Philips Hue Twilight Smart Sleep and Wake-Up Lamp, Smart LED, White

I love these lamps. We bought two which are admittedly expensive.. But it is great to have such a variety of lighting options..The buttons on the lamp itself really only switch it on and off at increasing levels of brightness but it comes into its own with the App... I like being able to set it to nightlight when you need the merest glow of lighting. The reading lamp setting is perfect.. There are also some lovely colour combinations ...The only recommendation If you buy two of these is to pretend they are in different rooms on the App.. Otherwise a setting to one means they both have the same lighting pattern which I don't often want.Expensive but worth it in my view

I put a great deal of thought into buying this lamp. It was a huge amount of money to spend on basically a bedside lamp. Have never regretted it, I adore it. Is part of my sleep routine. Can set it to slowly dim and switch itself off so it's never on when I'm asleep and slowly starts to mimic sunrise when it's nearing the time I've set to rise. Lovely natural way to start and end my day. I love it.

Now first of all, these are ridiculously expensive bed side lights. I'd reviewed them previously , loved the look , the design and the capability but I just could not justify the price. I have many smart accessories in my home and wanted to add these to my set up. Thankfully they came up in the sale with a really good discount so I went for it.Don't get me wrong, even in the sale they're an expensive light but I've been really pleased with them. I wouldn't say the set up was easy but I found my way around the app in the end and watched a few You Tube videos to help.The different light settings are really good and the customisation elements are excellent. I've enjoyed the dimming effect when I'm ready to go to sleep along with the sunrise effect in the morning as I'm waking at 5am. I can't say it's made me feel anymore alert or awake at 5am but it's a nice scene and I'm happy with it. Works well with Siri too and responds well and easily. The design is great in my modern , minimalist design and I'm very happy that I bought them. They're still too expensive for what they are but..... boys and their toys.

Great lamp, solid in construction and wonderful lighting

This is an expensive bedside light and for that you'd want it to be top at everything.In terms of what it does well, it benefits from the usual Philips Hue ease of use, rich vibrant colours and high quality flicker free light. It does look nice beside the bed with a sleek white plastic body and cork base for stability and a design element, and the cable routes nicely out the back for a minimalist look. There is the down facing front light for reading or more direct light, and a gradient set of lights at the back aimed at painting the wall behind your bed in colour.These back lights tie into the wake up and sleep automations (the sleep automation I believe is unique to these lights) which works really well at a soft way to either wake up or fall asleep, although I find it's use for sleep significantly less useful. When waking up, it casts a soft sunrise effect going from the blue of the early dawn sky through orange to a nice pleasing daytime shade of white.There are two buttons at the top that can be used to control this light or set automations to occur such as the sleep automation, and the functionality can be controlled with the Hue app. If you have the Hue bridge, it can also integrate with HomeKit and these buttons can be used for HomeKit triggers too.As for negatives - for the price, I do not feel the build quality is great. The plastic looks clean and minimal but is arguably too cheap a material for such an expensive lamp. The cork base is not fixed on and can be easily removed from the bottom, and can become damaged as a result. I had to superglue mine back together as it feel apart when I accidentally removed it from one of my pair. They also become warmer than I would like - not alarmingly so, but I know it's wasted electricity.I have also had unusual connectivity issues with these upon initial setup - struggling to get one to pair at all, and having them not work at all with wake up automations. Unpairing them from the bridge and re-pairing them fixed these issues and they haven't happened again since, but it's disappointing for such an expensive addition to Hue's lineup to have these software issues.They are good bedside lights with great wake up functionality and I am happy I have them, but if I am honest I'm not sure the value proposition is great for them at this price.

I found the design of this Hue Lamp delightful. Placed on the bedside table it looked great. Set up was very easy and I was amazed by the features. What’s fantastic is it’s actually two lights - a forward facing one and a backwards one. Creating scenes like a sunrise or sunset have made waking up / going to bed a dream. Inside the hue app you can set up automations, such as wake up. The light will gradually increase in strength.The build quality is what you would expect. The plug is rather large and it would have been cool for some sort of Qi charging feature to be added.If you have a hue house then this light will fit right in, but it certainly comes as a cost.

Esta lámpara, de la familia Hue, es algo diferente al resto, y no lo digo por el diseño, propiamente, sino por su funcionalidad, que me ha resultado sorprendente.Principalmente está pensada para ser una lámpara para colocar en la mesilla de noche. Ello es porque hace luz por la parte "frontal", la que se ve en la foto, pero también de forma indirecta a través del cuerpo, por la parte posterior que, a menudo, no se ve desde el frontal.Eso creo un juego muy peculiar, ya que podemos usarla para iluminar "lo que tenemos debajo" (sea una mesilla de noche, sea un escritorio...), y/o la pared que tiene detrás (luz indirecta).A través de la App, es posible programarla para que nos despertemos progresivamente y con cromoterapia (es muy sencillo el uso), lo que contribuye a despertar "bien" y de forma progresiva, pero también podemos usarla para iluminar de forma indirecta la habitación, o incluso para hacer eso y, también, iluminar el escritorio o la mesita de noche.La iluminación es interactiva, es decir, podemos iluminar con distintos colores para crear la atmósfera que queramos, pero más aún: admite la función de iluminación con gradientes, eso permite iluminar "no solo con un color", sino con matices y degradados, algo que le da un toque genial.Sinceramente, vale lo que cuesta. ¡Superrecomendable!

Tolle Lampe, ich hab sie super gern. Sie ist sehr hübsch, und macht ein sehr angenehmes Licht, die Weckfunktion ist super und funktioniert für mich optimal zum Aufwachen - es schaffen zwar alle möglichen Dinge mich aufzuwecken, aber mit der Lampe habe ich dann auch Lust den Tag zu starten und bin munter und weniger widerwillig geweckt.Per App kann man verschiedene Farbprogramme einstellen, und über Bluetooth die Lampe aus der Entfernung bedienen, beides praktisch. Achtung: Man muss die Aufwachfunktion jeden Tag neu aktivieren, außer man kauft ein Zusatzmodul.

J’en ai acheté deux, et elles sont, comme toujours, très bien protégées dans les boîtes en carton de Philips, assurant une excellente stabilité. L’installation est simple et intuitive. Il est recommandé de disposer d’un hub Philips pour exploiter pleinement les fonctionnalités offertes. Si vous possédez une télévision avec Ambilight, vous serez enchanté par l’expérience ! En effet, ces lampes permettent de configurer deux sources lumineuses en une seule unité, ce qui est particulièrement impressionnant avec l’ Ambilight. L’effet est magique et magnifique. Les lampes Gradient offraient déjà de superbes dégradés de couleurs, mais lors de la synchronisation avec l’ Ambilight de la TV, une seule couleur était prise en compte. Les créateurs ont surmonté ce défi, et le résultat est d’une beauté époustouflante. Ces lampes respirent la qualité et s’intègrent discrètement dans n’importe quel décor. The lamp works well, and simulates a sun rise quite good, I usually wake up five minutes before the alarm now.What brought down the rating was that I got a used product, the package was opened and the product was clearly sued before, but sold as new.Philips have hybris to set premium prices, but have no idea what it means to be a premium company, Amazon on the other hand immediately offered a discount or return. And I was good with a discount.Philips Hue need to get back to school and take some basic course in management, running a company is a lot more than just desperate selling products.,,
