Lure slugs with beer
Getting slugs to drown themselves in beer is an ancient gardener's ruse. These plastic bags might make it a bit easier. Each bag is a tetrahedron with two holes punched in it. You put the bag down on the soil, add some beer, and leave it to slugs to find their way in and die drunk. Later, retrieve the bag and drop it in the bin.

Worked really well
I have lots of Dalias growing in my garden and they really do attract slugs, my garden is full of them on a damp evening.I put some peroni in one and put it out on a cool set night and when I checked in the morning there were 4 slugs.I left the same one out again over night but no more went on so I wondered if it needed fresh beer. I put a fresh one out the following night but no slugs visited so as it's raining today I'm hoping they will get trapped again.I really do like this idea as no poison is used to harm my veg or animals.I won't show a photo as it looked like a dirty ashtray when left out on the rain...gross

Hit Or Miss?
Well if you've ever had an issue with slugs you'll try almost anything to save your plants. We've all heard about using beer in containers, so this seemed like the next step up. 20 packs, very easy to setup, a reasonable size, as long as your slugs aren't enormous. Filled with some cheap beer, and waited. First night had one diner, who sampled then departed? He didn't get far, but didn't stay within the pouch. Over the next few evenings the results versus just using means that cost nothing wasn't for me really worth it. In principal it's a great idea but any keen gardener knows how to set slug traps without having to spend on the traps. Works but not sure it's bringing anything being more effective to the table?4/5

No poison disposable slug traps.
Slugs are a menace in the garden and l have tried everything to discourage them from eating my flowers and plants to no avail. I will nots use pellets as they cause so much suffering but l am not sure this is much better - l just wish they would go away!!!These are a bit of a fad to use and dispose of but they are effective - just fill with beer and then dispose of after the slugs have used. Expensive but effective but not sure l can bring myself to use again but for keen gardeners these are well worth a try.

Easy to use. Effective
These are easy and simple slug and snail traps to use. Simply add your favourite (sorry, least favourite) beer and leave outside.Typically, there weren't any slugs around when I put this out, however we're plagued by them when it rains. We've used these before and they work fairly well, so I can already vouch for them. The only question though...how do you dispose of your slugs? The rubbish bin seems the only logical solution. These seem a safer and easier way to get rid of slugs than using pellets or salt.Definitely a fairly humane way to get rid of garden pests, especially if you grow your own veg. We've now had a few trapped in there, so theyre doing the job.

Transparent, triangular-shaped polythene-type bag 'traps' with 2 holes/EDITED
😢EDIT: To test out properly, we put one out in the veg garden, after the rain, where silvery trails had been evident and, sadly, trapped a baby frog, so have abandoned this method.😢ooOooI know that this type of procedure works in the garden, with the inebriated slugs not able to shimmy back out of e.g. a pot again, but I am having to use INDOORS, so am hopeful that I only need one of the 20 bags supplied! It is always hard to persuade 'Other Half' that this is good use of a small measure of prized Italian beer. Why not use ‘my’ cider? (What?)Hmm, it clearly states 'beer' on the instruction leaflet, dear...(image below refers)'How to use:~ Place the trap in the desired area, pour in some beer & wait for the slugs!'So we wait to see if a wee-small-hour-bash is what the little blighters prefer rather than whatever it is they get up to before swirling their silvery trails off into the moonlight. It is unlikely that I will share an image if we do...it is generally not a pretty sight. The only worry I have is whether the 2 x 3 cm diameter holes are big enough to let them in.There are some rather large ones around here...usually loitering with intent around midnight, in or near my kohl rabi bed! However, I am not sure how to dispose of the relatively thick bags, should we get 'a catch'?Vacuum-packed in a cardboard sleeve, the 20 popped through the letterbox.
