Emerson CKS1401 Smartset AM/FM Dual Alarm Clock Radio with 0.9” White LED Display with 4-Level Dimmer Control, USB-C Charging, and 2-Level Multi-Color LED Decor

I bought this clock because I was tired of having to reset everything after the power goes out because of no battery backup. The clock does set itself automatically , if you’re in the eastern time zone(per the instructions in box) and has 7 different time zones. I have read in the previous reviews that the directions can be difficult, but they didn’t seem to difficult to me and everything was fairly straightforward and no problems settling up. Some also said that you couldn’t select an individual fm channel and can only scan and it selects a local channel for you. This is not correct, as you’re able to select a channel that you want and not just have to settle with the scanned channels. The dimmer is ok as it doesn’t cut off completely(I wish it did) but I can deal with that. The dimmer has like high, medium, and low setting but not off. The sound sounds good and the size is good. The LED light is a nice touch. So,after having this clock 2 days I would say it’s a good clock and I would recommend.

I’m giving this clock radio five stars because it truly does what it advertises, the clock sets itself accurately automatically once removed from the box and powered up. And the clock face can be easily dimmed to suit your needs. The radio is just OK, and tuning is only possible by hitting the scan button - in other words there’s no knob to turn to move up and down the “dial”. Once you find a station, you can push another button to put it into memory for easy recall. Radio reception seems adequate, but I’m in a 50 unit apartment building. That’s difficult to get good reception with the best of equipment. So it may perform better than adequate elsewhere. I bought this mostly for the clock and less so for the radio. The easy clock set-up is a big plus, as we all know how frustrating it can be to set the time on these digital clocks. Finally, for the price I would say this is an excellent value.

I bought this radio but being 77 years old it was WAY too complicated! It's pretty but that is all I can say about it! Even my kids had problems following the directions! Its WAY too smart for the elderly!!!

I don't use an alarm clock because of the cell phone, however, I have had one for so long on my dresser that, since it appears to be slowly failing. I thought i would order this. I plugged it in and it set itself to date and time. Buttons a little stiff however, not hard to figure out. Not too bright and I like the night light. You can set a solid color, or the multi color, or let it rotate thru the colors. So I like it for my purpose. Trying to figure out the radio presets is a little confusing and I think I set one station to like 10 presets...lol...however, I probably wont use the radio anyway. The antenna is a wire hanging from the back. If you want a fancy clock with alot of features that is easy to toggle thru, this may not be it. But if you want to look over and see ehat time it is without reaching for phone, this serves the (my) purpose.

This alarm clock is rated 5 stars based on the price ($14.99) and all the features it has considering the price. I have been looking for a simple, AM/FM radio alarm clock for a decent price. Most of the alarm clocks I've seen either don't include a radio and/or are priced higher than I wanted to pay. I can't believe all the features that this clock has for its price. Although I will rarely use the colorful LED light(s), it's cool that I can turn them on if I want to (and so many colors to choose from!). This clock has a USB C charge port on the side, 2 alarm settings, 20 preset memory for radio stations, and a button cell backup battery (a few other features too!). It's smaller than other alarm clocks I've had (and the buttons on the clock are small and a little hard to read), but I can get used to these things. I sometimes don't need instructions for setup, but I did need to refer to the manual to figure out this clock. For this price, I would recommend this clock if you are looking for a digital alarm clock with AM/FM radio.

Purchased this clock to replace my old one that was starting to go out. This one is smaller, easy buttons to use. I like the color of the numbers better. The adjustment for the dimness is better. I was able to purchase it as like new with cheaper price. I like how Emerson makes a clock that resets itself!!

This alarm clock is perfect! We wanted an alarm clock for my child because he’d get up randomly at 3am and start turning on his lights in his room to play thinking he could get up. I told him he needs to go back to bed unless it’s 6am or later (unless he’s sick of course) then he can get up. It’s worked perfectly. Now he’s gained independence goes back to sleep on his own. Also, he wanted a clock radio like I had for finding radio stations, but he didn’t want bright scary red numbers so we use the white color display on the dim setting not to effect his sleep. The clock is always on time no need to set, self adjusting, and it’s easily visible from across the room. We don’t use the alarm so I can’t tell you what it’s like but he loves it. 6 months in and so far it’s great!

It always runs about five minutes or so fast, and there's no way to manually set it. I swear it gets faster the longer it runs.

Not a good experience with this one. Two button functions were backwards, did not operate the indicated function!!. The worst part is that the seller approved the return but the customer had to pay the return shipping charge. This is acceptable. Where is the QC ???.
