well-constructed extension lead that does exactly what it needs to do while looking much tidier than standard white hardware. It offers great value for a durable home or office staple. Highly recommended if you want a reliable power solution that easily hides away.
