We have 2 cats who have different dietary restrictions, and need to be on wet food now. This has made life a lot easier. I know there was a lot of concerns about the food or device being warm, I believe this was patched in a firmware/device update and its always cold. I do recommend you dry clean the inside, pretty much everytime you reload the device, as puddles of condensation appear under the food dish (plus it keeps it clean for the babies (: Highly recommend for keeping your pets on a regular feeding schedule. My only gripes are: Thiis device needs to be online at all times, and that if there are issues with your wifi, or the web app/service PetLibro ia down, the food will not dispense. Only 3 meals, the device could handle more Scheduling in the app is a buggy nightmare, it works but it took a few days to really get it. Rating it a 5 because its currently, as of December 2024, a great solution.

I am so happy with my purchase! It has been great with keeping my cat’s wet food cold and giving it to her at the right times. She has stopped relying on me to give her the food by waking me up every morning at 5am. Now I can sleep in without any disturbances! I love the app so far we have been using it for a little over a week. It will let you know how often your pet has been at the feeder, how long they were there for, and at what times they ate food. It has been an absolute game changer for us, as when we go on trips we don’t have to get the pet sitter to come two times a day just when the feeder is empty!

Update 3/7 I’m reducing my 4 stars to 1. Not only did the unit stop working in less than 7 months, I’m also gettin no response from Petlibro. Multiple email requests and request through their support site have gone unanswered. It’s unfortunate, because other than the cooling unit failing, I really liked the product. Update 3/2/25. I’ve had this unit for 7 months now and today I went to clean and refill and found a blue tint in the food wells. It looks like some sort of mold. I also notice the unit wasn’t cold like it normally is. Every Sunday I thoroughly wipe down the unit and dust the side vents. I know the issue isn’t a result of clogged air vents. I have an email into Petlibro for support. I’m concerned that my pet may have eaten moldy food and also that it’s been less than a year and this product is already failing. ************************ Update: my ginger has finally figured out the dispenser and is eating from the unit without any issues. At 4am I hear him make a mad dash to the kitchen just seconds before the dinner bell. I think he hears the door sliding open! Absolutely love this feeder. **************** I really like the petlibro wet cat food dispenser. Its modern design and easy setup/maintenance are features that I appreciate. The app tells me how many times my cat visits the unit to eat and the duration. I also like the option of the smart notification feature that sounds every xx minutes for 10 minutes, and stopping when your pet starts eating. The main reason for purchasing this unit was so that I didn’t have to getup every morning at 4/4:30am to open a can of wet food. The first morning I walked my cat to the dispenser to show him his food. He was quite skeptical and didn’t really eat so I scoped out the food and placed it in his regular bowl. The next morning I walked him over a minute before the dispensed time so that he’d hear the bell. He still wouldn’t eat. 5th morning I realize about 5am he hadn't eaten much so I walk him over and watched him eat. I noticed that he had to cock his head to the side to eat. As I watched, I realized the compartment area is kinda small for his head and I think he’s experiencing whisker fatigue. I scooped the rest of the food out and placed it on a paper plate and he ate it right up. I don’t mind getting up at 4am until he gets the hang of the feeder but if he’s having difficulty eating from the unit, I will need to send it back. We are on day 8 now, and I’m working with him to associate the “dinner bell” to the unit. He’s still not getting it but he is a ginger after all. It might take a little more effort. Overall I really like this product

There are so many problems with this feeder I don't think I have enough room to fit them all here. From the schedule, that only allows you to set a total of 3 feeding times per day, and only for a maximum of 4 hours each. Meaning your cat is only allowed to access their food for a total of 12 hours a day. If your cat is a grazer, like mine, they want/need access to their food closer to 20 hours daily. So I have to set myself reminders and use the app to manually open the feeder, which cancels out any potential schedule, so now I'm a slave to having to remember to open the feeder every 5 hours or so. I know from experience when WFH that sometimes the app doesn't work and will tell you the unit is open when it isn't, or that the dish has rotated, when it hasn't. So on days when I am in office, I have to hope my cat actually has access to their food. Some times the app just refuses to communicate with the unit and I have had to go through multiple attempts at restarting the app, my phone, or unplugging and resetting the unit to get it to work again. Their solution, put the unit within 2 feet of your wireless modem...as if that's realistic... It's 6 months into my ownership of this unit and the refrigeration unit seems to have died, or is dying, as it no longer keeps the food as cool as it used to, perhaps that's a result of having to keep the unit open longer than they want to allow you, and so it's overworking. But that's an issue of poor design. There is a sensor built in that knows when your cat is at the bowl and feeding, I don't understand why there isn't a feature to have it automatically open when it senses your cat there, and then have it close after the 3-5 minutes they might eat.

I’ve been using this for about a week or two on and off! It’s a great addition to my house! I initially really really did not want to order it in the black colour but I waited for months both on amazon (Canada) and the pet libro website and the white was still out of stock. My cat is white so I find her hair and dust get on it and make it look grimy daily but I just give it a while down. I find the app reasonable easy to use and to program her three feeds a day. I have run into issues scheduling and I just delete it and start again and it all works out. I don’t love that it only comes with one plastic bowl, the stainless steel bowl option was also not available in Canada when I bought this but I reached out and they should have it available at the end of the month. I plan on retiring the plastic bowl and buying 2-3 stainless versions just so I can have them in the dishwasher. I also really wish I could turn the noise down lower for the cute “ding ding!” That it makes when food is ready. Not off, just quieter particularly for her morning feed. You can turn it off but then I find she may miss a feed. All in all, a great feeder, just a few small things.
