LVYUAN 12V 20amp Battery Charger

I got this battery charger to use in am emergency if the car battery should die. I didn’t even realize until I received it that it also repairs batteries. Since I’m a little freaked out by battery chargers, I’m grateful it has so many safety features and will auto-shutoff if it gets overheated or runs for more than 24 hours (for repair mode, too). The casing is plastic but it seems sturdy enough. I like that it is “smart” and checks different things and can repair if it won’t charge. Makes me feel confident I can use this when my husband is gone should the need arise. If it doesn’t, I’m sure we will have plenty of people borrowing it and we are happy to share this great charger.

The instructions are in good English and are quite clear. It doesn't matter if your battery is in your car (unless you have a significant electrical leak perhaps) or out. You don't have to be competent in electronics or auto repair to follow these directions. I am trying to revive some very old dead batteries, and for that there's a special "recondition" cycle that tries to break the crust off the conductors. Those that can be saved will be. Those that cannot will be recycled according to state law, and they become the problem of my nearest gas station. I've needed one of these for some time.

Works great with 10 amp charging. Reconditioning failed on old battery.
