As good as they said it would be!
I bought this WiiM Ultra Streamer to act as a digital jukebox for my Yamaha rn600a receiver, CD S303 and B&W 606 S3 based system. The presentation of this WiiM streamer is impeccable and it comes with the necessary leads etc. to get going. Because the device is so popular there are so many support forums out there both official and unofficial. The build quality seems excellent with a wide variety of inputs and outputs, I use the optical output. The touchsceen is very good both in terms of clarity and sensitivity, it's so nice to see the album art. I've partnered my WiiiM Ultra with a 512GB Samsung Bar Plus USB stick - I chose this because of it's very low power drain and the fact that it's metal means it dissipates heat -the combination works flawlessly and I've added about 500 Cds so far. The WiiM app gives you plenty of control and is well designed, I like the fact you don't have to log in. Sound output is really authentic and you can opt for flat output or customise the sound via a built EQ - personally, I prefer to shape the sound with my Yamaha amp. Overall, this is a star product which for most users will deliver everything they could want at affordable price, whilst offering good quality sound. The only downside I can think of is the lack of support for Apple Airplay, if you can live without the latter this is a very (very) good buy build quality, usability and output are top notch at the price.

Extraordinary Streamer very aggressively priced.
This is our 3rd WiiM device, now joining a Mini and a Pro. The WiiM devices in general box well above their weight, offering a combination of connectivity, audio quality, stability, and functionality which far exceeds anything to be expected from the price point. The Ultra has built upon all that was on offer from the mid-range models and offers an extraordinary range of input and output formats, as well as the ability to stream, in the highest resolutions available from the more sound quality focussed streaming services such as Tidal and Qobuz, amongst many others. Currently, you could almost argue that we're under-utilising it as we've connected it to an external DAC via USB for the highest possible sound quality, but experimenting with the onboard DAC yielded great results which again belie the very low price. From the time of plugging it in, to listening to the streaming services of choice was only a few minutes thanks to the excellent application and intuitive interface. Whether using the app on phone or tablet, or indeed the onboard touchscreen, the unit is extremely responsive and offers nearly immediate action to any input. Personally, I don't use the touchscreen, preferring to operate the unit completely from the app, however the included remote control is quite handy, well lain out, and again, very intuitive to use. The only sidenote worthy of mention is that though the onboard WiFi connectivity is very quick and reliable, for best results at the highest resolutions I do suggest feeding the unit via ethernet for the utmost response and performance. It's very difficult to find fault in the WiiM Ultra at even 2-3X the price and I'd suggest sonically, that it'd be at home in nearly any hifi system.

The Swiss Army knife of hifi units
I have two of these: one in the office connected to a Naim Muso, and one in the lounge connected to an integrated amp (Cambridge Audio). This really is the Swiss Army Knife of Hifi units. It does so many things, with its built in DAC, USB outputs and inputs, enabling a flash drive to be connected, so many uses. The Wiim Ultra is a game-changer, in my opinion, in the hifi world, owing to its resonable price, features, high sound quality, and user-friendliness. The App is also excellent in its usability and has a lot of customisable features. And the screen is as bright as you want it, clear, and touch-screen, which for this price, is amazing. Works great as a streaming preamp, and USB playback from a connected solid-state drive is fast and of high quality for the price. If you're even slightly tempted to take the plunge, just do it -- you won't regret it. I don't think this can be beaten (at time of writing) for the features at this price. If you're in no rush, it's worth waiting for the price to drop at certain times of the year (sometimes by as much as £50 or so). Photo shows unit currently residing under my PC monitor.

Outstanding bit of kit, easy to set up and use with high quality sound
This is a well built and great looking little streaming DAC preamp. I have this paired with a WIIM Vibelink amp and has a Technics SL1500C as an input source. The build in phono pre-amp is decent, nice clear and rounded sound (not as harsh as I was led to believe it would be) with an excellent phone app to control things like source, display, volume, EQ and set-up. Comes with room correction which is a nice touch for an under £340 DAC. Love the multi function display and the connectivity is brilliant at the back, OK it lacks XLR but connected to the Vibelink via Coaxial and set to full bandwidth it sounds amazing out to a set of KEF Q350 bookshelf speakers. Highly recommended if you want compact yet powerful with great wireless and wired connectivity options.

Excellent Value, Great build quality and a pleasure to use.
I am very impressed with the WiiM Ultra. It came very well package with a full set of good quality audio cables. The build quality is very good. Made from aluminium all round except the bottom. The display is nice and clear. The setup process is easy, just connect the WiiM Ultra to power, download the app to your phone or tablet and follow the guide. The WiiM Ultra has a plethora of available streaming services but NOT Apple Music. It also has DNLA capability which worked on my system flawlessly. Sound quality is excellent with a host of EQ options and has built in room correction. These are just some of the features of this product. There are far too many to go into here. WiiM is also actively supporting the WiiM Ultra and releasing new features as well of correcting any bugs that might occur.

Sounds and facilities are amazing.
Got this for £80 less on a Prime Day deal. For £279 this is a bargain. Designed to plug in to an amp, this streamer is a Swiss army knife. It does everything I could want it to do. Compared to my Majority Fitzwilliam 2 the sound quality is much more detailed. I run a Musical Fidelity Pre-Amp, bi-amped in to a pair of Typhoons driving Acoustic Energy AE120 floor standers. You can tell the difference straight away, you notice things that weren't as prevalent. The Bluetooth quality is better as well. Clarity and precision very much become apparent. The app is easy to download and set up but it does have it's problems. I am still working through those. I think the problem is not with the streamer but is with the apps themselves. You can start playing music straight away but it takes a while to get used to having so much to play around with, The Wiim is very versatile and you could run your house off it if you were clever enough. I am still trying to get the voice activated remote to work but will eventually get it sorted. The buttons in the remote are very limited but the touchscreen is a doddle to use. You need to have a good internet signal. Otherwise the streamer may be a bit slower. Overall this bit of kit is a start performer. I still haven't tried a turntable yet. Originally at £349 this was a steal for £279. Still getting used to what it can do.

Very small written instructions
Instruction in box of little value. Minute lettering on internet instructions. It is a virtual plug in and play but RCA cables did not fit my audio unit properly. Fitted a coax cable and it worked. Fitted a pair of expensive RCA cables from another set-up and nearly blew the room with sound. Communication with sellers was excellent. Remote control, small black plastic thing with black buttons that has promptly disappeared. Bought a metal one that is more obvious for the controls. App is problematic for a pensioner. Sound is brilliant. Hard work but persevere it is worth it in the end. Mass of things it can do when figured out.

Outstanding for the price
Yeah, this is an outstanding streamer. Spotify lossless is my go to. This has opened up music clarity for me. Amazing seperation on a cheap setup. Wharfdale 9.1s and an old Cambridge amp. Stuffed with features that are nice to have and I won't really use to be honest. Can't speak highly enough. Notes. Heavier that I expected. Well made. Easy to setup. Takes a minute on switch on to warm up and connect. App is great. Yes I've had a g i n!

Well Built, Superb Sound for the money.
Amazing box of sonic delights. Well designed, easy to use and set up thanks to the highly intuitive Wiim App. Everything works as it should. If using a VPN disable it when setting up access to any NAS on a home network .The Phono stage is surprisingly good and works very well with my Rega P1 turntable. . Sound is detailed and persuasive. Streaming with Tidal Connect is a breeze and the Hi Res recordings sound terrific. Amazing value for money and a piece of equipment to please budget concious Hi Fi nerds .Highly recommended

Świetny ekosystem sterujący mediami w domu, baza do domowego systemu HIFI
