The 'Magic' in SoundMagic is true!
Alright, you are thinking - what a tall boast! Anything backing it up? And so, here we are: If you do not wish to read through the review, although I won't geek out a thousand words, there is a TL;DR version at the bottom. Also, wherever necessary I have added extra notes for explaining jargon - like this: [1], [2] ... - which are accumulated after the review. First, let's get to the specifications. Please do not think of specs as redundant or useless; in fact, they are helpful in indicating what a headphone is capable of and what are its limitations. Brand - SoundMagic Product - E10C Sound - Stereo Minimum Frequency Response - 15 Hz (Note: This means on the bass side of things, where 20 Hz [1] is normal for humans, this 15 Hz gives our E10C a decent bass) Connector Plating - Gold (Note: which is excellent) Technology - Wired Impedance - 16 Ohm (Note: at this price point, the impedance [2] is of no consequence, all you need to know is that your laptop or smartphone should be enough to drive [2a] the E10Cs) Cable Length - 1.2 meters (Note: decent) Maximum Frequency Response - 22,000 Hz (Note: Standard) Driver Size - 10 mm (Note: standard [3]) Form - In-ear Weight - 11 g Interface - Play/Pause, Skip/Back, Volume (Note: Volume works with 95% of the smartphones; it did not work with mine but that's a non-issue, skip/back are working) The Japanese company SoundMagic really knows what they are doing. There is solid engineering behind every earphone they come out with, and while some are misses, a lot of them are hits and the E10C is one of the latter. You will not find better sounding earphones in this budget. As you will see on the box and on various audiophile websites, this earphones have been awarded. Yes, awarded. But all this won't mean a thing until you try them on. Now they come with an array of earbud tips (as pictured), and you can pick out what fits you the best. Put them in. They are light and comfy. Both iOS and Android users can listen through as it has a switch for manually changing between devices. In fact the 'C' in E10C stands for compatibility. It just works. Additionally, the in-line buttons give you volume, track skipping and play/pause controls. The 3.5 mm jack is angled at 60 degrees, which makes life easy. A twisted 1.2 m cable should make it last a long time. The sound from these earphones is well balanced. You will feel the energy of a metal track without missing a beat. The mids [4] are pleasing, clear, which makes the vocals open and level. As lively as the bass is, the highs are distinct and smooth. This makes for a great overall listen. You will be lost in your music for hours. And your time will be well-spent. End Notes [1] Humans can hear from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Anything under 20 Hz is felt and not heard - which is the bass you guys love so much [2] Impedance is resistance to the flow of current. At high impedance the manufactures can make even better sounding headphones as the drivers - which are in the earbuds - have less chance of distortions seeping in [2a] In simple words, a smartphone, a laptop or an amplifier 'drives' - gives power - to your earphones, which means that high impedance headphones are harder to drive. 6 to 40 Ohm is a good range to be driven by smartphones and laptops, but you'll need an amplifier for anything above 60 Ohm [3] All you need to know is that 10 mm is good enough. The normal range for IEM (in ear monitors) is 8 mm to 15 mm. Loudness or quality is not dependent on the size [4] I will use very simple language to demystify this most used audiophile jargon - highs: think cymbals, the 'tss' part of ba dum 'tss' on a drum. Or when a singer does an elongated, and high 'aaaaa'. So, does that 'tss', or the 'ting', or the 'aaaaa' sound clear and distinct? Highs are good! Mids: when your voice crackles, or is raspy, or when you whisper sweet nothings to your partner - those are the perfect mids! Here lie most of the vocals and if you can hear the timbre, the tone cleanly, you've got good mids! Now lows everyone knows! Just another way of saying bass. It is better felt than heard. The air moves to the plucking of a bass string, and you hear a 'thrum'. The more popular one though is the 'boom boom' sound. TL;DR If you care about how you consumer your music, if you are looking for a gateway to understand how music should sound like, or if you simple want a simple good pair earphones without breaking the bank - you will not be disappointed. + Detailed, clear sound Solid design Switching between iOS and Android Sturdy build Cheap for what they offer - None at this price point

Good!! Not so great for this price!!
Bought this earphones for a change from the brand Sennheiser and after reading some ravishing reviews.. The earphones are definitely not bad but can't beat the beast Sennheiser..!! I have been using the cx275s for years & years still can't find a best replacement for that in this price range!! As far the sound clarity, yes it is definitely far better than Skullcandy, Sony, JBL headsets.. The clarity and details almost tries to come close to Sennheiser.. Bass is really good enough even hard hitting than Sennheiser but I liked bass on Sennheiser which was pure and how it should actually sound The headsets are loud enough as well like Sennheiser, which I was worried seeing it's low Sound pressure level. But it is ok. Treble is somewhat flat. Even if everything comes close to Sennheiser, there is really something lacking!! Sennheiser sounds very open and sounds so so crispy, original with authentic clarity.. Listening to music in Sennheiser is a pleasing experience and you can listen to music for hours without even a slightest headache.. When guitar chords are played, drum cymbals are hit, when a violin bow is rubbed over a violin, the beats made on tabla, the groovy punchy bass.. Sennheiser gives a totally another level experience like as if they play it live on your ears.. That clarity cannot be acheived by any other headset.. But the soundmagic does somewhat sound harsh.. Over a period of time you feel discomfort.. The frequencies around 1K are too loud.. Ears pain and gives little headache.. For ppl who wants very good bass and don't dig too much into details and clarity, this earphone stands somewhere in the middle with pretty good bass and also sound clarity.. For pure and ultimate pleasing audio experience in terms of clarity, adequate right level bass it is Sennheiser cx275s!! Also pause button not working for me in Soundmagic e10c.. I donno if others also have same problem..

A VERY HONEST & DETAILED REVIEW FOR SoundMagic E10C, Hence must read before you buy this !!! (*Pictures Attached)
Very first lemme tell you all that I am writing this review after 5 days of usage. In this package you will get ➼ Earphone, Bill which you can use for Warranty, 5 Sized ear buds (Medium sized ear bud is attached in earphone), Wire Clip, An Extra Extension Jack with Dual Headphones connectivity facility & A square shaped pouch. The SoundMagic E10C in-ear headphone is really Awesome with its powerful True Bass. Pros : 1. It has Deep Bass with SoundMagic Signature Sound and True Bass technology which is been used in High Quality Woofers/Speakers. (Frequency range: 15Hz~22KHz & Frequency Response: 18Hz – 22000Hz) 2. The quality of structure is really great. It perfectly fits into your ears & Double headed buds are so lightweight and no pain even after three hours. 3. Enjoy your all day music/movies with its silicone ear buds. 4. These lets you hear hard and smooth vocals as if you were standing beside your favourite singer. :) 5. Clean highs and good noise isolation provide ultimate experience. 6. It’s a miracle in science they actually are tangle-resistant, because they are wrapped in some kind of crimped plastic casing. It’s all about the crimp apparently. 7. In-built Mic which you can use for your calls and controlling your music & Yes! the wire clip helps alot to have a crystal clear conversation on call while you're driving car/bike. 8. Call quality of this Mic is Fantastic !!! 9. Earphone is made with such a wonderful material...Which is durable and Unbreakable. 10 Bass, Treble and Vocals are really great in this headphone. 11. Looks is damn Awesome. 12. SoundMagic Logo on both earphones, cable connector and mic make look beautiful and it feels high class. 13. Each bud is having a visible print of "L" & "R" sign just beside the Ear Bud for left and right !!! 14. As we all say, Last but not the least :) - The most important & unique quality of this headphones is "It's made up of Gun Metal which is one of the rare quality & class in itself that none of the headphones like Philips, JBL etc don't provide at such a cheap price. Please Note : Gunmetal is resistant to corrosion from steam and salt water hence it keeps the product look "Brand New with Sparkling finish" even after years of use !! Highs and Lows : 10/10 Bass: 10/10 Treble : 10/10 Mic. : 10/10 Thats all I had experienced. Really great and worth buy. I am damn sure that if you buy it you won't regret....Just Go for it. Its really high quality in-ear headphone with cheap price. One thing I want to mention that keep checking 'Today's Deals' and 'Lighting Deals' regularly to get offer on this headphone. ***Specifications: Driver: Dynamic 10mm Neodymium Driver Frequency range: 15Hz~22KHz Impedance: 46 Ohms (+/- 10%) Sensitivity: 100dB/mW @ 1KHz (+/- 2dB) Headphone Design: In-Ear Frequency Response: 18Hz – 22000Hz Microphone: Three Button Microphone Cable length: 1.2 m (3.5ft) Connection: 3.5mm gold plated plug Weight: 15g Cons: 1. Best in this price range, better than Apple Earpods (only in terms of sound, lacks durability)
Please read till the very end, there’s something you should know. First of all this is the first time since 2016, I purchased a new earphones. I was used to Apple earpods but recently they started to show their age, so I was looking for a good pair of earphones. All of my points will be in comparison to Apple Earpods (which are itself great IMO). First, let it burn for at-least 20 hours (not in single go). This is true, I have returned it because they were on lightening deal after 3 days of my purchase, So after listening them for 3 days I returned them and ordered again at 1650₹ and difference in sound quality b/w them was evident, so please let it burn. •SOUND QUALITY: E10C sounds bit brighter than Apple Earpods, E10C has better/wider soundstage. I was able to hear new sounds which I didn’t notice was there while I was listening through Apple EarPods. Instrument separation is amazing 👌🏻, these shines at full blast, and don’t have ear fatiguing trebles. •BASS QUALITY: Bass response is amazing but presence is not much prominent compared to Apple Earpods. But I like it that way, bass is controlled that’s why I was able to hear new elements of sound in songs. Bass is enough to keep you engaged but don’t compare them with SONY XB earphones. SONY XB series has very narrow soundstage (Used MDR XB70BT) Bass in XB series is very boomy and here it’s clean and punchy no booming bass. Frequency response is good 15 Hz to 22000 Hz, most earphones ranges between 20 Hz to 20000 Hz. •NOISE ISOLATION: In short it’s great, you can listen at medium volume even in noisy environment. Double cap earbuds are great for high level of noise isolation, but ears start to ache, maybe because I have small ears, and small earbuds are very comfortable but lacks noise isolation. So there’s a trade off. •MICROPHONE: Amazing, same as Apple Earpods (which are considered benchmark when it comes to mic). •IN-LINE REMOTE: Same as Apple Earpods, you can 1. Next/Prev a track 2. Volume up/down 3. Summon Siri (Google assistant too) 4. Pause 5. Seek forward and backward. All of this works on iPhone (without adapter) not sure about Androids. Also works with Laptop (Windows 10). Can play pause music and control Volume. •ACCESSORIES (Reason why they are expensive than CX 275s):- You get plethora of items. 1. 4 to 5 different sized Earbuds 2. Shirt Clip 3. Carrying pouch 4. Audio merger adapter (those who have separate jack for mic and audio will understand) 5. Phone adapter (I don’t know what’s the use of it) Things I liked:- •Its cable is surprisingly weird, they never get tangled, I don’t know why they don’t advertise it as tangle free cable. 🤷🏻♂️ •Build quality is superb (there’s a catch, read till the end :) Things I don’t like:- •Still trying to find 😄 •But if I were to address then, I think their high impedance makes them sound bit quiter, iPhone users will not notice it but I have heard read some reviews on Android especially (Oneplus users) users are noticing it. Bass could have been bit better. Reason for not choosing Sennheisser CX 275s:- Reason why I didn’t go for Sennheisser CX 275s is because that one had limited controls on inline remote, volume control is must for me, that one also has cheap rubbery cable which will eventually tear off like my Apple EarPods did. They also look cheap & are made of plastic. Sennheisser’s CX213 have ear fatiguing treble, you will experience nausea while listening it in full blast (used CX213 & I have heard they are their best offering under 2000₹), so I was sceptical about CX275s, heard lot of ranting about them in reviews. UPDATE (after 1 year of use) :- I am now noticing slight imbalance in the sound, but apart from that nothing else. DURABILITY: I bought it in somewhere around December 2019 and it’s February 2021 and it’s officially dead (left earpiece is sounding very tiny and produces crackling sound whenever there’s bass). Not satisfied with durability and it’s not because I handled it roughly. I always used to store it in case and never for once I put any strain on wires, and there’s also no sign of physical abuse on them. They just start sounding bad one day. Maybe they reached their lifespan and sadly they have warranty of only 1 year. So I can not recommend you to go for these.

Better earphones require "Better Device"
This is my fourth pair of earphones in the last three years. Other three being Soundmagic PL21, Sennheiser CX180 Street II, JBL CS150. Coming to the earphones, I have been using it for four months. Bought it for ₹1699, copper colour. Build quality: It has really great build quality. The earpiece, control buttons unit and jack, all are made of machined aluminium. The wires are thin, contoured and shiny but feel sturdy enough to take some beating and don't catch dust and grime. Accessories: Seven pairs of buds to get the perfect personalized fit for that great music experience. A much needed carrying case and other stuff. Sound quality: With having an okay ear, I could understand the quality and details of music. One thing that I've noticed a lot in the reviews that everyone seems to blame the earphones but not their device. It depends a lot on the device you use. I'll give you an example. I have a Redmi 2 Prime phone. On this device, the sound qualiy was good. I was able to feel the clarity, bass etc, but not to a great extent. Later I got Mi A1. It has an inbuilt 10V DAC amplifier. The first time I plugged it in, I was like, this is how it's supposed to sound like. It was underperforming with Redmi, cause the impedance requirement is higher than other earphones and the amplifier really upped the game. The sound is louder, clearer and has wider sound stage. I can feel the tiniest of sound all because of the Mi A1. Hence, guys, don't just judge your earphones by using it on a single device, try a couple of other phones. Maybe your phone isn't capable enough. I am quite satisfied with it. One thing I would like to add is, if you are looking for bassy earphones, please don't go for it. This has a very balanced sound. No mid to high range earphones will have bass centric sound output. If I have to talk about comfort, I would rate CX180 the most. It was so comfortable that I could wear it for more than 5-6 hours at a stretch without even feeling that it's there. While using this one, it begins to mark it presence after 3 hours. I was in a fix while purchasing as I was also looking at Beyerdynamic Byron, but it was pricier at ₹3200( made in Germany, though) and came with nothing but a pouch. Hence, my suggestion to anyone looking for a really good pair of earphones is that you can go for this, provided your phone gives the output to match the performance levels of this earphone. Otherwise, it will perform like a supercar, being ridden in traffic. Won't be able to entertain the way it's supposed to.

Unexpectedly Delighted !
Soundmagic is the OnePlus of headphones industry. Premium experience at a much lower price. Quality and performance that will be easy on your pockets. I am using it since a week. Let's look at the PROS: 1) Looks and design- KILLER. The headphones look premium and is surely going to up your stlye statement! The color combinations are fantastic. The design of buds is amazing. I have the black-silver one and it looks dope 😎 2) Sound- One of the most balanced sound output I've ever experienced. Even at the lowest volume level I could hear clear beats, background music and vocals. Distinctively. The balance couldn't get better than this. The highs and trebles are also awesome. The sound doesn't lose its charm even when the volume is turned up full. 3) Bass- A mild and measured bass output. Enough to tickle you and will never give you a headache even after long hours. Personally I prefer a decent bass and not that whacky one. Extreme bass enthusiasts may not get what they're looking for. Though the E10c turns up to be an all rounder. You can enjoy punchy and slow songs both. 4) It comes with a mic and volume rockers. The only good brand offering both in this price segment. The voice transmission through the mic is flawless. Also the buttons are durable. The company claims some thousands of clicks/presses. 5) Ergonomics- The silicone used for the buds is super soft yet doesn't lose its shape. It will slide into your ears like a knife on butter. The hold is firm and won't come out with minor head jerks. Though some stretching may cause the buds to slip off. But still you can count on the fit. There are extra pairs of buds with different sizes. 6) Material- The buds are metallic and the wires are of superb quality. Thick enough and durable. Not like those negligibly thin threads which some of the top brands provide these days. The connector jack is gold plated and is angular. This lets you connect it to your PC without any twisting/bending of the jack. The separator is poisely placed. Yes, the cables are tangle free 😉 7) Accessories- You get a beautiful zip case, PC connector and a phone connector. Also 4 pairs of buds other than the ones already on. The case and overall packaging is compact yet stylish. 8) Compatibility- Works with all. Android, iOS, Windows. Overall, this has me delighted to the core. Good to see such brands coming up. These premium budget brands will surely give the big sharks run for their money and rightly so. *No Cons for me. I couldn't have asked for anything more* Conclusion: Unbeatable performance with best features at such a price. Add to it the aesthetic appeal and E10c will not disappoint, it will only delight!

Disappointing when compared to my previous sennheiser cx180
I previously used sennheiser cx 180 street ii and I loved those headphones. They had the right amount of bass and great clarity and was fantastic to listen to edm and alternative rock music which are my favourite genres. But unfortunately i lost them. I did a lot of research on which headphones were the best in my budget before buying these headphones. There were many good reviews about these earphones, although some did say the bass was a little lacking (should have listened then ☹️). I decided to try my luck and bought these. They arrived within 5 days of ordering but the packaging was a bit damaged although there wasn't any damage to the product (i think so.. time will tell 😕..). All the mentioned accessories were there. At the time of writing I have used these for a month. The build quality seems alright. I didn't find the design very aesthetically pleasing but i give more importance to the sound and durability when buying earphones so i didn't factor in the design. The speakers have aluminium housing and the wires are braided but still a bit thin, they don't seem to be very tough. The jack is angled but it's almost the same as an L-shaped jack. The mic works well and the 3 button control works with my android moto g4 plus, although the + and - can only be used for volume control. They can't be configured to change tracks since the newer android version prevents it 😠. The buttons are a bit difficult to use especially since they're depressed in and completely flat. A bit of contouring might have helped. I personally don't use it much and use the volume buttons on my phone. The earbuds aren't angled so you need to look to put in the correct side, a major annoyance when using in the dark. The cable is more than adequately long. It doesn't weigh much either. Different people have different ears and different tastes in music and the way they like that music delivered. This is my opinion and I am a guy who likes mainly edm (chainsmokers, alan walker, david guetta, martin garrix etc) and alternative rock (linkin park, imagine dragons, blink-182, fall out boy etc) as i said before. These music require a decent amount of bass to feel good but the e10c doesn't deliver enough. The bass is not sufficient. Most headphones have 16 ohm impedance but these have higher impedance so you might need to increase the volume more than you normally do to be loud and clear enough. I used only 60-70% volume with my cx180 but with these i need 90-100% to be loud enough, sometimes even then it doesn't feel sufficient. The clarity is good when there aren't many heavy instruments playing and vocals are quite good. But when listening to songs with many instruments playing in the background, the sound feels crowded, mushy and muddled. You can't differentiate the instruments apart very well. This is especially the case in edm and rock music. The ear tips aren't that good, my ears start getting uncomfortably warm after extended use. Normally for me the medium size was the best fit with previous headphones. With these I initially used the larger tips in hopes of improving the bass by getting a better seal. It didn't make the bass feel better a but i felt a pressure building up in my ears when listening to bass rich music and it hurt my ears so i switched to medium size which were more comfortable for long use. So if your a person like me who likes to feel the bass when the song wants you to, likes good clarity and enjoys listening to good songs from different genres, then i wouldn't recommend you to buy these if you don't want to compromise on the bass (btw, i don't like an overpowering bass that muddies up all the other notes, some headphones do that and they're suitable only for bass-centric music and not for other genres). If you're a basshead then definitely steer clear of these, you'll be utterly disappointed. If you listen mainly to classical, soul etc and like vocals to be well heard, then these might be good for you. And if you're someone who is already using full volume with 16 ohm headphones, these will not give you enough volume. If you've used the cx180 before then I'll tell you the e10c doesn't have as much bass as they do. If you found the bass on the cx180 to be too much (i find that highly unlikely) then you might like these. Hope this review helps you, and like i said before, not everyone will have the same opinion as me since different people have different ears and tastes. It all comes down to individual preferences. If you really want to know if these earphones will suit you then you should try them out if you can before buying them, if a friend has it or its available to try out at a nearby electronic store. Unfortunately i didn't i have any such opportunity to try it out before purchasing, otherwise i might have bought something else, probably the sennheiser cx275.

Excellent value earbuds
Very happy with the E10C so far! Much better bass response than I expected from a tiny earbud. Nice quality build, the cable is thin but lightweight and feels durable. Remote works very well for volume, music pausing and track changing, Google Assistant, all on my android (G6) and the mic sounds surprisingly good. Would like if there was a bit more treble in the sound. Would certainly recommend this product to family and friends. Sound profile is based focused but still has good details. Nice formthe gym but not a critical listening earbud. Good consumer style enjoyment audio. Better than other earbuds in the price range I have tried. Also better than my Shure SE 315 for general listening and the gym. Sounds very good with rap/hiphop, and bass heavy music. Good with indie and acoustic music, not as good with rock and metal.

Great headphones made better by the price
I bought these to replace a pair of Bose in ear headphones. The Bose cost £120 if I remember and I have been very happy with them, they still work but the silicone wire has started to split and crack all over- still, not bad for 6 odd years of use. I like quality over cheapness & having heard some pretty poor cheap earphones I was doubtful but the Stuff and T3 reviews together with Amazon reviews made me take a chance. They come with a semi hard case with a choice of different tips, a PC split adapter and a 'phone adapter ' that I really don't understand- it's basically a socket with a plug straight on it Anyway, comparing to my Bose I am impressed. My go to tracks for speaker/ headphone testing (as recommended in an audio shop) are Don't Stop - Michael Jackson, Higher Ground- red hot chilli peppers, Thunderstruck-AC/DC and I pick a random electronica track The Soundmagic are everything the Bose are but I would say with a little more brightness to the higher sounds. Bass is strong but not too much, I would say that the quality I hear is probably helped by the tight fit into my ears. I wore them for a couple of hours comfortably when I know I would be pushing the Bose back in repeatedly What I would say is that the fatter wires on the Bose gave more of a quality feel and the more PVC feel of the SM wire means you can 'feel' it rubbing on your clothes a bit through the headphones as you listen. Having said that the silicone wire of Bose failed so maybe this is more tough. The remote is a bit fiddly though and on the left ear. For a third of the price of some brands I can't see how you could be disappointed, there really is very little wrong with them acoustically. If I was being fussy maybe knock a star off for the slightly cheaper feel compared to my Bose but at this price I think the performance overcomes any slight criticism. I will just have to see how they last
