Great product! It ran 42 hours non-stop to drain our in-ground swimming pool through 150 feet of 5/8" diameter discharge hose. It would have drained faster if I had used 3/4", 1" or 1.5" diameter discharge hose but, time not being of the essence, I opted to use the existing 5/8" garden hose I already have. I also felt that the longer continual pumping time would be a good test of the pump's durability under greater back-pressure from the restricted flow of the smaller diameter hose. I was not disappointed with its performance. It's a very good product with excellent value for the price, especially with its debris filtering and auto shut-off features.

This item was in expensive; I bought it for my son's turtle pond, he laughed at me and stated it was to powerfull would suck up the fish. I will not keep the item since we can not use it, but not due to any fault of its own

Easy to use and decent flow rate for the price. Lowered my pond that was overflowing very well (using 100 ft pool backwash hose).Lost a star because it would not pull suction in 2.5 to 3 inch deep flooded yard, and advertised to be good to 1.5 inches - had a little pressure to start filling the hose, but not enough suction to get much flow (put it in my pond afterwards to verify it was not clogged, and it was good)I like the screen because it will keep fish and stuff from getting sucked through. Cord is 16 ft, which is decent for most needs.

Works like it should! Pumps my swim spa to the front yard uphill!

We had a 1/2 full above ground pool to drain and this unit had high ratings, so took a chance and bought it. Am TOTALLY pleased!!Drained the pool quickly with no issues at all. The float shut-off is a terrific feature. I had to look up what this was when I un-boxed the item, and appreciated this pump's quality even more.Don't hesitate to buy this pump!I want to amend my previous review. The time I used the pump earlier--it worked like a charm. Well, this time, I had about 3 inches of water in that same pool that accumulated over the Winter. Placed the pump and ...nothing. When i detached the hose there was water coming out of the hose hook-up, but not enough power to pump out that little bit of water over the edge of the pool. Of course, I assured there no leaves or other debris blocking the intake. Very disappointed in this pump. Wish I could return it.

I've bought a few different pumps over the years and am very pleased with this one thus far. Had a lot of rainy the last week and set it up to drain down some of the water and it lowered the water level quickly. Now it's switched back to using as a fountain and it's pushing the water up 16 ft or so. I've had some that were lucky to give me 3 ft in the past so I'm very pleased with it.It came with couplers with various sizes and the 3/4 inch works perfectly for the garden hose size I'm using.It's been running a couple weeks so far and I'll update the review if I end up having issues. Fingers crossed that I can get a year out of it. As of now it's been a great purchase.Update - lasted about a month. Motor froze up. Took it apart to troubleshoot, rotor spins but the electric motor frozen up. Looks like corrosion might be the issue. Definitely doesn't do the trick if it can't remain submerged for any length of time. Changed review to 2 stars since it did have a good water flow capacity while it worked.

This pump does exactly what it promised. I'm using it to pump dirty pond/lake water through a filter to water my garden. It hasn't clogged up after pumping several thousand gallons. It was super fast however I do notice the drop in GPH as you raise the height of the pipe exit. Don't leave it in water, it's designed to do its job and be put up. Very good deal for this price. Don't expect it to do things outside of what it's intended for.

Bought it in November 2025; worked well about 3-4 hrs draining 2 ft of water out of the pool; Comes June 2026 and I needed to drain again some water to patch a crack in the line; it worked around half an hour and then stopped with 4 ft of water on top of it.

Bought in November to use this spring. Needed to empty the last 5 inches of above ground pool. It worked for about 2”, then completely failed. The water was clean of debris and clear. The whole purpose of the pump was to empty the last bit of water below the drain.Company says they have a 1 year warranty. It has proven impossible to reach them.Amazon return window is over. I am constantly redirected to trouble shooting page. I have followed the manual trouble shooting page and nothing has worked.Extremely frustrated by this and would like the company to reach out to me. I would love to improve this rating if they were to have some effective customer service. I have spent hours trying to contact them before leaving this negative review.Had to use a bucket to empty the rest of the water.

Bought to pump water from my backyard. Worked great for about 10 minutes.
