Firestone RubberGard EPDM Rubber Roofing Membrane 60 Mil, 15 ft x 20 ft

Used this to redo my sunroom roof. Great quality and took 2 of us to get it onto the roof. Very heavy as you would expect. I know this roof will last longer than me.

Arrived quickly and my contractor was very pleased with the quality. I was pleased by the lower cost than purchasing locally and so happy to have the rubber roof over my dining room replaced.

Received the rubber roofing sooner than expected and it's quality material. Insurance is making us build a deck with rails around an upstairs door that leads out to the roof of our 4 season room. We realized we needed to add a second layer of rubber roofing. We chose this item as it would more than cover the roof in one piece. I can say it's good quality rubber and it installed easily. The box arrived opened but it could have just been the heat as it'd consistently been in the 90's when we got it and it is heavy like 120 lbs. The rubber itself was in perfect condition and the edges were clean. I was worried that the edges would be wavy as this likely was cut from a large roll but it was cut well. we didn't measure it to verify it exactly measured 15' x 20' but I always order stuff like this bigger than I need so I can trim to fit.

Do you want to make your under deck side water free? I installed this EPDM under my deck floorboards to keep the underneath dry. It works great! I cut a triangular piece to run between each pair of floor joists with the larger end running into a gutter on the inside of the deck footer. Overlap the pieces on each joist. Don't forget the proper flashing at the ledger board. This is the second deck I have used this product on. The first deck lasted 10 years without a leak. (I had to redo the deck because it was damaged in a storm). This product is heavy! It can be hard to work with by yourself, so find a helper. Cutting it is easy with a sharp utility knife, straight edge and a backer board to keep the sheet flat while you cut it. It staples well to deck joists using 1/2" galvanized staples. I used a roof bonding sealant prior to stapling in between the overlapped pieces.

The roofing came well packaged (rolled, boxed, wrapped, and on a mini pallet) and undamaged. We used the mule hide adhesive and had no problems. We did a 11’x29’ flat roof with the 15’x30’ piece and had more than enough to work with. It comes in one piece, factory glued approximately every 4’. The seams all looked perfect. Very happy with this purchase, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again for another project.

Heavy duty as expected

Pretty straightforward. No holes, cuts, or tears. Used for a flat roof as this was the previous item used on the roof and it lasted 15 years plus. The item came in the specified size although by no means were the dimensions cut perfectly straight.
