I am impressed with the build quality of this hub. It also handles 100w charging much better than my last one. It doesn't build up any heat when pushing power to a MacBook Pro. Data transfer is also lightning quick. The fact that it does all of this and works as an external drive is a major bonus. It even connects and acts as a fast drive for pro video on an iPhone.

I recently purchased a new laptop with only 2 USB connectors one of which was used to connect the power adapter, leaving the other to connect a single peripheral.With this, I can connect several peripherals. The most useful for me is the M2 SSD Docking Station. I have installed a Crucial P1 1 TB CT1000P1SSD8 Internal Solid State Drive-up to 2000 MB/s (3D NAND, NVMe, PCIe, M.2) into the docking station and it works faultlessly and does not overheat.I can also charge USB devices and the SD card slot is great for viewing my photos.For me, this 'all in one' does everything as advertised. I can recommend it and give it 5 stars.

---UPDATE--- 1 to 4 stars.I returned the product & ordered another one thinking/hoping it was a manufacturing dud. The second unit also has the same issues. Fiddling with various format/trim/etc options i realised that the device works as advertised ONLY if the drive is formatted to exFAT. If your a Mac person and prefer the superior APFS format everything written below holds. However if you dont care or are a PC person you wont mind it and would be good choice.---ORIGINAL REVIEW---On a M-cpu Mac, using a WD Black 1TB M.2 2280, formatted GPT/APFS, with nothing connected to the hub ports this device cannot copy files above ~350MB. It hangs in 'Estimating time remaining' , lots of times it never does get over this just hangs there (killed it at 10min). Then when at times it tries to copy it does so at extremely low speeds ( 6 minutes for 1GB file, instead of ~3-4 seconds). Everything under 350MB zooms as it should.The M.2 is a new ssd. Does not have the same issue when mounted within a PC. Tried multiple Mac thunderbolt ports with same fail. When the hub has a device connected to it nothing changes. The hub seems to work ok but for a nvme case its just useless. This hub transfers large files, and that is only sometimes, at the speed of a 15yr old USB stick...Also gets pretty warm.Sad as i thought the mix of nvme case plus usb3.2 hub made it a great package and the build quality seemes good.Being returned.

This is a really useful add-on for my Mac and Windows PCs. It has 3 USB-C ports (one with PD charging) and a USB-A port, as well as space for a high speed M2 SSD. In essence its an external drive with USB ports, but you could just use it to expand one USB-C port on your computer to 4 ports. You may as well put a SSD it as well though to give yourself a temporary external drive, or to move between computers. It is very high quality. The SSD cover is magnetic but fits very well and means outside is smooth and screw free. I love it!

Works great, i use it online all the time with two drives attached been a few months no issues.

Bought to connect to my Mac as a convenient backup drive, but unfortunately it doesn't stay connected long enough to complete a backup, and it overheats massively, and fairly swiftly the SSD isn't even recognised. Bit of a flawed design this unfortunately - nice idea but needs some venting and quality control...

A neat little unit and as its made from aluminium its both rugged and a good dissipater of heat from the drives. Simple to use and transfer speeds are good.Bad point - I cant seem to get the cloning option to work. The cloned drive has all the files but I get a read error when I try to boot from the cloned one so its pretty much useless.I gave it a three as this was a key feature of the drive.

Ich hatte noch einige alte Festplatten im Schrank – voller Fotos, Musik, Backups und dem einen oder anderen vergessenen Ordner aus grauer Vorzeit. Mit dieser Dockingstation konnte ich sie endlich schnell, unkompliziert und komplett werkzeuglos auslesen, sichern oder entsorgen.Einfach reinstecken – egal ob 2,5" oder 3,5" – und los geht’s. Keine Treiber, keine Installationsorgien. USB 3.0 sorgt für schnelle Datenübertragung, das Aluminiumgehäuse wirkt wertig, und das Ganze läuft angenehm leise. Auch größere Platten (bis 16 TB!) werden problemlos erkannt.Und das Highlight? Offline-Klonfunktion. Backup von Platte A auf Platte B – ganz ohne PC. Ein Knopfdruck, Licht blinkt, Klon läuft. Super für Systemumzüge oder wenn man eine SSD durch eine neue ersetzen will, ohne Betriebssystem neu aufzusetzen.Fazit: Für alle, die noch alte SATA-HDDs oder SSDs rumliegen haben: Kaufen, anschließen, retten, löschen oder klonen. Die Dockingstation macht ihren Job sauber, schnell und ohne Stress. Ein Must-have für jeden Datenarchäologen mit Ordnungssinn.

Provato con varie configurazioni sia su PC Win (7 e 10) sia su MAC (OSX 10.15 e 11) e nessuno degli HDD provati (WD e Seagate) vengono montati sul computer.Ho provato anche a cambiare il cavo ma senza alcun risultato.A questo punto non ho neanche perso tempo a provare il clone offline degli hard disk, anche se avesse funzionato non era sufficiente per dare un giudizio positivo.Forse sono stato sfortunato io a ricevere un articolo difettoso ma comunque non posso certo consigliarlo.Fatto il reso, Amazon come sempre perfetta! (provate a fare un reso nei negozi di elettronica, quante scuse che si inventano…)
