myQ Smart Garage Door Video Keypad The product worked great but the issue is the battery. Life expectancy was less than 30 days when you’re using all the features. It does put a lot of drawer on the battery, but I came across this product and there’s many of them out there of clones, but I wanted to stick with the MQ so I purchased it very simple to do Just takes a few minutes couple little holes and I would say within 20 minutes you got up and running I’ve not been using this now for about 45 days. Let me tell you it’s so nice not worrying about the battery. It’s always fully charged and I have to say go for it if you use this product it’s so nice not worry about the battery. I highly recommend it.

This solved a problem. I had to recharge the battery on the keypad almost weekly. It was a little expensive, but worth it to make the pain go away. It was easy to setup, and I just have the cable under the garage door which works. I makes the camera and keypad more reliable which is what I needed. Just a standard power cord so was easy to use with an extension cord.

Great, no more charging

Great upgrade, it does save you the headache of not being able to open the garage because of dead battery and not having your phone on hand. Easy to install and route cable. However, I do wish they would send caps to cover the holes where it screws on the the garage frame. Or even like a grommet where you route the cable if having it come through the wall and directly through the bracket. Insects can camp in there over night. You can use a foam sealer or caulk but caps would have been easier. Also, the screw that holds the door opener to the bracket. I wish it would have been a security torx bolt or something of that nature as opposed to a thumb twist screw. Making it a bit harder for someone to take it. I mean it won’t completely deter thieves from taking it but make it a minute harder to take 🤣. Otherwise, it serves its purpose of keeping the opener powered.

Works great. Easy to set a passcode. Great video quality. Super easy to set up. Took about 10 min. No connectivity issues. Mounts easily. I was already using the app so this just added another monitor I can view. Purchased the hardwire kit so I don’t have to worry about battery life.

I watched some YouTubes on how to install the MyQ smart garage door video wired kit. It was easy to install. The tilted garage holder allowed you to set it to a better coverage of your driveway. It took me about 45 minutes as I installed it and ran the wires along my garage rail and my shoulder cuff needs replacement so I choose this route temporarily. The wired power adapter worked great when I plugged it in the electrical outlet next to the garage opener. I will reroute it in the spring but this will do in the cold weather this winter. The wire is thin so it’s easy to thread under the vinyl siding or eave overhang over the garage. This was the best lower price I had seen for this wired kit. The wired kit allowed me to set up all the notifications in the app. The battery was draining to fast so I like this wired kit much better.

Was so tired of pulling the battery and recharging the keypad. only took me about fifteen minutes of installation to run the wire to a power source highly recommend.

Doing weekly battery maintenance is a real pain, and this kit is less expensive than getting a 2nd battery. The batteries require a MICRO USB cable which is ridiculous deprecated technology. It was very easy to install and run the plug up to the door opener. The 25' was barely long enough for me, I only have about 2' left over. Make sure you measure before ordering, but worst case you need an extension cord. I did notice there is an aftermarket 30' option. I did not need to drill any holes, as I had some molding on the garage frame that I ran it behind. I just pried the molding out about half an inch and pushed the wire through behind the molding. EZPZ. You will need a "PRECISION" phillips head screwdriver, that's a little one like for eyeglasses, to adjust the swivel angle and connect the wires.

Very good for owners of myQ battery operated keypad. Installation very simple, and I like that is wired and I don’t need charge battery every week. Item arrived quickly and everything was included as per seller description. Recommend it .

Love that I no longer need to keep charging the battery

This kit is great in order to never worry about any batteries having to be changed. Simple to install and I love how you adjust the angle to it. I say a must have.

The actual item is great and the cord was more than long enough for my garage. I have never used the opener without being wired using this, but it's nice to not have to worry about charging the battery. That said, the price of this is high. I paid quite a bit less for the keypad itself and originally assumed, since this was priced about $40 more, that it also included it. I'm keeping it as that was my mistake and I'm happy to have it, but this feels a bit overpriced to me still.
