Buy Anker? 5200mAh Extended Battery for Samsung Galaxy S4, SIV, S IV, GT-I9505, with NFC/Google Wallet + White Cover [18-Month Warranty]: Batteries - desertcart.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases Review: Great battery that will double your battery life! - I no longer use this as i no longer use a samsung phone. However, during the time that i did, i found it hard to ever switch back to my stock battery. This one doubled my battery life, and although it makes the phone a bit thick, i find that the benefit of extended battery life outweighed the downside to a bulkier phone. Pros : Double the battery, for real world all day usage! Great pricing Cons : Bulkier phone with this battery installed No custom case available to use for protection after installing the battery and the back cover. Wish they sold an accessory which would help protect my phone from drops after installing this battery and back cover. When the battery reaches 2%, it seems to idle there for a long long time before dying out. Appears to be some sort of calibration issue, one that i could never figure out and get to work correctly. Overall, i was extremely happy with this and highly recommend it to those who use the phone extensively and need a full days charge from it. Review: Lazarus the Phone - I'm a veteran of extended batteries and if you go cheap you get what you pay for. This one from Anker I thought I could say was the exception as they are a direct competitor of EZOPower in the alternative power market for cell phones and they make a good product. I'm obviously in error mainly because of the advertised mAh value of 5200. If you are familiar with your stock battery and its performance the first few weeks you'll know that if you download any battery widgets you are rated for roughly 22-23 hours of use by any measure. Actually using the phone degrades this a great deal however, I've tried several widgets and the phone battery gauge. Nothing points to this giving ANY additional power from the OEM 2600mAh battery during the first week of operation. I did notice after it was rated at 100% charged that the phone notated it not being "fully charged" for another hour and ten minutes, which I've never seen with any other battery however the discharge cycle is the exact same length as an OEM 2600mAh battery. That basically makes it an oversize OEM replacement with no discernible benefits other than adding the ability to use it as a bludgeon and I've got much cheaper rocks outside than a $600 phone. Overall it is an utter disappointment and no stretch of the imagination is going to stretch this battery's capacity. I have let it charge for 11 hours and still, even rated fully charged by any of the calculation apps, it is just...the same as the factory battery on a good day. The Seidio is rated for less but likely is at least what it claims to be. I'll consider it next after returning this. I give it 1 star. UPDATE: After interacting with Anker Customer Service and getting another battery to try I can say the performance is much better. I've used it a few days now, going on a week, and while the "Not Fully Charged" phenomenon still persists, the rate of idle discharge is far lower and it easily survives a shift and a half of use in low reception areas (which drains a phone far faster than if you have full signal strength or WiFi to use) and it still charges about as fast as the stock battery (which I do not have a reason for but can certainly appreciate). Certainly a turn around for the battery and I have nothing but good things to say about the Customer Service Representatives who assisted me. I can safely recommend this product to friends at this point. I'll give it 4 stars because it is really nice but I got a bad one to start so take that as it comes. Sometimes batteries are inconsistent.

The battery is defective.
I had the battery for a couple of months (too long to send back to Amazon) and it started to get really hot, really really hot. I took the battery out to look at it and it was swollen and scorching hot. I put it in a ceramic cup and let it sit out for awhile to see if it would cool down, but it remained very hot all day. The next afternoon it went down to being only warm and then finally cool. I ended up having this disposed and put the regular battery back in. I miss having the extra hours of charge, but since I sleep next to my phone I am kinda concerned that it could have actually exploded or caught fire next to me had I not noticed it. If you notice your battery is hot, and your phone has been powered off for awhile be sure to check to make sure it has not swelled up. There is always the possible chance I got a defective battery, but there is no way to know for sure. The regular battery that came with the phone has functioned properly since re-installing it, that said it doesn't last as long. The best thing about these batteries is that you can use your phone the whole day, so I hope it continues to work for you all. I am considering buying another one some day, but I might have to do some research first next time.

Great battery life, but my phone stopped working well. And the case sucks
First of all the battery really does make a huge difference. I was impressed by how much longer my phone lasted. However after about two weeks my phone became super unresponsive. I'd hit the home button to wake it up and nothing would happen for about 30 seconds. Then when I was using the phone everything was incredibly delayed. I switched to my old battery and the problem went away immediately. Secondly, the case the extended battery comes with is so cheap. I accidentally dropped the phone from chair height and the case popped off and cracked. Anker did offer to replace my case for free but once my phone started acting so poorly is was just better to return the whole thing. I think the back case did not properly hold the battery in place and that is why is acted so poorly. I am now just going to buy an external battery that I can plug my phone into to charge it on the go. It doesn't effect the size of my phone or my battery's performance, and others can use it if needed. The product is a good idea, just not fully functional yet. Needs to be improved.

Been using for a week, charge drops down quickly from 100 to 85% with minimal use, but still lasts a day on mild-moderate use and now I have to charge it only once a day. Mixed emotions better than my old samsung battery, not great as I expected Pros: Cover good and sleek, sturdy, better grip on the S4 to hold Cons: Heavy, needs a separate compatible case for protection as now the S4 has greater momentum and would break when it falls. Initially cyanogen mod ROM failed to boot up on changing battery 3-4 times, Charge potential not as great as expected for my usage. Update: Great Customer service, problem because of small crack in the case, customer service followed up the review and offered replacement without even me approaching them, that too when i asked I need only case, they replace both battery and case due to compatibility. (This has never happened in any of the products that I bought so far). Received replacement by next day delivery from Amazon. Great follow up, Keep it up Anker. Thoroughly impressed with the service. Have changed the star status to 5 now
