Charges with a C-adaptor and holds the charge for hours of play. First used it at a teen party and it worked well. The sound is great for a small speaker & 30 watts. We used it a 20x40 foot room and the kids loved it. The microphones are very light and using two AA batteries. I love that everything is portable and you don't need an additional power source. Well worth the money!

Great sound! It does everything I need. The only disappointment is the shoulder strap. Both sides broke pretty quick and made the speaker fall to the floor. It still works though.

It worked for 2 weeks then the microphone no longer made any noise.
