Excellent Portable Document Camera
The Shine800 USB Document Camera is a fantastic tool for anyone in education or business. I primarily use it for online teaching, and it has significantly improved my setup for Zoom and Google Meet. It’s super easy to connect to both macOS and Windows via a simple USB cable, and the real-time projection and video shooting feature works flawlessly, making it perfect for live demonstrations or sharing documents. As a portable document scanner, it’s compact and lightweight—folds up easily and only weighs 2 lbs, so I can carry it anywhere with no hassle. I’ve used it to scan all sorts of documents up to A4 size, and the results have been sharp and clear thanks to the 8MP camera. The LED lights are adjustable, which is great for low-light conditions. One of the best features is the built-in OCR (Optical Character Recognition), which allows me to convert scanned images into editable Word or PDF files. It supports over 180 languages, which is impressive! However, note that it doesn’t work well with glossy materials like photos or magazines.Overall, I highly recommend the Shine800 for its portability, excellent performance, and ease of use. It’s a perfect choice for distance learning, remote meetings, or scanning on the go!

Life Saver for Legal Work!
This CZUR Shine800 Pro scanner is an absolute game-changer! I've been buried in paperwork for my grandfather's estate, and this scanner has saved me countless hours. It's incredibly fast, and the OCR function is spot on. The price is unbeatable for such a high-quality product. I highly recommend it to anyone dealing with large volumes of documents.

Very nice
I've just used my phone for scanning for some time. While that works for small jobs, this is amazing for large jobs, especially ones that are odd sized or otherwise don't work in a flat bed scanner.

The CZUR Document/Book Scanner & Visual Presenter
In this new era of decluttering, I decided to try a Book/Document Scanner. The CZUR Shine Ultra Scanner is from a company with a complete line of Scanners. The Scanner plugs into the USB port of your computer; has a foot pedal that can be used as the Scan button; Finger Cots that can be used to turn your pages and a large Black Soft Pad to place your documents. The scanner have two main heights and and lighting is adjustable with a knob. The software can be downloaded from the CZUR website by selecting the Shine Ultra Model and entering the serial number on the bottom of the scanner. The scanner has a number of different settings for scanning a book. I liked the results using the grayscale setting. Since CZUR has a large selection of high end scanners, their technology appears to be very advanced such as auto edge recognition, auto curve recognition, auto edge cropping rotation correction and auto curve flattening. Unlike other scanners, you can outline several multiple scan images using the Box Select Tool for the Book page(s) or Document. You will see a number in the upper right corner of the Box Select Tool. When resizing the area using the Box Select Tool, you have to be careful to not create a new Scan Area. The CZUR Scan Software allows you to review your scans and place the unused scans in the trash. The Software has many features including a Visual Presenter Mode for using on Zoom/Google Meet/Teams Meetings or with Projectors. This is a good entry level Book/Document/Visual Presenter Scanner for those needing this for Business or for those Decluttering.

Kind of an all purpose scanner…
This is a great scanner if you have awkward, large documents to scan. I have not scanned an actual book as of yet, but I did scan various size documents and even some photos, and it works great. The scanner unit itself is of metal construction and is heavy and sturdy. It comes with various accessories including a convenient foot switch to keep your hands free when wrestling with large books. The kit includes a CD with the software and drivers, but if you don’t have CD drive you can download the sofware from the manufacturers website. The software is surprisingly well done and quite intuitive and is much better than I had anticipated. All in all, if you have books or large documents to digitize, this an affordable option.

Great for scanning multiple pages at high speed
This scanner is fast. Unlike a flatbed scanner, it doesn't need to move the sensor across the page. It takes a snapshot and depends on software for the final image. The documents to be scanned don't have to be flat. It's capable of scanning a bound book or journal, and is a USB device class camera, so you can use it for zoom presentations as well. The CZUR scanner is foldable and lightweight for portability, and has a two level adjustment so you can frame your documents properly. An included pad makes it easy to place your documents, and a dark background for contrast. A pair of lights can be adjusted for intensity level, and provide even lighting for the source documents. The camera has a 13 megapixel sensor and outputs a 4K image. The resulting resolution is 245 dpi for A4 size paper. This is great for documents and books, but not for photos or artwork that require a high resolution image.Note that the recommended software is not fully functional on the Macintosh, and the OCR doesn't work on newer Macintoshes. You can use third party software to make up for those deficiencies. This will not replace a high quality flatbed scanner, but makes more sense for quick scanning of documents where speed is more important than high resolution, and the portability is a plus.
