Great compact stereo. The sound is ok. It has a basic equalizer so you can make it higher base with the rock setting or high treble in the jazz mode. When the volume is high the music is a bit distorted. Also the lowest volume is Loud. Even when you turn it down its still Loud. Sound is not the greatest. Very low wattage but great for price. Perfect for a bedroom or man cave. Easy to set up. Holds 30 preset radio stations. Sadly only has one CD. The only drawback is the CD button is directly beneath the CD tray so when the tray is open its hard to get to the button. I just use the remote. The remote is really too small. Its about. 4in x 2in so it could get lost easily. Great for a bedroom or man cave. It has a solid blue light around the CD tray and volume knob. The speakers flash to the beat of the music. Reminds me of the light boxes of the 70's. Good value for the price. I would totally recommend it. I also got the insurance which is good for 3 years only $21.99. Fantastic deal. If they can not fix they will send you an Amazon gift card for the value and you can buy another new one with the gift card. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Great quality stereo! My son uses it for his CDs and to listen to the local stations. Looks great and was easy to set up. Sound quality is amazing.

I bought this for my Daughter as a small replacement stereo. It works fine but it's really quirky when it comes to using a memory stick and .mp3 files. A good memory stick can hold hundreds of .mp3's and the way the magnavox works to read them is maddening. It's fine for tracks 1-10 but beyond that you have to tell it to play track 10 + 5 and continue in increments of 5 to get to the track you want. For example, to play track 30 you would have to use the remote to do track 10 + 5+5+5+5. Imagine what you have to push to get it to play track 189 on a memory stick. That or manually push the next button on the remote to get to that track 189 times. So, for that part this magnavox SUCKS!!! But for all other aspects it works fine and is a nice sounding device.

I more than like this stereo, I LOVE it!! The sound quality is so great!! I couldn't believe a stereo this size could have so much power and clarity! I'm quite impressed!. Before I purchased this one, I purchased a different brand at Walmart. I wish I had never bought it! It wasn't worth what I paid for it! The sound quality is very poor!. I still kept it though, so I may use it for taking with me when I go camping. I guess it's better than nothing at all! But I should have chosen Amazon first!! Lesson learned!!.

This unit comes with blinking speaker light that act like disco light and are blue in color that blink in time to the music or talking. Talk about an irritation but you can unplug them to keep them dark, which you'll want if you want to sleep with the music on. One other irritation is the actual channel tuning...you haven't any choice on which channels you want to listen to (up to 30 stations) because the unit pre-programs all 30 station, regardless of what they are. They can be static, too, but you cannot program your favorites to play in the order YOU want. It just ain't happening, so scan to the station you want and listen but you'll have to push the scan button repeatedly to find then next, favorite, station and repeat if you want to return to your first favorite channel. But overall it's a decent device minus the gripes I've mentioned. ***EDIT UPDATE*** I've used this stereo for some time now and have come to almost LOATHE it! It has a tendency to just turn off after a few hours that morphed into about NMT 30-45 minutes for some reason. The power stays on according to the dial but no music or vocals of ANY kind will come from the speakers. I have to physically unplug the unit then plug back in to get it to "reset" so I can listen again but then it goes back to turning off again so I need to unplug it. This is UNACCEPTABLE and I don't know if I should keep it for short listening times or just toss it in the trash. What do you think the chances are the manufacturer will replace it after these few months?!? I'm not going to hold my breath.

This a great little 3piece bookshelf stereo. The sound on all facadfes of the machine is very good. I like the fact that you can either have the light show for your home disci or for the speakers or just your music. Well worth the money

Good value for the money. I only lit the disc player. The speakers light up too, but too much for me. Very pleased.
