I bought this camera because I was going to be going on an 8 to 10-hour hike in the mountains. So I specifically wanted a camera with a long battery life. After 8 to 10 hours using this camera it still had a full charge! The pictures were crystal clear and phenomenal. The video is easy to download. Now I bought three extra and I use them as dashboard and car cameras. I love the one in front because I run that one off of battery. With one click you can turn the camera on and immediately start recording. With regular driving it doesn't run out for about a week before I have to recharge it. And if I want I can grab it if I go somewhere and use it as a body cam. The camera in the back I actually attached using a USB cord and plugged it into the dash. It has a car mode where you can set it to turn on and off every time you start the car. So the camera that I have in the back that faces the rear I never have to worry about charging or doing anything with. As soon as I start the car it immediately turns on and then immediately turns off when I stop the car. These are great little cameras, same quality as those used by police departments. I'll start out by saying I'm not much of a technology guy and use computers and such as little as possible so purchasing a cam brand I'm not familiar with (unlike gopro etc) gave me some initial worries, that's for sure! Anyway, I decided to take the plunge! I was hoping this cam would come in handy for filming our outdoor videos (capturing short body shots/vehicle shots to paste into longer clips). We do a lot of deer hunting, bird watching, and fishing and like to document our adventures!.. My overall thoughts: Functionality: Camera functioned as intended. It's not chalk full of features you don't need and it seems to do anything I've asked of it! Durability: Honestly, I can't really attest to the durability of the cam at this point but I can say that in northern MN we've had reasonably warm temperatures causing tons of moisture and fog and I haven't noticed any effect to the cam/picture/lenses EASE of use: Notice i capitalized EASE.. camera operates seemlessly. No issues connecting, etc Video Quality: Video quality is on par with more expensive name brand cams!! Value: You tell me! Check out my review, compare the price to a gopro and mounts and you tell me what makes more sense to buy.. I can literally run a fleet of these for different angles, etc for the same price as a single big brand action cam. Overall: In all honesty, I'm a nearly 40yr old guy who isn't super versed in technology. I've been super please and even impressed in the functionality of this camera and the quality shots it produces. Give it a shot, I guarantee you won't regret it!!!

The item itself is very wonderful to have. My big brother and I mainly use these 2 clips (in the 1st picture) that came with the camera... What we have experienced is wonderful cause it provided us with video safety when we go out with these to record our safety... BUT: It would've been wonderful if there are more accessories that comes with the camera to put onto our body placement similar to how Police Officers have their body cam on them... Accessories needed: The 2nd and 3rd picture provided are just for example for what I myself am fond of due to my daily wear... It'll be nice to have a 360 turn like the 2nd picture, on the clips to allow us to mount/clip it onto our day to day casual wear and turn it up to have the camera view... If there's something like a magnetic clip like the 3rd picture, then we can magnet it onto our outfits and then clip the camera onto it... Also some accessories that'll allow us to clip onto our cross body pack or universal clip for multiple kinds of backpacks would also be wonderful to have...

This body cam is ok the only issue I had was with the attachment to clips. Like when I use it as a dash cam the camera always falls the dash cam clip does not click in place very well. But the camera quality is good the night vision is also really good. The screen is a bit small but when you connect the camera to a pc or laptop you can see the videos a bit better. The battery life is pretty ok on it. The audio quality is very over powering. Its great value for the money. I like the features it has like the alarm the flashlight the night vision.

This camera was a complete disappointment for me. I could not find any reliable way to connect it to either a PC or a Mac to download the videos. As a result, I was unable to access or share the recordings, which made the camera unusable for my needs, including preserving video for legal purposes. I also found the manufacturer's website and customer support to be unhelpful. I spent a significant amount of time trying to resolve the issue without success. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product. Before purchasing, I would suggest confirming that you can easily transfer videos to your computer and that the product meets your intended needs.

This is a nice camera. The night vision mode is excellent. The battery life is long. The one unforgivable thing about it is that it wants to write a date and time stamp and a camera ID number onto every frame of video. While you can configure what the camera ID number is, it must always be in the form of DSJ_XXXXXXX_XXXXXX, where you can choose characters for the Xs but the rest must stay the same. What's more, it's not even well rendered. I changed mine to "F***ING" and "STUPID" since that's how I feel about it, and the G doesn't even completely render as it gets overwritten with an underscore, which really rubs in just how f***ing stupid it is. It's really baffling that someone can make an otherwise fine product, but then make a mistake like this which makes it significantly less valuable. I was hoping that, when not using this as a body camera, I could use it to record other videos for other purposes. However, with that date/time/ID stamped on every video, what can I really do with it? It makes the camera completely useless for any purpose other than a body camera, which makes it significantly less valuable than it otherwise could be. Also the video memory cannot be removed. It's built into the camera. I guess the item description says as much but this is so odd that it should probably be in bold print because who honestly expects that a device doesn't simply use an SD card these days? One side-effect of this to keep in mind is that, if you have to return the camera for any reason, you must necessarily send back the storage medium as well. So don't use it to record anything confidential until you're absolutely positive you will not be returning the camera.

I want to start with saying if anyone gives this body camera a negative review, they must be crazy! I can understand if the delivery driver handled poorly and the camera came busted up or something like that but the camera itself is made of very high quality. It took me so long to find a decent body camera because there are so many, maybe too many to choose from. I took my chance with this one because most of the reviews were very positive. I have to say that I am highly in love with this body camera. The weight of the camera is not some light plastic crap that I bought a year ago. It is built so solid and it is the perfect size. They make it look huge in the picture but that is totally wrong. The user manual is very clear and easy to understand. You have to read the manual to learn how to use it because this camera is definitely the real deal. It comes with so many accessories and packed so nicely in a very nice black box. I'm going to keep this box to store the camera and the accessories. There's just too many good things to say about this camera. I just wish that it came with a protective case because I don't want anything to happen to new baby! I'll find something! This camera is definitely going to last for Years!!!

The quality of the image was exceptional for a bodyworn camera that lasted well over 8 hours. Easy to download and review files. The only minor issue was remembering which was the start/stop button while wearing, after a few trial and errors soon got the knack. Well worth the money, just wish I'd bought it before I went on holiday into the mountains.

I was finally able to mount this camera on a Linux system. It was initially not working and customer support thought it was because I was running Linux. It turned out the cable was defective. So 3 stars for customer support for incorrectly blaming Linux so fast.
