Great filter for the hose
I use this for my koi pond and it is the best that we have tried.

Great filter, just don't try to overtighten on faucet
Update: I am changing my previous review from two stars to five. Even though I had a problem with one of my filters breaking when I was trying to attach it to a hose faucet, I do think it is a great filter. Due to a filter reaching the end of its expected lifespan, I ordered a replacement and one additional filter. I got them both attached to faucets without any problem. Our water is so alkaline and full of chlorine, it makes a huge difference to the plants in my garden when I use these filters. Just make sure you remove them before a freeze. Freezing water will break your filter. I had previously purchased one of these filters (which I was happy with) and now needed another for watering a new garden area. I just tried to install the new filter, and it snapped at the neck -- just like it did for another reviewer from May 2019. I don't have much hand strength, so this one must have had the same defect as the one received by that previous reviewer. I have started the return/replacement process through Amazon, but I am not happy about having to wait another ten days to get the replacement. I hope the replacement doesn't have the same defect.

The real deal for chloramine reduction
Having gone through multiple other hose-end chloramine filters, this is by far the most effective out of all units I have tested. It is also the most expensive, but well worth it if you need satisfactory total chlorine reduction. Using my Hanna Checker, I was able to reduce total chlorine by ~97% at a flow rate of 1.5 gallons/hr, which far surpasses the 50% Iโve seen in other units I have tested and at 3x the recommended flow rate of the unit (0.5 gallons/hr).

Worked for me
Moved into a 7 year old house with a pool. The pool water hadn't been drained and replenished since the pool was first fill 7 years ago. Wanted my own water. Drained and cleansed the pool. New filters. The city water supply at the house is hard (minerals) and heavily treated (processed, chemically sanitized). I wanted to filter the 10,000 gallons of city water going into the pool...nothing crazy just clean it up with a hose end filter, a good one. I found it. The Boogie Blue Plus worked well. The flow rate wasn't great and it took 5 days to fill the pool. I was patient and tested the city water going into and out of it a few times (just for fun of it while on pandemic isolation at home). First, I used 6-way test strips. Findings indicated the filtered water averaged 1/2 the total solids and hardness. Gladly surprising to me. The source water is alkaline at pH 8.1 and the filtered water was pH 7.9. I like it. Total chlorine was detected in the city water but not in water coming out of the filter. Chloramine reduction? I hope. I am a chemist and my lab has a conductivity tester. Overall, throughout the 6-day pool fill, the filtered water had about half the conductivity of the city water flowing into it. That agrees with the reduction of total solids and other crap dissolved in the water. The pool is filled and the water looks crystal clear. The water feels soft and silky compared to the old concentrated water...and I am confident an improvement over city water. I'm guessing the filter I used for the pool fill is exhausted and it's likely I'll get a new one of these for topping off the water as it evaporates.

Good for DOG washing
I was looking for a GOOD hose filter for bathing my 120 lb Great Pyrenese with terrible skin allergies/yeast infection requiring a bath every 2-3 days each bath is 3 steps so I end up bathing him 9 times a week. My requirements were CLEAN water and Decent flow understanding flow will be significantly reduced. I was PLEASANTLY surprised when I installed it between 50ft hose and 25ft hose with slight uphill after running for about 5 minutes for initial filter flush filled a 5 gallon bucket in 1minute 10 seconds so about 4.5 GPM. It has helped releive his skin and coat.I bought it specically for dog washing and I am Impressed after using it I was expecting less flow but turned outto be just right on ordinary nozzle I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it and I was expecting to be dissapointed and I didnt like the price (about 2x of others).

Bad filter! Donโt recommend!
Iโm not sure how you can sell a product that immediately tests high for chlorine on test strips. I used this to fill my above ground pond and two bait fish died quickly. I tested the water and it was the highest amount of chlorine on the test strip. Claims filters 99% chlorine and 87% chloromine but to register the highest on a test strip is bad. I donโt recommend for plants or a pond.

Best Filter You Will Ever Buy
Hey everyone, great product and it's American made :) Some background, I have been using these for a couple of years now. I use them for my Koi ponds, in my gardens, and for my camper. I live in Florida, so I am using my garden and Koi pond filters daily. My RV is in a semi-permanent spot and we use it two to three weekends a month, and a few two-week stays a year. Our city water comes from north Florida's JEA. Let me tell you, this water is the worst I have seen in my entire life. The chemical smells and the amount of chlorine in it is awful. What it does to fixtures is frightening; we have to change toilet guts at least yearly, faucets every few years, and what it does to garden hose connections outside looks like acid damage. These filters (Boogie Blue's) eliminate all the crap from the water. No bull here. They outlast the standard filters 10 to 1. And not just for Chorine, my camper gets 100% well water. Do you want to talk about some rotten egg-smelling water from the sulfur? WOW is the only word I can use. But once again, I have a Boogie Blue that lasts about 12 to 18 months, and ABSOLUTELY NO sulfur smell. Unless you enjoy wasting money and having to replace filters every couple of weeks, then this is a no-brainer for it is one of the best products I have ever used. BUY ONE AND JUST TRY IT - YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

Rapid delivery, easy to fit
Some reviewers said there was a leak from the tap but I used PTFE tape which resolved this easily. I'll edit this after I've used it this season but happy with the rapid delivery and it was easy to fit.

CRACKED while hand tightening during initial installation.
I usually buy the cheaper version (without any problems) but thought I'd go with the Boogie Blue brand this year. As I was snugging it up with one hand to stop a drip that was occurring when I first installed it and it CRACKED the case! Paid top price (triple the cost of the others I normally use) for something that is totally useless now. I let them know and they said there is nothing they can do because it broke while it was in use! Very disappointed. Because the crack didn't cause a leak I tried to use it and there was almost no flow! A sprinkler with their lousy filter - 8" - without the filter 12 feet! The worst purchase I've ever made on Amazon. Way to go Boogie Brew and TD.
