Daylite Shoulder Sling Bag, Black OS

Cannot say enough good about this bag. It is the perfect size. It's truly a small-medium purse size. The phone pocket on the strap is wonderful - it is stretchy to accommodate for different phone sizes. You can hook the strap to either side of the bottom of the bag to hang it over whichever shoulder you prefer. It is the quality you'd expect from Osprey - thick, sturdy canvas material. I haven't washed it yet, but I believe it will hold up well to washing. It's pretty good for organizing. The main pocket has a mesh pocket against the back, and a zippered mesh pocket against the front with a key clip. The front section is open with no extra pockets within. It was slightly on sale when I bought it ($44) and I would definitely buy again for that price.... even the $50 normal price is worth it. I don't remember the name of the color, but I got the light green with leaf pattern - very subtle, clean. I got this for a vacation in the city where we expected to do a lot of walking and I was not going to carry everything for everyone. This bag was perfect for walking around all day with plenty of space for the essentials - and small enough that I could actually say "I don't have room to carry your stuff."

I picked up the Osprey Daylite Sling recently, and it has quickly become my go-to bag for daily errands and short trips. Here is my breakdown:Comfort:This is where the bag really shines. The strap is anatomically shaped and breathable, so it sits securely on my back without sliding around. I love that the strap is ambidextrous- you can clip it to the left or right side, which is a lifesaver for switching shoulders during long days.Quality:As expected from Osprey, the build quality is top-notch. The fabric feels durable and abrasion-resistant, and the zippers are smooth and sturdy. It feels like a product that will last for years, not just a few months.Utility:Don't let the small size fool you. It holds way more than it looks like it would. The main compartment easily fits a water bottle, a Kindle/book, and a light layer. The front pocket has a nice mesh organizer and key clip, which keeps my phone, wallet, and keys from getting lost at the bottom.Pros:Super lightweight and barely noticeable when wearing it.Ambidextrous strap is a great feature.Organization is simple but effective.Cons:None so far, though keep in mind it's for essentials only (don't expect to fit a laptop).Verdict:If you need to empty your pockets but don't want to lug around a full-sized backpack, this is the perfect solution. Highly recommended!

This sling is well thought out. It doesn’t hold much, but that’s what it for. I can throw my phone, keys, wallet, sunglasses, sunscreen, and maybe a tech towel or rain jacket for running around the city, or riding a bike. It can be adjusted to wear over either shoulder, which is a big benefit in reality. I love all things Osprey, and this hits the mark for what it is. It’s made of a lightweight but heavy duty material that will hold up to the trail, two pockets with an admin pouch and zipper section. You get what you would expect from Osprey

Osprey quality is outstanding. I really liked this shoulder sling bag. It was very comfortable. It was spacious enough for keys, wallet, passport, small iPad, & compact umbrella. I also liked that you can switch which shoulder you carry over. It is definitely worth looking at if you’re considering a shoulder bag.

I love this sling bag and use it daily for my wallet, keys, phone, and other small essentials. It is smaller than I expected, but it still holds everything I need without feeling bulky. The design is convenient and comfortable for everyday use. I have noticed some minor pilling on the back, but it was easy to remove with a fabric defuzzer. Overall, it is a practical and well-designed bag that has become part of my daily routine.

This sling bag is almost perfect for carrying my OM System OM-5 camera together with some accessories, a cleaning kit, my wallet, sunglasses and a few more bits. I didn't want to advertise that I carry a camera by schlepping around a camera bag and the OM-5 is rugged enough to allow me to stash it in a bag with minimum padding. I still have enough space left inside for a sandwich, a compass or anything else I might need for a day trip or short hike, and this bag looks to be well made to last for a few years.

Quality seems decent. Design is somewhat questionable, if you load the bag with some weight, the pocket on the wider side of the strap ends up sliding up your shoulder and becomes hard to reach. The photos are misleading. In the photos the pocket I mentioned doesn't seem to exist, but other pockets that are not on the actual product are there. In at least one of the photos the strap is wider padded across the whole length where in other photos (and on the real product) only a short part of the strap is padded and the rest is just a thin strip.The most problematic for me is that the dimensions are misleading. The description gives them as 14.2H x 8.7W x 5.1D so I assumed that the bag would fit an object of approximately those dimensions. Definitely not the case. The width is given at the widest part of the bag and the width of the bag tapers off more than the photos seem to indicate. As a result my 12 inch tablet doesn't fit into it. Which makes it useless for me as the whole point was to use it for short trips to store the tablet and phones.

I was using a SCOTTeVEST for work trips but was finding that it is uncomfortable to wear in such small airplane seats with all the items I want to retain with me in my seat to travel comfortably. I was looking for an alternative and since I already travel with an Osprey Porter 30 as my carry on, I decided to look at the company’s other offerings. I found this and decided to give it a try. Everything that I’m carrying in my vest fits in this sling bag. While my Porter 30 is the overhead, I had access to all my items such as a one liter bottle of Aquafina water, a 12 oz orange juice, Apple AirPods Pro, portable battery charger, airline seat phone mount, stylus pen, Chapstick, Vicks Vapo-Inhaler, packets of Splenda, my wallet, work credentials, work iPhone, and a can of Copenhagen. My travel experience improved significantly and I am able to sit in my economy airline seat comfortably. The vest was cool and still works for keeping warm but with all that I carry, it started to feel like a drag. Plus now without out the vest, I don’t have all these strangers approaching me and pestering me about whether I am going on a fishing trip, which I am not ever going to. Sure the vest is a conversation starter to talk about fishing but I don’t partake in that. This Osprey sling is now my second carry on in addition to my Porter 30. There are two pockets with dual zippers and a zip up pocket on the sling. I am able to wear this comfortably with the main body on chest while wearing my Porter 30 on my back. It is a 5 liter size, so keep that in mind. The materials appear to be of high quality and I am very satisfied that I bought this. Looking forward to using on all my trips. Highly recommended.

Just the quality I’d expect from osprey.Fits loads in! Really good for long days out exploring & taking all you need with you.Really comfy & looks very pretty too. Cane all round Holland with me on a very warm week & was very comfy to carry.

Tissus et fermetures bien costaud. Des points d’ancrages sont prévus au besoin pour des mousquetons. Attention cependant, ce sac n’est pas étanche au-delà d’une petite ondée.

Fantastic bag. Very comfortable and packed with user friendly pictures. The neutral colour goes with everything. It fits all my daily essentials with some room to spare.
