KAWASAKI KLR 650 TALL WINDSCREEN K46001-336

I tend to do more commuting than trail riding on my KLR 650. The factory windshield did very little to keep the wind off. This one is much better. At 6'2' my head is still up in the wind and bugs still hit my face shield, but it's much better than the factory one. I might get one of the touring ones later on depending on how the street to off road balances out, but for now I'm really happy. You're still going to feel some wind if you are tall, but it was well worth the $75.

I ride a 09' KLR with an oem windscreen. I'm a slim 160 pound 6'0 rider. My jacket is a Tourmaster Epic, and helmet is an Arai Signet Q. The wind was hitting me pretty hard at any speed above 20mph. After i installed this windscreen i was very happy with my purchase. It reduced the wind blast to almost nil. I would say a good 85% reduction in buffeting from head on wind. The windscreen bolts on using the factory mounting hardware. No need to drill anything. All you need is a screwdriver. For the price and easy installation i think its a great deal. After a few hundred miles more ill do a follow up review to confirm my initial thoughts. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Looks great, works pretty well. My only complaint is that it didn’t come with the well nuts.

I'm 5' 11", and this windshield works perfect for this height. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized how quiet the wind had become, and how well I could hear my engine while cruising on the freeway. I don't wrench very often, and this windshield was extremely easy to install. Before I purchased the windshield, I read another review claiming extreme vibration - I found that not to be the case.

Easy to install, but i was upset that it did not come with new bolts to mount it. I guess it wasn't a big deal though, this let me buy bolts off Amazon that were the same color as my bike, so it looks much better now. This winsdscreen does a great job of keeping the wind off of the body and for an average height person the wind will go right over the helmet. It does wobble a bit at higher speeds, but I assume that is to be expected for a windscreen as tall as this one.

Excellent quality and fit. Rode 4 hours at highway speeds immediately after installing. Noticable reduction in wind noise and buffetting.

It went right into place with no hassel and helps move the wind off of me.

Good quality DOT approved windshield.Does a great job of deflecting wind, rocks, bugs, and rain. Wind is deflected just to the top of my helmet (just about ideal for my height).This is not a replacement windshield, but an add on. There are no threaded bosses in this one. You have to mount it in front of the stock windshield with the screws going through this one into the threads on the stock one. Doesn't look as nice as I'd hoped with the two shields in place. This also covers up the Kawasaki logo on the stock shield underneath.
