Very cool model but read below please.
I purchased this on February 9th, 2025. I gave it 5 stars because I can't give it 4.5 stars. Just finished today with my brother who lives an hour away and only built it with him. I build a lot of models...plastic, wood, metal, you name it. The half star loss would be because when I received it and started to work it, it smelled REALLY EXTREMELY BAD of production chemicals, bad enough it burned my eyes and really agitated my sinuses. I set the pieces out in my unfinished basement for about 2-3 weeks to let them air out. A lot of pieces are really tiny; it can be frustrating. A LOT of the details you build with it, and there is a tremendous amount of detail in this build, in the beginning get lost in later detail. That is the bad. The good is this is such a detailed, warm model that is well manufactured, cut, imaginative and creative. It is beautiful and so full of really cool detail! The pieces fit together 98% perfectly, well-engineered, measured and cut in good, solid pieces of material that are easily identifiable with the added illustrations of what is what. The smaller pieces can be difficult, the tweezers (included) were immensely helpful; the dinosaur skeleton was a pain in the tookas and had problems with it throughout the build, my "T-Rex" was half wood, half plastic. They include duplicates of the more prone to breaking parts, thumbs up on that. Majority of the "books" were a small piece of wood with a sticker to apply and fold over it, maybe 200 of them? So cool though! Some stickers were of actual books, there was Harry Potter, Phantom of the Opera and so many more to display as you see fit in certain areas. I recommend a lighted magnifying glass and/or a magnifying headset...some of the fittings are literally a millimeter. The small glass Earth globe is beautiful and amazing. Just an enjoyable model to proudly put on your bookshelf or wherever you can safely put it. It is a TEDIUS build. Expect to put some real time into the build and (I think) visitors will really enjoy looking at it because there is SOOO much to look at. The lighting is good. No missing pieces, extras left over. I was frustrated with some of the build but overall...it was enjoyable and viewing it after completion is even more enjoyable. Have fun!

10/10 LOOK AT IMAGE I SHARED FOR WIRE HELP!!
So cool and a fun build. This is my 12th book nook style build, even though this one is a bit different compared to standard vertical book nooks. Visually, I expected the build to be more difficult so I wouldn’t say it requires too much experience. Definitely not beginner based on number of pieces and intricacy, but I think if you’ve done 2 or 3 before you’ll be fine. Assembly was pretty straight forward and did not require a lot of gluing which was nice. Instructions were also clear, I had no trouble understanding. No missing parts, actually a few extras. 20 hours to build was mentioned, but this took me about 12 hours spanned in two sessions. Not bad for the final result!! I would suggest differentiating the wires (which length goes to which color) BEFORE getting to the final step of using them. They are very easy to tell which is which if you hold them straight and write down which color is largest to smallest, you don’t need to actually measure if you do it before installation begins. Once installing, it would’ve been more difficult. Wire installation is at the end except the beginning wire and it is WAY easier than any book nook I’ve ever done. ⭐️ I attached an image of the wire lengths and matching colors, so hope that helps in building (assuming everyone receives the same wires and colors). ⭐️ Had no problems with durability. They give you two dinosaur bodies, it is easily the most fragile, and really only fragile portion of the build. I broke both lol. Nothing a small amount of hot glue couldn’t fix, I don’t think you can even tell. But I do appreciate that they give extras for delicate parts. Once it came time to start building books (you wrap a sticker around a wooden rectangle) it is super easy but you need A LOT. I took 30 minutes then and there to build almost all of them which saved a lot of time rather than returning to build books every other step. SUPER RECOMMEND. I’ve done easy and complicated ones before, and this is by far the coolest.

Worth it :)
Beautiful printed wood pieces, durable. Easy instructions. Stickers for the books! I’m almost done with it, but I felt I needed to let others know this is a very well put together kit. Definitely one of my favorite ones I’ve put together:)

Did you love dioramas as a kid? Then this is for you!
I really enjoyed the intricacies of this project! Everything came out really beautifully! The instructions were clear, the quality is good, and once it was lit up, I was thrilled with the final look. I put on my favorite podcasts and dug into it. The only critiques I have is that I wish they had added extras for the little ladders. I ended up glue repairing one of them, and using some acrylic paint to touch it up. The second one went much better. I really liked the glue this one had. It worked really well. There were no missing pieces. The little book covers were extra neat. Saw a few books that I've enjoyed reading over the years. One of the makers seems to be obsessed with Ernest Hemingway. There was a few spots that seemed to not line up well, but once everything was secured I couldn't have told you where. I have a feeling this will be one of my favorites as I continue collecting them.

Fun first build, some fragile pieces
This was my very first miniature set I’d ever done so it was a learning curve. The instructions were straight forward. I didn’t like that some of the pieces were pretty fragile, broke, in which I did end up having to super glue them back before I could continue. I think this would be good for older kids as it’s delicate work. I was happy with the finished product overall. The light works well and it’s easy to change the battery out. It was a very satisfying build that holds up well after finished.

Really cute book nook with well explained instructions
This is an intimidating book nook that has a lot of parts however thankfully, the instructions were very easy to follow and clear and the parts were clearly labeled so that makes it manageable. It does take some time to get this all set up but once you get in the flow of things the whole experience is rather positive and calming and makes it a very nice activity to share with the kids or with that significant other. I like the fact that this one comes in different designs so you can collect an entire set. The parts seem to fit well enough. The included glue seems to be sufficient at least in my experience and this is something that I enjoyed working on.

Great fun!
This is a wonderful kit with the most amazing details! This is not for the beginner or faint of heart. It requires much patience but the reward is great. The T-Rex took a long time and required some fine sanding between the plastic “bones” to get them to fit. Then I applied a spot of glue to hold them in place before attempting to add the next one. The steps were another challenge

I want 15 more of these, please
This is the best DIY booknook kit I have EVER done, and I’ve done quite a few. It is worth the investment!! It took me just under 6 hours to complete and the quality is off the charts good. It’s extremely well made and durable, and pleasing to look at. If I could afford all the ones this company sells, I would purchase them all!

Beautiful build which definitely needs the included glue
What a beautiful product. This is the third book nook I've built, the first one of this brand. If I rated it on the beautifully elegant laser cut elements alone I would give it 5 stars. You have to be careful though. Some of the elements are so delicate that they could easily break. Be prepared to proceed slowly and with care. The kit lost a star because of the inconsistency of the fit of the various pieces. Many of the internal structural pieces fit so loosely that I ended up glueing them. If someone bumped the table they were in danger of collapsing. Most of the furniture pieces fit snuggly but a few of those required glue for stability as well. The outer shell fits together very snuggly which was something of a relief when I got there. Thankfully this kit does include glue. Despite these annoyances I would definitely purchase this item again.
