These speakers are very clear and have decent bass for the size. I like big bass, so I use them with a subwoofer. But without the subwoofer, I could hear the bass guitar in the music. They are well worth the price. They are also easy to set up. I really like the connectors on the back because I could use the banana plugs that were on my speaker wires.

Nice little speakers. Comparable in size and sound to the micca mb42x. Own their big brothers as well. The b65s had some build quality issues but these b40s were pretty good. Overall nice, cheap, attractive, speakers for the price. Not gonna blow anyone away with bass. Would be best suited for a nearfield setup like a PC desk or maybe some height channels in a ht.

They are very inexpensive for what they are , sound pretty darn good the way they are . But for my purpose,I am using the cabinets for my 4 inch DIATONE full range driver , so in a day or 2 I will install the DIATONE's and design the filter network and impedance compensation network . Bravo once again the Parts Exspress for a awesome product.

Good high frequency response and imaging. For the price it's a solid selection compared to other similar options. Trying to get low end out of them is a fools errand and what is there is muddy so temper your expectations in that regard. These can function decently in a passive multi-speaker setup that includes a sub or other full range speakers, but I would not recommend them as a dedicated pair of monitors by themselves. There are better powered options for just a little more like the Eris ones. They also take a bit of power, which was a little surprising to me. If you don't have individual speaker pair volume control then these may not be as loud as you think they ought to be - likely an advantage if you are just buying these as inexpensive surrounds or rears - that's a good application for these.

Great sound quality in a small, affordable sound package. Used as main speakers for home entertainment center.

So, I am no Audiophile, at very least I don't consider myself one, however I have experienced alot of powered speakers for desktops, and worked on some in schools for cafeterias and auditoriums. Using this as the first "real" set of speakers (Not a spliced pair of laptop speakers or sound bar surround channel speakers), they work amazingly. Using a Aiyima A07 Pro with the stock power supply and 14 gauge banana plug cables, they are incredibly clear and on a desktop they fill my room easily, I'm starting to notice parts of the music or details in the movies audio that add so much more impact (they aren't by any means bass cannons). genuinely I am so much happier that I picked up this set of speakers on top of my new Aiyima A07 Pro.

I bought these for a 2.1 system mainly for music (Streaming and Vinyl) but also my TV. I wanted a simplistic and vintage style. The build quality is beyond what I had expected. The color and woodgrain blend well even with the cloth covers on. I am currently running these on a 100x2 Hi-Res streaming amplifier with optical and HDMI ARC. I was extremely curious if they had a limit of 75hz or could they audibly play lower with little to no distortion at reasonable volumes. I played a few tracks and was able to achieve a clean 40hz with no issues. Being as small as they are the soundstage and performance was outstanding and really similar to my Polk Audio XT20 Bookshelf speakers I had sitting around. All together I'd say it's 100% worth the money and best bang for your buck. Thank You!!!

Aunque parezcan muy sencillas y pequeños, estos oradores despliegan un sonido musical muy agradable, talvez por alguna característica especial de sus creadores Dayton Audio! Esta pequeña cabina sellada se escucha mejor de lo que uno puede esperar! Ahora talvez valla por las B65 Madera! Por lo pronto las B40 destacan bien para una sala promedio!
