Auto Connect and boot to Pioneer radio
My car radio required a USB cable to connect the phone so I could use Android Auto. This was fine, but doing so cancelled teh bluetooth connection, meaning the phone wouldn't connect by BT if I wasn't using Android. This little gadget solves the problem, it connects to the Radio automatically, a Pioneer SPH-DA160DAB, and boots Android Auto on startup.

Doesn’t achieve the convenience I want
It does connect your phone to the car wirelessly, but it takes ages to connect, often comes up saying to unlock your phone and I usually have to fiddle with it every time I get in the car so I may as well just plug the phone into the cable. I want to be able to just get in the car and drive away while it connects itself. I have even updated the device but it has not improved it.

Good product, almost as good as OEM
Product works as described, easy to setup, boots up quickly when starting the car (only a couple of seconds slower than OEM wireless in my other car). Nicely packaged on arrival. Only slight issue is that it has randomly disconnected on a couple of occasions, but automatically reconnected with so no major issue.

will not work on a Skoda Octavia car

Performs poorly with IPhone 16 Pro Max
Do not buy if you have an iPhone 16 Pro Max. Unfortunately this used to be a great product but hasn’t worked properly since iOS 18 upwards with glitchy sound and laggy performance. There is no sign of a firmware update in sight (last update Oct 2024).
