Worth it for tough chewers.
So far this is the most durable ball I've ever purchased for my dog. The led doesn't stay on terribly long but my dog finds it in the dark very well. It's supposed to glow in the dark, it does but it is very faint

It must have an a great stocking stuffer
This is better than Chuck balls I buy this for my high-drive., Belgian malinois for nighttime play, and she loves it! Just a tip you will probably want to wear some type of a glove because the ball gets slick from saliva, nor does it fit easily into any of the Chuck type ball throwers I rinse it off at the end of playtime and put it away for the next time. these are extremely sturdy hold up to a lot of chewing because sometimes my dog likes to chew the ball as it lights up with impact and she likes that. excellent brand and a reliable product. I would put this in my dogs, Christmas stocking and have it on automatic re-order 4 times a year.

Stopped working in less than an hour of arriving
like many others reviewers have said, the ball did not even last a day. My dog loved it for the maybe three throws it lit up for. Then it started only flashing in green instead of all the colors, within a throw or two more it stopped lighting up at all. Would be a cool product if it didn't fail so quickly. I also didn't realize the batteries were not replaceable, honestly would have gone with another brand had I known. The ball itself is glow in the dark though, so at least there's that.

Not water resistant. LED and glow in the dark
Has a build in led that lights up and charges the glow in the dark rubber. But the LED inside is not water resistant, I can see rust forming on the batteries so I don’t expect this to last long if it keeps getting wet. If they could seal the LED better this would be a great dog toy.

STROBE: Favorite Ball, durable, decent battery life
*Update since Outward Hound redesign: The new version doesn't seem to light up as consistently on every bounce and seems to light up in a more seizure inducing way (I'm sorry I couldn't think of a better description). The light also seems to die much faster with the new version. The inner light and batter actually popped out its encasement in one ball after about 2 months of use, only by my Golden who doesn't chew particularly forcefully on it. I did notice right away and check regularly for damage, just putting that out there as a warning. It is still by far my dog's favorite ball. Original: This is my Golden Retriever's absolute favorite ball! Particularly the strobe light up ball but she's happy with any Planet Dog ball to the point that she looks at me for the "good ball" to fetch with if i try to have her play with a ball from a different company. Pros: by far my dog's favorite ball - good bounce, and good squish factor yet durable -larger size: safe for large dogs -lights up to see at night -decent battery life -rain does not affect battery Cons: -battery is not replaceable/ rechargeable (though I'm not sure it's an option without seriously altering the design) -regular glow (once battery is dead) is not great -only lights up on a bounce and shortly after that - If your dog bites down particularly forcefully it can displace the battery which typically kills it; if submerged in water (my dog tends to place it in her water bowl when she takes a break while fetching), it is reduces battery life, both make me worry about safety The ball always out lasts the lifespan of the battery for the light, I'd say we average about 1 month per ball while the light works with about 1 hour of use almost everyday. The ball does hold up to some of my dog's friends that are super chewers including one that is a Cane Corso. I don't let them sit and work at chewing it but they definitely squeeze it in their mouths with a good bit of force. My girl is happy to play with the ball even once the battery dies but I prefer to have the light so I can find the ball when needed. The glow color does glow when placed under a flashlight for a few minutes first but I find it doesn't glow as well or as long as other company's glow toys. My dog has a tendency to drown it in her water bowl to keep it nearby or rinse off any dirt and that definitely shortens the battery life but using it in the rain doesn't seem to affect the battery life I think this being my dog's favorite has to do with the good bounce and squeeze factor this ball has. I like that it's slightly bigger than a tennis ball so I'm comfortable with large dogs playing with it. It fits in the "large" chuck it ball launcher. I actually discovered this specific ball when another dog had it and my dog kept taking it instead of her other light up ball that she had played with happily for months.

His most favorite toy ever!
We head to the dog park as the sun sets most times so I figured this ball would add to the dog rave atmosphere of all the pups running around with their glow collars and keep my boy from losing his ball. Little did I know, he'd be the most popular pup in the park with this thing! Mori absolutely loves it! It's super helpful that the ball glows in the dark even when the lights aren't flashing. He ran himself silly playing fetch. And most of the his friends wanted in on it too...soooo many pups got super excited, joined in, stole it... it was a great evening. The ball is thick, flexible, and bouncy. He seems to really enjoy monching on it. Neither Mori nor a friend with an arm like Brady did any damage to the lights. He loves it so much he promptly came home and spent the next couple of hours bouncing it himself and asking for us to keep throwing it for him. Now he's curled up in bed with his new favorite toy. Win!

Inconsistent light-up function
I purchased this ball so we could play fetch with our pup after dark in case she has a ton of pent up energy near the end of the day. She loves her Orbee-Tuff diamond plate balls, so this was the obvious choice! Unfortunately, the ball only lights up if a specific spot on the ball is hit with great impact, and only blinks for a few moments. The description says "lights up with each hard bounce", but if it is thrown and the specific spot on the ball doesn't make impact with the ground, it does not light up. On top of that, because it requires so much force to light up, the smaller bounces after the initial impact does not light the ball even if it hits the right spot. We were also hoping it would stay lit for much longer. Not really useful for us now, but it's been used a few times and we can't return it. Bit of a let-down given how much we love their other products.

My dog's new favorite ball
My dog is ball obsessed, but not all balls are the same to her. She picks favorites, and this is her new favorite. We've had it for a few weeks now and she hasn't made a mark on it. She's rough on toys and tends to tear them apart, but this one has held up well. She loves that it lights up and I love that it doesn't squeak (haha). It also glows in the dark! It will even glow a little after the lights go off after I throw it. I haven't used it outside so I don't know how it would hold up there. It's a little heavy so I have to be careful when I throw it, but it's not so heavy that I worry about her catching it mid-air (which she loves to do!) like I have with some others. tl;dr - durable, lights up AND glows in the dark, my dog's new favorite toy.

My dog loves it!
I have had this about 2 weeks now and using it every day. I don’t see any undo signs of wear or tear. My dog loves this ball and I think she is attracted to the lights. With winter time, the lights are really convenient as the sun goes down early and her evening walks are always in the dark. The only downside is you cannot charge this or replace the battery - not so good for the environment when it eventually stops lighting up. UPDATE: after 4 months of almost daily use, the ball is still in good shape with no signs of undue wear or tear. The lights are still going but quite a bit dimmer - they went dim within a few weeks of use but steady since then

Fantastic ball but not light
The ball is fantastic and my dogs love it, but unfortunately the light doesn’t last very long. When the light did work it was very bright and very easy to find but unfortunately it only lasts a week
