I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase of the Grizzl-E Classic Level 2 EV Charger! The "dumb" charger -- meaning not the 'smart' charger is what I came to purchase after reading about the internet connectivity issues. This charger is simple, works great, looks great and I am very happy with this item. Easy Installation: The NEMA 14-50 plug makes setup a breeze – just plug it in, and you’re ready to go. No need for complicated wiring or professional installation unless you’re mounting it permanently. [yes, there should be a cover on the exterior NEMA outlet! - but that is between me and my electrician... separate from the grizzl-e itself,] Robust Build Quality: The metal case enclosure feels solid and built to last. It’s UL Certified, which gave me peace of mind about safety, and it performs beautifully outdoors, even in heavy rain. Super Fast Charging: With 40A output, my hybrid Jeep wrangler charges from zero to full in just over a couple hours. Weather-Resistant Design: This charger lives outside, and the fact that it’s designed to handle various weather conditions has proven true. I haven’t experienced any hiccups, even in wet conditions – this thing is a tank! It’s only been a week, but so far, so good. I had an electrician install a 220V outlet for the unit. The charger feels industrial-grade: solid metal enclosure, clean design, no flex or rattle. The included cable is long enough to reach our vehicle easily, which sounds minor but matters day to day. The only hiccup I’ve encountered was unplugging mid-charge. Doing so confused the car’s charging negotiation (“handshake”) and required a quick vehicle restart before charging could resume. Not a deal-breaker, just something to be aware of. Performance has been excellent. Our Volvo XC90 now charges in about four hours, compared to roughly twelve hours on our prior setup. For roughly half the price of many competing chargers, the Grizzl-E Classic delivers exactly what I wanted: simple, fast, and solid. Excellent bang for the buck.

I’m really impressed with the Grizzl-E Classic so far. The matte black metal enclosure looks sharp and durable, and installation was incredibly easy — just plug into the NEMA 14-50 outlet and go. Performance-wise, it’s already outshining the original Audi charger that came with the vehicle. Charging is noticeably faster, and the LED status light is simple and intuitive. One of the standout features for me was the long cable — much more convenient than expected — and the holster dock is cleverly designed. You can insert the charging end at an angle, and it clicks securely into place without fuss. Another major plus: it doesn’t overheat in the hot Colorado sun like my old charger used to. Even on scorching days, it runs cool and reliable. All in all, a great value for a tough, dependable Level 2 charger. Highly recommend if you're looking for a no-nonsense, high-performing unit that just works.

Love this charger. No frills, super heavy duty materials used for the charger connector and cable. The box itself is solid steel and doesn’t get hot even under max 40A load. It functions exactly like it’s supposed to; my Mustang Mach E Rally delivers about 8.8kW continuously, which is spot on with 220V x 40A. It’s significantly cheaper than a lot of other name brands and is basically impervious to the headaches the smart chargers have with constant disconnects and having to reboot to resume charging; just plug in and it goes. Any modern EV has the ability to set charge rates, times, current, charge percentage, etc within the car or connected app on their phone, so “smart” chargers are just redundant. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The plastic included hanger is ingenious; you can haphazardly push in the charger cable from any angle and it just snaps in place and stays there; no need to line it up just right at the perfect angle. If it ever dies, I’m buying another one.

Heavy duty, well built, solid device. Easy to plug in once you have a receptacle installed. Simple to use. Just plug in, let the vehicle accept and it charges quickly every time. I’m so glad I purchased this and not some of the others. The reviews are great. The device is solid, built in Canada. The customer service is responsive, pleasant and helpful. I don’t worry about intermittent failed charging issues or App issues. I have a smart car and all the data is available through my vehicles App. This simple, solid built device does what it’s designed to do, and does it well. The charging cord is heavy duty, yet flexible. Next day delivery was perfect. The top selling model recommended would have taken 5-10 days! I was picking up my new vehicle in 4 days And needed my electrician to find time to install and get the work inspected/approved. So happy I went with this charger.

Muy eficiente. No he tenido problemas. Funciona excelente con mitsubishi outlander phev 2026. Fácil de utilizar e instalar. Quise ajustar los amperes. Ya venia pre ajustado a 40a. Pero adentro hay unos interruptores para bajar el amperaje para bajarle intensidad. Se supone que es para exteriores pero aun así le puse un pequeño techito ya que mi garage es al aire libre con malla sombra. Todo muy bien

We use this charger for our PHEV Jeep 4xe, and it works perfectly! Our electrician did a great job installing it, and it is much better than the AC charger that the Jeep came supplied with. It charges the Jeep in about 2 hours, and is essentially in order to max out battery usage for local driving. The charger is very well made and is made in Canada - a decisive criteria in our purchase.
