I'm going to give it a 5 star rating for the quality at the price I paid. This is a decent drum kit suitable for beginners and is good enough for pros as well. Like some people stated the directions for putting it together were a little lacking but this old gramma got it done with only one part that I needed to look up on a video. I had 3 little boy helpers eagerly waiting for me to get it together which was a learning curve for them as well. I had them help out with the heads so that they will learn how the tuning is done. This set has a decent sound for starting out and the hardware is pretty sturdy! The drums are well made, and you can always upgrade with better heads and cymbals as you progress. I have this setup for a 9 yr old right now although I could easily adjust it for myself or the parents. I am super happy with this kit and am tickled pink that it will be enjoyed by the entire family. Those little guys are watching how to videos and practicing on their pillows when noise is prohibited! The silver color really looks nice too! Ideal for the whole family.

Many pieces that have to be put together. The cymbal quality is poor.

If you are looking for a cheap starter kit to practice/learn on, this is the one! Its the same as other lower end kits but half the price. Do yourself a favor and order some different heads because the ones that come with it sound awful and if you're tall like me maybe order a bigger seat.

The set looks good. However I am missing some pieces from the hi-hat brackets and stand. Unable to complete set without missing pieces.

These are great for a beginner drummer. My son is 7, and just started his lessons. These are great so far. Putting them together was frustrating as there are basically no instructions. However, we found a video on YouTube that had this exact model being put together which helped! We put a pillow in the bass drum to help dampen the sound. The sound overall is great for what you’re paying for. It’s not meant to be superior rockstar sound. The value of these seems to be great for us. My one complaint isn’t Amazon’s fault - it’s the manufacturer who allowed it to arrive in such a poor-condition box. It came with the drums and cymbals pictured, a seat, and pair of drum sticks.

Great quality! Perfect beginner set and you don't have to break the bank. All the hardware is over built and very strong. Cymbals and skins are okay for the level of play. Durable finish that doesn't look cheap. Overall can't go wrong for the price.

Paper instructions are not great, recommend watching a video.

Trying to return as a high hat does not function properly, as well as was ordered on mistake. And I am having a significant difficult difficulty trying to return it.
