HORACE Mattifying Face Moisturiser SPF30 for Men 75 ml

Having been a fan of this moisturiser for a while, I noticed some reviews referring to a change in formulation. I was initially hesitant, but bought another and thought I’d address that. It does appear that the formulation has changed. While it used to state 99% ingredients of natural origin, the tube that arrived now says 86%. From what I can see, the main difference is in the UV protection itself. The consistency of the moisturiser appears to be the same as the old formula for me. It goes on easily and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. There is a slight difference in scent, but it still smells neutral and clean. The mattifying effect is still good. There’s a slight shine visible under direct light, but I wouldn’t say it looks especially greasy. Overall, I’m still very happy with it. As always, it’s best practice to patch test new skincare products or formulas to make sure they’re right for you.

Does what it says. High coverage, not 50 SPF which would make it really good. Stays in place and matte not shiny.

Great moisturiser and even better sun cream that works

What can I say? I do love Horace products: As per this moisturiser it does works by mattifying the skin, but it doesn't "feel" like a moisturiser, it feels thick like the suncream you would smear all over your face while on holidays in Spain. That is not bad per se but it's "different". I do like it suppose to be a moisturiser with mattifying effect plus sun protection (as it should be) and despite being thick it does absorbs quickly. Also a little goes far so it doesn't feel heavy on the face. This is my morning moisturiser after the Horace salicylic serum. At night I use the Horace bio retinol followed by the Hirace moisturiser without sun protection. (All for obvious reasons) Best skincare routine I've ever had, money well spent, backed by science and endorsed by me.

Nearly finished my first full bottle and I am assured that I will never buy this moisturiser again. It is for all intents and purposes overpriced suncream. You cannot just write “It is not sticky and does not leave white marks” on the bottle (copied verbatim) and that makes it true. This product IS both of those things. You can feel the stickiness as soon as you try to rub it in and if you have any kind of facial hair you will literally feel the sticky residue in it all day. I have had multiple occasions where there have been streaks noticeable on my face hours later where other products would have either rubbed in properly in the first place or dried off without streaking. I have had no issues with the UV protection, and there is an immediate Matt finish which has lasted most of the day in my case but those are not good enough factors to make me come close to considering buying this again.

I have bought 3 tubes. The third time was of a completely different consistency and efficacy. For that reason I won't be buying this product from Amazon again but instead purchasing directly from the retailer.

Great product.

Combining a moisturiser with a mattifying cream that also protects the skin is a winning combination. This isnt greasy when it goes on and absorbs well. Does keep the face from getting shiny during the day without looking like i have make up on About time these creams were aimed at the male demographic
