Behringer Perfect Pitch PP1 Eurorack Module

Works great- i bought two. My only complaint is that they could have included a modular-voltage-scaled envelope output (along with pitch and gate). But for the $$ this thing is great

The Behringer PP1 will *sort of* do pitch extraction but CV out jumps all around before and after it locks on.I tamed it somewhat with some compression and filtering on the input and Doepfer's A-119 envelope follower and A-171-2 slew limiter to block out the squawky pitches on the beginning and ends of notes.A quantizer could help keep it on tune, but any pitch bending would go away.It might be an interesting module for pitch-adjacent randomness, but Behringer should have added another $20 worth of circuitry to make it musically useful as its name implies.And then there is the problem of those panel colors. The cheap red paint combined with tiny silver(?!) text makes it unreadable in most light. How did that get approved by marketing? Just awful.Behringer Perfect Pitch PP1 -- Pitch? Sort of, sometimes.
